  1. "The Far Right" "utterly horrific" You left because of this 3 years ago, were you fearful of ethnic cleansing? probably shrinking in fear of climate change....... ( he could see it coming)
  2. i know what you mean. I have felt that way since I was 10 years old ........
  3. pssst : humor is not encouraged on this forum ....... especially my favorite ; sarcasm
  4. Well, i find myself agreeing with you... on this one. 🙂 . The number of variables in peoples lives makes black and white judgements of others silly. Surely mature and experienced people should know that. (will pointing that out have a beneficial outcome on AN posters ? ) HA... HA . I expect not, but eagerly await the confused emoji or two coming from the peanut gallery. Anyway, (seriously) ... the causes and intentions of the catastrophic inflation within the monetary system , with the medical field being the highest and most life destroying of all..... is a huge topic that would fill pages and pages of debate. Whether a proponent of buying "insurance" ( the terms are certainly not insured for future years, are they ? ) , OR deciding (by choice or necessity) to go it on ones own ...... we can make those decisions , BUT we , in reality, can never foresee what the future costs will be to cover our butts.
  5. well, i am in Chiangmai . And the world would be a lot better off if it listened to things emanating from around here. 😆
  6. yes. and why do some expats (i'm speaking in general) speculate on things they have no idea about? As your agent says above , "they've just reduced the requirement from 3 mill to 400k, why would they expand it".
  7. You can take the westerner out of their first world country.... but you can not take their conditioning away. Very small percentage manage to live here , not necessarily "going native" , but just learning, adapting, and enjoying Thailand for what it is. Not what they want it to be ( so odd that they often don't like where they left.... but then compare things here to things there . baffling ) do to conditioning i doubt they will be heading to govt hospitals . Heck, most can hardly ask directions to the bathroom. Nope: gotta be BKK Hospital or Ram , little cute nurses smiling and speaking english.
  8. and................ what was the limit on his policy ? and... we don't know how much was covered ( exclusions, etc ) the thing about "insurance" is ..... the actual risk/reward of getting it doesn't work out for many . Of course, if you have lots of money or have worked for lots of years for a major company (not what i did, nor wanted to ) or govt. (also not my thing) , then insurance is ok. ( remember ... "good" policies cost a LOT ) "normal" people spend ever increasing premiums , always with the very real RISK that when MOST healthy people ( gotta stay healthy folks.... not what i observe , and is confirmed by the staggering obesity rates , especially in western societies) .... well, when the issues start popping up after 20 years of paying for "insurance" .... then they're excluded from coverage HAHA. Nah.... i don't like those conditions. Get healthy. Save your money starting in your 40's . Worked for me . No major problems. No exclusions. No stress being told no, then waiting on hold for someone to tell you ..... errr, you need to ......................."
  9. "Do you have video of opening the package, Sir " ? "If not ...... you break it, you bought it "
  10. Hello members: 3 Seven eleven hotdogs to those who can name the alter EGO who is posting these 3 or 4 word banal trolls .... with the telltale emoji we were all onto him , so now a new username . lonely and sad
  11. having a degree in animal husbandry will greatly enhance your chances of finding a really special woman ......
  12. Let the betting begin ::::: How long will it take before he's crying in his cheap beer ? a. 2 months b. 2 years c. 2 houses d. 2000 posts on Asien now
  13. sure ! order one from Lazada as they have a money back guarantee !
  14. TBL ! c'mon , even sexy Rumak knows when its time to up the "age parameters" , and allow a bit for the fact that I no longer look like brad pitt. Hmmmm. Actually, i haven't seen him lately ( without his make up) ... maybe i look better haha Under 30 and decent looks just ain't happening for us anymore ( unless you want to lose the rest of your fortune ) . I know, no fortune except bad fortune . I was 60 something and went scavaging for the over 40's . Now, we ain't perfect... and they ain't gonna be either . I just kept trying, like opening mangosteens .All looked good on the outside .... but ... Lots of rotten ones, some only half rotten...... and a few worth taking a bite out of . If i were you..... i would get in a rubber raft or whatever and get my butt to Thailand .
  15. haha i like that . My friends always got a kick out of my standing "joke" ...... when discussing my latest gf . When talking about whether there would be future problems, i would always remind them that i have a prebought bus ticket for the girl hanging on the wall . She was free to go at any time . The only time i got mad at myself was when i let it go on too long .
  16. that's good. have her try coconut oil , be sure its really 100% (no other additives) . mrs rumak likes it better, but olive oil also good
  17. as a "generality" .......... one can change "visas" to one of many reasons (not being love) , and the same sentence applies . to be fair: men also have similar (but different) motives and modus operandi to get what they want from women the saying "all you need is love" .......... does sell a lot of records though
  18. i agree with ya there. Though i do hear some of these "girls" acting a bit disrespectful at time . Its amazing how the nice smiling face from the romance can become bored and unappreciative. human nature .......
  19. well, sometimes they end up with "nice girls" .......... and follow them around like little puppies
  20. that's the best you can do ? give us your particulars. Mine have all been stated . your age and policy ? what would cost "10 million " baht here in Thailand ? how many exclusions do you have ?
  21. just to make your assertions more palatable....... please post for us to see : your current age , insurance plan you now have ( don't forget the deductables and what is not covered) , and the cost for such "product" . then I and others can decide if that works for us. MY gamble worked just fine for ME . Others will all have different scenarios . High coverage COSTS a lot . And still , the exclusions and fine print and well=documented dishonesty of the insurance industry is easy to find even on mainstreet searches such as google. If i were to need ANY procedure or care costing more than even 5 million baht I would choose to just die . Show me the cost of "insurance" for coverage of someone over 60 which pays up to 5 million baht . And what procedure here in Thailand even comes close to that at a reasonably priced hospital . Long term care is included in your policy ? The biggest gamble people of all ages take is what they eat, what drugs they take which IMO cause more harm than curing themselves naturally ( i and a small percentage of others are proof that it can be done in MANY cases ) . At 70+ the only drug i take is an eye drop . My "gamble" was backed by playing the odds . I kept myself healthy ! If one has not done that...... the catch 22 is that their health issues will be Excluded from coverage . hahaha . Not much worth to that, is there ?
  22. your comment that these drugs are not candy is a good one . all have potential side effects...... with "floxins" (often given for prostate issues) being among the black box group . NOTE: Moxifloxacin is a prescription drug used to treat bacterial infections. It belongs to a class of drugs called fluoroquinolones and can cause serious side effects, such as tendon rupture, peripheral neuropathy...........
