Beware of buying in Northern Cyprus. I dabbled a few years ago but decided against it. Land and houses may be actually owned by Greek Cypriots who fled south in 1974 after the Turkish invasion. Thinks might have changed since then. I settled in Southern Italy. ( Basilicata). Houses and land are still good value. Large beer €2? Pizza €6.
