  1. Yes perfect homes are quite good.
From my experience of them last year there was a number of deductions from the deposit which they landed on me at checkout that were not specifically mentioned at check-in.
The big ones were somthing in the region of 600+ baht for cleaning the air-conditioning units. But there was no way these units had been cleaned for a couple of years before that, I personally cleaned the filters of the thick layer of dust it had collected a few days after check-in.
They also added laundry of the duvet (@ double the price I paid at my local laundry a few days prior to check out).

    Otherwise they were OK.

  2. I've probably got the name wrong.
There are 2 a few doors apart the one on the right as you look at them is my preferred but the one on the left is more than adequate.

Depends on your location of its worth the trip.62cad8e828560039148880ff466fd6b6.jpg

  4. Barstool B.S.

I see lots and loads of Thais being stopped and fined.

Yes they do. Especially for no helmet. But they very rarely allow a tourist to pass without being stopped.

  5. Wouldn't it have just been cheaper/easier to get a proper Thai motorcycle driving license?

Back in your home country you're not going to be able to drive around on a cheap, low-powered motorscooter without a helmet to run your errands.
I got a license but they still stop farangs cos more likely to generate a ticket.

At a regular stop towards my condo they started to recognise me & let me pass as they knew I had all the paperwork.

  6. Any license with English writing that shows they are eligible to ride the bike they are on, is acceptable.
So they are being fined for driving without a license.

There was a big thread on this last year, cos I got busted, as I only had a provisional UK bike licence.

Unfortunately the shops are not held responsible so they tend not to turn business down.

Plus the ticket I got was only valid for 24hrs not a week.

  7. You can buy bus tickets here online. https://12go.asia/en
You can buy a one way ticket to a nearby country from any airport. Low cost airlines will refund the taxes paid on a ticket if you cancel it early enough.
In not aware of any that will refund. Or more precisely if they do they bury that info & how to, in the depths of Hades.

Can you give a hint or link?
    Thanks in advance

  8. Greetings!

I'll be visiting chiang mai for the first time alone from 18 Sep to 21 sep, afterwhich to bangkok. I'm really dying to get a sak yant tattoo/tour but not sure which tour group to engage. Love visiting coffee and bars too. Let me know if you don't mind hanging around and meeting me.

    Cheers,
    Jennifer

  9. WeChat is the ultimate tool for government surveillance. It tracks where you go, who you're with, how you spend, who you talk to and what you say-- all in a single app that the Chinese government monitors. Sure, all these things can be tracked through other apps in other places like FB or Google Maps, but not as comprehensively or seamlessly.
Superb Chinese efficiency - it even lets you search for prospective love matches in the area. [emoji41] [emoji1]

  10. My plan is to get a SETV extend it to the full 90 days and then fly out to get a 2nd SETV for a total of 6 months in the Kingdom.

My first SETV will be from HCMC and I see good reports as long as you have all the paperwork - Not and issue apart form a ticket out.

I have looked at the onward ticket website and it seems renting a ticket is goign to be $18 for 48 hrs and I'm just not sure if I can get he visa application turned around in that time and fall into whatever additional late fee traps they have might.

I've also looked at the bus transport company which will sell a BKK to Seim Reap bus ticket for 750baht - no time limits - no refunds.

    Has anyone used these methods?

Has anyone got a SETV from HCMC without a outbound ticket? (the application form doesn't have space for the details)

Has anyone used a different method of getting a temporary cheap ticket?

    Thanks
