  1. Looks like he's a chestful of amulets, judging by the chainz.
  2. The photo on the TIME cover looks AI-enhanced, it hardly looks like the PM. https://time.com/6899782/thailand-prime-minister-srettha-thavisin-business-hub/
  3. The debate over casinos will be interesting when the Sangha Supreme Council weighs in. Gambling is a bit of a no-no, I think, within Buddhist precepts. Thailand is an ultra-conservative society. I can see same-sex marriage, and broader LGBTQ rights, being approved long before gambling is. And neither will be in the foreseeable future.
  4. Visa-free access might present even more problems with more denials on entry, forcing a quick return back to Thailand, as we see with Korea today. Requiring a screening process via a visa as is done with Schengen and U.K. is probably a better process.
  5. They already are... ...in local casinos, more often than not, operated under the auspices of the RTP. I think this is more about destination gambling, for international tourists. There are already a massive number of destinations for gambling, so not seeing Thailand getting much in the way of revenue as it will be done third-class.
  6. So this was a "discussion". English versions of this topic in the Thai press seemed to indicate it was a done deal and would be implemented by the end of next year.
  7. This current episode of Hapkarn's Follies feels like it is more about... - revenue sharing - sending a message Hapkarn will have to throw some/all of his Capos under the bus.
  8. These must be the last thirty (from 250) who are coherent and still have a pulse.
  9. Thailand drops another 14 places on the Democracy rankings. ~ 14 million votes...Poof! I guess that famous phrase..."We love them all the same" is aspirational.
  10. So today's decision to have the CC consider MFP's dissolution couldn't have come at a worse time for him. And problems with his aircraft, so he had to fly commercial.
  11. Why would "they" "paint the house" now, after he's been a whistle-blower for seven-plus years? Maybe he left a note? Maybe the firearm was registered to him? Maybe he was depressed? Staging a suicide in a parked truck seems daunting.
  12. Might be more effective to limit the sales of ice. Only the hardcore like piping hot beer and Sangsom.
  13. The goals are inexpensive and fast. Taste can be adjusted with extra condiments. There are many levels of street food quality, so there are some good options at the higher end of that scale. These probably start with quality ingredients, cooked to order, with a balanced flavor profile that does not distract from the ingredients.
  14. That's quite a lot of money. Almost like "they" want him out of the country while "they" run it. I wonder if this includes airfare (on RTAF or TG)?
  15. On the plus side, the General didn't ask the lad to wear his wife's underwear, as far as we know.
  16. Consider yourself "rounded up"? (Capt. Renault style.)
  17. Hmmm? Maybe just reassign all the conscripted house-boys from the General's homes to active duty? So much for Military reforms, and the end of conscription.
  18. I say let them all go...maybe they'll do something about PM2.5? "Mobile Parliament"?
  19. If they added flights, then there would be more seats in the lower fare buckets. Or they moved seats from higher fare buckets to lower fare buckets. They have limited options to add flights given constraints on aircraft and crew (who also want Songkhran off). The CAAT-set caps for most of these sectors were NEVER exceeded, so this "response" is meant to make it look like CAAT is doing something. But it's really just a poke in the eye.
  20. Take/post a photo of the bottom of the unit. Seems like it's a frequency issue but I would think it supports 1800 and/or 2100 since it worked with DTAC in Thailand. Could be an APN issue? Could also be an IMEI (on the 4G no-name router) check/denial by the network. Maybe have a search/read on the ee community forum? https://community.ee.co.uk/
  21. Show a copy of the ThaiPost receipt. Show a copy of your "old" passport. Still overthinking. That said, I've received ~ 70-ish EMS envelopes/packages, and never once asked for an ID.
  22. Copies? Show passport then seal envelope? You're overthinking here.
  23. No, AFAIK, it is still alive. The frigate is supposed to be a bait/switch for the sub but I don't think the Chinese want to play that game.
  24. It comes via EMS (Thai Post), you paid 100 baht for that service, so in theory, if you're not at home, they should leave a notice and you go to the local PO to pick it up. However, if you know your local EMS driver they may leave it with a neighbor if that's done in your neighborhood. I always have to sign for an EMS delivery, finger on a mobile app.
  25. The provider may not offer/allow "tethering" on your current plan? Maybe try it in your phone first, to see if you can create and share personal WiFi Hotpot. I'd contact them.
