I had a friend visit, and they were wondering why it wasn't brown? Like with a few skid marks.

Little emperors...Glad they are not bigger than us. -
I had always wanted to visit Russia until I met and kind of got to know them in Bali. Was very interested in their culture etc, art, dance, etc. Then after about a year, I realized they were mostly (97%) communist users, and when I stopped buying things for them or giving them free advice they were gone. If they didn't get it free and had to pay, they were the tightest bustards on earth. Never a thank you, an acknowledgement or a pleasant nod on a morning walk. Animals. They smoked in all the restaurants and put their feet on the table, took cuts, never tipped, cheated, lied, stole like crazy the women add in the Ukrainians even from the little stores, and drove like <deleted>. Horrible neighbors, noisy without any respect for the people around them. Expect 5 star service for a 2 star room. They treated the Balinese like dirt, which especially rubbed me wrong, hence I came back to Thailand and one of my first priorities was living where I did not see one of them.

Its kind of luck, the whole process. You never really know till later on. Construction quality, who owns what next door, zoning if any at all. A new disco arrives, the neighbors are not kind etc etc. Its hard enough back where we come from, but it can get real ugly here as we have very little recourse. Have done it twice, once barely got out with an end result being the same cost if I had rented it. The other time was in Malaysia, but that is solid British Law. I would not do it again here.

Kiwi brothers deny all charges, their parents speak out - March 19

Unfortunately there is little straight up justice here. Even if they only were saving their own lives, the small news clips are in the cops favor. Strange thing, I've never heard a Thai person say how wonderful the police here are. Mind you, I find them very reasonable to deal with -
Sad stuff to read. Hope its not true.

A Thai man exposed his father for stealing electricity to run an ice manufacturing plant in Nonthaburi province near Bangkok. He also accused officers from the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) of conspiring with his father. The 39 year old man, identified only as L, revealed to Channel 3 that he is his father’s eldest son and used to be a manager of the ice factory. He decided to quit his family business in May last year after learning that his father stole electricity from the government. L explained that he asked his father to end the theft but he denied stealing the electricity. He then searched for evidence until finding that the factory paid about 400,000 baht for electricity in the past but now only pays 200,000 baht. After leaving both the company and the family, L requested his father to remove his name from the management board. He did so because he wished to avoid further charges and imprisonment stemming from his involvement in the electricity theft.

Dihui denied the allegation, saying he had no idea about the money withdrawal and never tried to rape her. Dihui said Darinrat looked nothing like her profile picture on the dating app. He did not like her and did not want to have sex with her.

Whoa, so neither looked like the photo on the dating app? How unusual.

I'm with you on this one. As always, knee jerk reactions to short videos and very short statements.
