How many people would you guess were influenced by Vollmers beliefs at that time . 18 years. and now....... can one even find the interviews and articles and promotions regarding her view on that diet ? Shouldn't that be available ? All i found was , basically, an attempt (rather successful) , to scrub away that part of her history. Not that dissimalar to what we accuse those responsible in recent events of doing : I was truly surprised that even Alter displayed a bias when asked about Vollmer's past beliefs and supporting documentation : the usual "softening tactics and words were used : "likely, occasionally, however , her focus ............" She likely offered recipes, detox protocols, and advice grounded in vegan or raw food frameworks. She occasionally referenced veganism as a path of purification or healing. However, her focus was more on detox and vitality, not animal rights or ideology. Just a very brief and "simple" rumak explanation : These "experts" have been studying and examining the body's complex system for twenty, thirty years. Findings and "remedies" come and go , and besides that Naturapathic practioners are as diverse as any other group in their "findings, methods, and choice of protocols" . One obvious example is where Ivermectin was and still is touted as a life saver by some , Dr. Vollmer says ...no, no . It's lies. ( my view is ... who knows? If i had serious health issues i am sure i would try it ) . BUT..... i never took it prophylactically ! my gut , trusted my "terrain " 😊 Every time one says " read and use your own judgement , don't follow just one cult . ( some are nice to add ...."even what i say" ) ... well, i agree. After 60 or more years of living.... nothing is a quick fix . Knowledge of how the health systems work and importantly how they can break down with age are IMO paramount when trying to make informed decisions. I believe that sometimes stop gap measures are necessary , to temporarily ease cases where extreme stress exists . Dr. Vollmer did appear to acknowledge that as well . (par. 15 ) As for the thousand and one supplements and mushrooms and tree barks out there ............ I take one or two .
