  1. I really have no idea why we are so impatient. Believe me I wanted this to go through ASAP, but I realise there are 2 sides, and one of them needs to replace a player. A bit of patience really is OK to have.

Now... a left back and a centre back please. I see a lot of talk about the VVD deal not being dead yet, but I hope the club have another option ready to buy instead. Tall, aggressive, good organiser, injury free, and able to contribute a few goals. Should be easy really lol.

I have no idea who would be a good left back. Any ideas?

  2. I completely forgot about the Europa cup....how is that possible ...lol. Though I remember it being important in the past, I can't remember why.

As you can see I very easily swayed by whether we are in a competition or not  55555

  3. Well if they give 100 million olus the outings, then that would be huge. The trouble is, what will they put on top of the players they sell? There is also Champions Leagu money I suppose; though we have no idea how far or how much we will get

  4. I have been thinking about transfer (yes I know).

If by a miracle VVD was on again that would be 70 million

    Salah  50 million

    Kieta 50 plus

That is 170 million. How are we going to afford a Left back (which we so obviously need) and an all ot striker (which I think we obviously need lol)?

How much do you believe we can spend (rational please), and where do we cut corners?

I will assumeVVD is off, but a similar quality would cost 50 million anyway

I feel for Southampton who showed their faith by awarding him a six year contract.

Liverpool are grovelling simply to avoid transfer sanctions. Disgusting behaviour really.

I have to agree about the grovalling and transfer ban. Which shows us just how stupid this apprach was. That is assuming they actually did breach regulations and are not just worried about the investigation

^Allegedly VVD met JK in Blackpool before any contact was made with his club. Soton were pissed off due to the Oil Barons losing interest once news of VVD's preference was 'leaked', therefore stopping a bidding war before it could begin, and threw their toys out of the pram! Even though 'Tapping' is known to be done by every club (including Soton see below!)we appear to have crossed a line here. As Carragher has said, the idiot who leaked details to the press is the one who should be apologising!

Soton, a club who would appear to want their cake and eat it! :passifier:

#FreeVanDijk Celtic the gimps considering legal action against us. #SaintsFC

Cheers mate. This is all too much. Why can;'t we just be above board? if JK did have a part in this he too should apologise and needs to behave properly. He is the manager and should not be overstepping boundaries. I know others do it, but why risk any of this crap?

What a joke, made to look like complete amateurs AGAIN. Add another one to the list.

    They're never going to learn.

I am gutted at the way we have been to look like mugs again in the transfer market. What the f*#k are we doing ? This looked like such a done deal, and to now find out there actually was something going on behind the scenes is ludicrous. What is this speculation about an approach in Blackpool? Nightmare. I really wanted the guy

Are you calling from a mobile phone? Fixed line? What network are you on? What number are you calling? (1331? 02 900 900?)

Most mobile providers charge a single fixed fee, like 3 baht per call, for calls to their own call centers. Some do the same for calls to any 4-digit call center number. Calls to 02 numbers may be billed per minute.

I think you are right and I should have given more details. My misses usually sorts this out but she is not here. She calls from a true sim and uses adirect number (not the 1242). However, I am rining from an AIS phone and I am having a nightmare getting through. Every number I call tells me my number cannot be varified and to use my true online number; which I have no idea of. There are several number on the router but I don't read Thai so i am unsure if one of those is it. I am also concerned that the cost is now going to be stupid as i am not contancting them on a true sim.

I ma not sure what you want to do. Not so long ago internet connection  2400 baud. And in most parts of the world there is no internet at all.

You can use use True Move H, DTAC, AIS or other mobile providers

We have the funny situation that mobile network is faster then then the cable or fiber networks due to the way the networks are made and the overbooking.

Dtac and True give us the best connection around Thailand.

128 / 384 kbps is fast enough for most applications.

Be aware for application like those of Facebook they are a bandwith eaters as well a data eater. Opera has even developed a free program for it to save your valuable data.

Unless you have no mobile data coverage by true, dtac or ais you actually have no problems

Mobile hotspot connection is definitely not stable enough or fast enough for me at the moment. Video is almost a picture because it freezes; and I need video for my work.

    Thanks any way

Live in very, very, extremely rural Sisaket and have been using TOT Winet for almost three years.  Get about 10 Kbs, but that works fine.  Any troubles and the service guys are on the  scene  quickly.  I forget what the installation charge was, but that's because it was too cheap to make me remember.  Did have to put up own tower for the tiny dish, but its construction was under 4k baht.  600 baht monthly.  Unlimited download.  Stream video no problem.  Use Skype frequently.  If nothing else more conveniently available, check it out.

Somebody already has it and they are not happy with it. I don't know about whether it is on a tower though (will that affect it badly), and I am concerned about it being useless in bad weather (rain, wind, etc). How has the weather affected reception? Also, are you sure about that 10Kbs figure?

  11. OK. Thanks all. i will send the misses to have a chat with the suppliers next week. Great idea about the cable circles by the way.

I have not heard of the Winet service before, but would that be Ok for Skype etc? I need a connection that handles that as I do video calls for work.

I am using the hotspot method at the moment, and that is definitely not good enough for my needs and is zero connection whenever it rains lol

  12. My wife's village in Sisaket has no internet, but I would like to get some there. The internet through our phones is not good enough for my needs, and I was wondering if anybody has tried to get this done before. I have no idea where the nearest  internet is supplied to, but I would imagine one of the schools around here must have some. We are based about20 km from Huay Thap  Than and out in the rice fields. Any ideas about procedure, cost of connection would be appreciated. In fact, any ideas

  13. I went to immigration with my wife and even though we insisted we wanted an extension because of marriage, they gave us an extensive list of requirements. These included things things I expected, but i didn't expect  photos of my sons and their birth certificates. Still... I feel more in control now; though I am not going to do the actual extension until May 1st.

Thanks for all your advise and comments

I would imagine the only reason there is confusion here is that Immigration are trying to extend based on working and not marriage, you need to make it very clear to them that you want to extend based on marriage and not working.

I believe they are telling them that, but it is the school doing this for me. Can I extend based on marriage even though I am working? What I mean is, once i am working can they insist on a B visa. I have had several WPs , but I have always left the country previously to get a new 1 year visa, and never extended at imigration

Who told you that you need a non-b visa?

You can apply for a one year extension of stay based upon marriage and use your income from working  to meet the 40k baht requirement. Or show 400k baht in a Thai bank for 2 months

The "new' head of immigration in Hua Hin told us that the last time I went. I meet the 40K requirement from my teaching job here
