Royal Queen Seeds had their grand opening yesterday here in Bangkok. They have more than 115 varieties of seeds. They also sell flower, although have limited strains (three?). Functions as a full cannabis experience (education/learning) location.

I think they're more worried about more concentrated forms of THC than extraction, per se. And I think extraction refers to any form of removal of THC from the flower, whether with chemicals, heat, screens/bags are used. But someone is buying those screens, progressive bags and Rosin presses. Someone close by got busted in August 2020, and in one of the police photos you can see his press.

If you want the hash experience legally and easily here just try some Indica-dominant strains. When did you last smoke hash or cannabis? Where was this, or where did the hash come from? Which effects are you hoping to reproduce?

Not exactly. There are HUGE differences. Daylight is the major one. Now Jamaica might be more lattitudenly appropriate? 80% of the quality consumer Cannabis in the U.S. is grown indoors. Different people have different "memories" of Thai sticks, but if you want dirt weed wrapped around a stick, then soaked in bilge water and diesel fuel (from smuggling), then no, you cannot. You can look for Thai landrace strains, which some are being grown here. Or you could look for Sativa-dominant strains, many have Thai genetics. I'd suggest a Sativa would be replicate that Thai stick feeling. Most of locally grown quality cannabis is grown indoors, and from imported seeds. Indoor grown comands a significant price over outdoor. They bother to do it to make money. Many, many shops and online stores are selling Cannabis imported from the U.S. Thailand does not have the "ideal climate" to grow cannabis. The labor rate is not really a factor until maybe harvest, trimming and curing.

I get that Malaysian law (probably) prohibits the production, distribution and use of Cannabis. But surely those statutes cover one while in Malaysia? I mean if gambling is iilegal in a country, surely one can travel to a country where it is legal, gamble, and then return without being arrested and charged? I see that some countries (Singapore) test their own citizens returning, and treat positive results as if they had done it in their home country. But tourist/visitors? Ouch. (I think the Brazilian arrested in Indonesia with Cannabis purchased in Thailand did transit/stop over in KUL.) Maybe this is just a land border issue?

Getting the Cannabis Control Act gazetted is the first step. Until then it will be special proclamations to deal with one-off issues as they are raised. Once the CCA is in place, then all the agencies, boards, ministries will start issuing rules/regulations governing all things Cannabis. I think it will be a long process, maybe 18 - 24 months AFTER the CCA is gazetted until things shake out. Personal use will probably survive, albeit with more controls than exist today.

And buying/importing many things requires a license, like playing cards or marital aids, so yes buying/importing these devices may be "illegal". That said, "heated tobacco products" applies, I think, to products (tobacco) which can be heated. And not the device which does the heating. Note that that sentence is under the "Snus" category, further focusing on the product and not the way it is consumed. As Cannabis is legal, with some restrictions, I honestly do not think the authorities are going to crack down on the use or possession of, dry herb vaporizers. In fact it wouldn't surprise me if some aroma therapy (Terpene, for example) already offer this service in high-end spas for wellness packages for high-end tourists? Everyone has to make their own choices re: quality of life and risk/reward. Using a dry herb vaporizer to consume cannabis at home is probably not going to "get someone arrested". Personally, in a dozen or so purchases, both online and in the shop, I simply do a direct bank transfer from my phone, and then forward or show (most transactions for me occur on LINE or Messenger) a screengrab of the confirmation You could ask a friend, who has mobile banking, to make the transfer then you reimburse them in cash. Maybe ask Greenlabs for other options? I've never done it but I guess you could go to a branch of their bank and make a cash "transfer or deposit"?

In their defense I think they might say that they have to resell your less than prisitine bills to some Thai (predominantly) customer planning to go to the U.S. Or even to anyone traveling to a country where USD can be used. Hence they want the best possible product in their inventory to sell to other customers. Not unreasonable, given there are few alternatives which won't eat into their margin.

IMO, the police need to give a warning for foreign tourists found to be smoking cannabis in public, for first-time "offenders". The laws, such as they are, are not well publicized. The edict against public consumption, and potentially annoying others, is barely a month old, is only published in Thai in the Royal Gazette (not required reading by tourists as of yet). No need to create PR problems. Issue a written warning, or hand out an infographic on the current "laws". TAT needs to step up and issue broad warnings about Cannabis consumption. Oh, and not changing the rules daily would be a help too.

This lets everyone pedaling Cannabis food, health, beauty derived products off the hook. Greater than 0.2 % = Legal but Controlled Less than 0.2% = Legal, Not Controlled Seems fine, thank goodness someone pulled this silly edict back.
