  1. The Ozempic is working for Trump. Trump will last a long, long time. He's still on track to win in November. And Kamala Harris will do the right thing on January 6, 2025.
  2. This whole "weird" thing has definitely hit the mark. You can tell by the reaction, from the thin-skinned bunch. JD Vance isn't weird as much as he is creepy, skeevy, strange, odd, unusual, and completely lacking self-awareness. What kind of parent tells his seven-year-old son to "shut up"? And then brags about it. https://www.thedailybeast.com/jd-vance-told-his-son-to-shut-the-hell-up-about-pokemon-while-talking-to-trump
  3. But not impossible, right? I'm sure you can back up the claims in this "editorial". from the linked editorial... Now a review by DHS’s Citizenship and Immigration Services found that possibly tens of thousands of applications from migrants’ “sponsors” contained fraudulent info — the same addresses, for example, used by many of them, fake Social Security numbers and zip codes and even the same verbatim answers to questions. So, let's hear more about this "review". BTW, you're not supposed to huff the Kool-Aid, just drink it.
  4. I am struggling with this ahead of the NFL season. True has quite convoluted offerings...TrueVisions NOW, TrueID. Do you know which package you want to subscribe to? Do you have any True services? Phone, fiber? (Not sure if DTAC customers are as eligible as True customers?) I plan to subscribe to the TrueVisions NOW PREMIUM package at 449 ++VAT, hopefully paying from my prepaid balance. https://truevisions.co.th/packages/2073 Some options: Run the Truevisions NOW app on a mobile and cast to a TV or attached device. Run Truevisions NOW on the TV. Run Truevisions NOW on an attached device (like the True ID TV Box gen 2 or a Chromecast or any Android box). You can only run two instances of Truevisions NOW simultaneously. Otherwise you get an error. I've been running the Truevisions NOW app on my Samsung TV. This works. I've been running the Truevisions NOW app on my Chromecast (attached to my TV). This works. I've been running the Truevisions NOW app on a mobile and casting it to my TV, or my Chromecast. This works. I've been thinking about getting the True ID TV Box, but not 100% sure that would add any value. Also unsure about video performance (1080, 4K) on these various options.
  5. Trump did a great job at this event. I would encourage him to do more interviews like this. That was very brave of him.
  6. Thai Union bought into Red Lobster in 2016 and took control in 2020. Just couldn't replicate that Shrimp Buffet model. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhTAtJSZkrc How a global seafood giant broke Red Lobster https://edition.cnn.com/2024/05/25/business/red-lobster-bankruptcy-thai-union/index.html Red Lobster files for bankruptcy, says it’s investigating Thai Union’s “undue influence” in shrimp-purchasing decisions https://www.seafoodsource.com/news/business-finance/red-lobster-files-for-bankruptcy-says-it-s-investigating-thai-union-s-undue-influence-in-shrimp-purchasing-decisions
  7. There is a second female boxer, Taiwan's Lin Yu Ting, who has faced gender scrutiny. AFAIK, the IBA (or the French IBA as the world IBA is a tad corrupt) cleared both boxers to compete in the 2024 Olympics. Neither appears to be "dudes", based on birth records, background and much testing. Yes, they have won competitions, been banned from some, and lost to "real" women. So yes, of the ~ 5,000 female athletes at the Paris Olympics, two appear to be facing gender qualification issues. Given scant results so far (one match) it's challenging to define any "dominance". I'd say that doping continues to be the primary threat to competitive equality and balance. China seems to have compromised WADA, with a claim of a burger causing positive tests. Report on Chinese swimmer doping fuels anger over testing https://www.espn.com/olympics/story/_/id/40681020/report-chinese-swimmer-doping-fuels-anger-testing Pan Zhanle's dominance in the 100m Freestyle has caused some questions to be raised.
  8. I can't find that calendar in the User's Guide, but do remember it from the "previous" system. The current User's Guide still refers to a 14/15 day reporting window. https://tm47.immigration.go.th/manual/IndexForeign.html If they've reduced the window then they should probably notify filers, and update the User's Guide. - Submit a request in advance before the due date for the next report within 15 days. Conditions for not accepting requests for notification of residence more than 90 days online - Incomplete data entered as required by the system. - Not due for the next due date. (Apply after the previous petition is approved in 1 – 75 days)
  9. JD Vance has pretty epic Unfavorability ratings today. Can't say if he's weird, maybe just odd? Everyone Hates J.D. Vance: Poll J.D. Vance’s popularity levels have taken an embarrassingly brutal hit. https://newrepublic.com/post/184438/jd-vance-popularity-brutally-embarrassing-hit https://twitter.com/i/status/1816634155972673795
  10. I think you can report a lost or stolen card online via web or BofA mobile app. And you can request a new card similarly. I like the Bof A Travel Rewards Visa card as it has zero % foreign transaction fee. The last I looked they offered 3 -5 day international shipping, but the customer has to pay a portion of the shipping fee. Can you have a replacement card sent to your home in the U.S., and then have someone there send it, say, via Priority Mail (~ $40.80 the last time I had a card sent. Int'l airmail takes 10 - 14 days, used that a few weeks ago for my new BofA visa card.) What do you use for 2FA security options?
  11. Depends. Assuming the device, cable and LAN port support 1,000 Mbps (1 GbE), then that may be fastest. Assuming the WiFi device and router supports WiFi 6, then WiFi speeds would be in the 500 Mbps range. My TV only supports 10/100 ethernet (wired), so I get better performance over WiFi. I'm not sure about "order" but suspect wired ethernet would be the default if a cable is plugged in and is actively connected to the router and/or internet? This is the obvious solution to the OP's question(s).
  12. I was at Mega Bang Na on Tuesday afternoon/evening. Mall was heaving ~ 17:00. Long John's was ~ 50% full. There is a Shake Shack at Mega Bang Na too. I've never eaten at either (nor Taco Bell), in the U.S. or here. Native New Englander here, Clam Box devotee, North Shore (MA)/Ipswich, but others favor Woodman's.
  13. There may be a physical limitation (size of dispensing slot) which in turn limits the amount that can be withdrawn. I know I have a tight fit at the 18,000 amount (Bangkok Bank ATM), which requires some effort to pull the stack out of the slot. I'm not sure that ATM can go much greater than 20,000? The home bank may have a limit (say $500 per day), which limits the THB to ~17,000/18,000. The dispensing ATM may have a physical limit. Some folks say they do counter withdrawals, where the limits may be higher.
  14. In the smoking areas outside buildings ~ half the smokers are vaping. And the sidewalk/night markets are awash with vape devices and juice. Most of the clubbers have a vape dangling on a lanyard. Did I mention online sales? The "government" (& police) don't care to enforce this ban, maybe occasionally there is a raid/seizure but that's all for show.
  15. There is Duty Free on Arrival after Immigration, within the baggage carousel area. Savvy shoppers know the price/volume of items they buy consistently, so they know what represents a price advantage. For me, scotch/bourbon in the 2,500 - 3,500 range represents a significant value at DF, vs. in town. At the airport, you get 1L for the same price (or slightly less) as a 700/750 in town. So a ~25% savings.
  16. I think CW requires you to write your phone number on the TM7. I recall mid-2021 where this was added. And that's how a certain visa agency was able to cold-call so many in the months leading up to their renewal.
  17. The entire interview... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LzaA6fPskRY
  18. All but 2% of the populace have already formed an opinion about Trump, either positive or negative. So there are very few "undecideds" left to sway. It's going to come down to turn-out. And fewer than 100,000 people will decide the election in PA, MI, MN, WI, AZ, NV, GA, NE (2), ME (2). Last week, Trump was a shoo-in, with an Ivory-soap number. Now with VP Harris, her VP and JD Vance, we're back to 55/45 for Trump. He's got the Electoral College in hand. IMO, if Trump focused on four or five issues (including Women's Health Care), and offered reasonable solutions, he'd win easily. But he's not really an "issues" guy.
  19. A search would yield some valuable information as your question has been posed many times. Google schwab site:aseannow.com In general, people here seem quite happy with Schwab, and my recollections of posts over the years here is that Schwab is expat friendly, offer ATM fee rebates, free SWIFT transfers (initiated online), and a no-foreign transaction fee Visa credit card.
  20. We've had limited success "extending the reach of a LAN" over WiFi. On the plus side, that "Extender" is mesh/super-mesh compatible with your 3BB/AIS router. It does have an Ethernet port but I think that is 10/100 only.

  22. Ranked in order of "Scaramucci's"? A Scaramucci (or Mooch) is 11 (sometimes 10) days and is named after the length of White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci's tenure under ... When a male (preferably white) manager/leader challenges staff to perform he is deemed a leader. When a woman acts the same way? Well she's called something else. Tracking turnover in the Trump administration President Trump’s “A Team” turnover is 92% as of January 20, 2021 https://www.brookings.edu/articles/tracking-turnover-in-the-trump-administration/
  23. What service do you have from 3BB(/AIS)? Speeds? I believe this only supports (up to) 100 Mbps. Maybe it is CAT-5e? Which can support speeds up to (beyond?) 1,000 Mbps (1 GbE). Any special applications? Gaming? VPN? For this sort of application, we've used a low/mid-end WiFi router (for example: TP-Link Archer C-6 is a good budget model) configured as a (secondary) router (DHCP off, dedicated IP), and connected to the primary router (from 3BB/AIS), via Cat 6 cabling.
  24. Rumors swirling that Trump is suffering "buyer's remorse".
  25. More comparable to a toilet flushing.
