Then why do the signs just erected on Sukumvit South at Ban Amphur only shows Bangkok as the destination for 7 and nothing about U-Tapao, Ban Chang or Rayong ?

Because the road's not finished and open yet?

The sign from 7's new junction to Utapao/Ban Chang is also covered up, only the right lane to Pattaya/Bangkok is shown

The husbands of your wife’s พี่สาว are not your พี่เขย because they have not married one of your relatives.
These are definitions, names are far more likely to be used in the family.

Anyone know the Thai slang term for 'squirting'? I seem to remember that an equivalent of 'explode water' is sometimes used but I've no idea of the phrase itself, plus I may be remembering it wrong anyway.

Edit: By 'squirting' I'm referring to that of a sexual nature where a women ejects liquid, of a much debated composition, from her vagina during stimulation.

น้ำแตก Naam Taek lit: water broke is already used for the male ejaculation, can't see why it can't apply for the female one as well

  5. Managed to take in only a couple of floors since the crowds were too thick, amongst the jam packed restaurants and food stalls with lengthy queues, Hawker Chan was very empty, and it was very scaled down compared to Royal Garden already.

If you hate noise and crowds, stay away for a couple of weekends, most place are running promotions with Thai yelling into microphones to draw crowds, and there's concerts in the middle

Quite funny when I found a rustic french village looking building in Na Jomtien serving Som Tum and Issan Cuisine (granted they have a european food in a separate building).

The place is called A la Campagne or Som Tum Villa It's on the Southbound Sukhumvit just before Huay Yai/Prosecutor's Junction. Looks like one of those many Thai tourist trap fake european thing, but the food is decent and has some unique takes on things. The european wing has nice tea and cakes selection (a bit high on price) in nice garden setting.

Another confirmed opening for Terminal 21 Pattaya

    Tongkatsu Kazan Ramen

A chain ramen restaurant from Osaka with signature dish of 'Volcano Ramen' gimick where the soup is pouted into the hot noodle dish making it steam

    0005BQ0061B836E3CD5A45j.jpg

This franchise is operated by the same company that licences Hawker Chan and Tim Ho Wan franchise, I had learned that they had 2 locations within T21 Pattaya, at first I had speculated that they'd bring Tim Ho Wan since they'd just closed their Korat location, but now that it's Hawker Chan moving there from Royal Garden and this new Ramen Place meaning that Tim Ho Wan is probably not coming at this time.

Was in Bangkok for a couple of days so I dropped in to this place that's opening in Terminal21 Pattaya

Apart from the gimmick of steaming soups on hot stone bowl and steaming chimney, everything else was so so, the soup was average, the soba noodles, despite being made on premise taste not that different from store bought ones. Ingredients of cabbage and beans sprout was very Thai in presentation and cheapens the dish. I was excited before but I'd give this chain a miss. There's plenty of genuine independent Japanese restaurant and ramen place to be had around (Maybe not in Pattaya).

    For Japanese at Terminal21 Pattaya

Shakariki is probably the best bet so far, they're expanding into proper chain territory now but still retain character and charms of independently run restaurants

  8. Went to Tesco yesterday and noticed that they took out the U-Turn before Petchtrakul (the road coming out the back of Central Marina, so now traffic on North Rd. coming and going to 3 Places, being Central Marina, Tesco and Terminal21 is bunched up into that little intersection.

I can see on heavy days that intersection might need to be closed and force every one to turn and use the dolphin roundabout instead.

How long I've been here or how old/young I am has no bearing on the fact,

    Do you stand by that

'Joke' is a *Brand* of porridge?

And 'Big Jew' in Thai means big glasses?

  10. Matichon Weekly, in bounded newsprint is pretty good with current affairs, comes out every weekend. There's a few similar format from Manager and other more right leaning papers. There's lots of long form reading and opinion pieces. A lot of newer online only publication gets shared on Facebook a lot like The Matter or the 101 is for younger audience has some good modern writing style

The white 'business' newspaper like Prachachart Dhurakit is good for facts also, not so much for social issues.

Wow, you managed to collect so many misinformation

โจ๊ก is chinese rice porridge not a brand

บิ๊ก gets put in front of nicknames of people in armed forces who'd made it big, including the police

บิ๊กจิ๋ว for Chavalit.. จิ๋ว actually means little, small nothing todo with glass, drinking or spectacle
