One assumes the tank is full and so the float valve isn't open.
You need to draw out what you have, possibly dig out any underground pipes to ensure they go where you expect.
The float seems a problem. When the mains supply is on, the pump keeps running and the tank keeps filling up. Is it possible that the float in the tank is the problem? Do you mean to check all the floats in the toilets or elsewhere

If you close the pump outlet (the valve on the right of the pump photo) does the pump stop?
If not, you have a pump or pressure switch problem.
If the pump stops, time to follow wayned's advice as you seem to have a circular path somewhere.
By the way, the yellow thing under the pump itself is the pressure tank.
Yes. If I turn off the valve on the outlet, the pumpo stops. If it is a crcular path, how do I find out what is causing that? Is it something I can do, or will I need to get somebody in?

There should be a cutoff valve at the water meter near the street. Turn it off.
Turn off the valve on the input line to the tank.
This will isolate the water supply to the water that's in the tank only, and eliminate the check valve on the input line that I don't see in your pictures.
With all of the faucets off does the pump still run all of the time?
Once I stop the supply to the tank, the pump seems to work properly

I turned off the inlet to the main tank (from the water supply), and the pump seems to work properly like that. initially therer is pressure in the tap and then the pump turns on. It turns off again once i turn the faucet off.

Here are the speed tests the fast one is Bangkok the slow on Singapore
I find this unbelievable. I was getting faster speeds to start with. What should I do now? Should I use a n IP and DNS I input myself? If so any ideas which I should use? Could somebody let me know what they are using so I can test those and compare the speeds? Nightmare

So.... I decided to check the select IP and DNS automatically and restarted. I now have no IP or DNS showing in the internet settings, but here is a screenshot of my current DNS and IP

You guys are really great. It is dark now, but i will go through these checks tomorrow.
With the picture of the pump and the 2 shut offs, is the one on the left theinput to the pump and the one on the right the output?
I am kinda assuming that if that is the input, the water is going into a tank which is the pressurized tank.
Get back to you tomorrow

When I chose Obtain DNS server automatically the system doesn't let me leave it. as it says the adapter needs at least one ip address. Should I just reboot anyway? I am at home on True now, so can I inputt the IP addresses you gave and use them
-
I have attached some pictures on here, and I will try to get 2 vids I did too.,
The water supply from the mains is constant unless I physically hold up the float. I am getting water occassionaly if the pump is turned off.
The vids are way to big. I went around the system turning each tap off, and the only time the pump stopped was when I turned the inlet to it from the tank off

By the way. Those DNS were being used at home on True and in my office with TOT

The IP addresses you provided are assigned to locations in Manchester UNITED KINGDOM and Frankfurt Am Main Hesse GERMANY,
belonging to CyberGhostVPN.com.
The "Brussels' you saw is their name for one of their DNS Servers, and not an actual location.
So something has manually set your computer's DNS to use those servers. Suggest you go back to that IPv4 dialog and select "Obtain DNS server automatically", then restart your computer and see what DNS your computer reports being received (in the details dialog) when your routers DHCP service delivers it an IP, subnet, gateway connection info.
Unbelievable. I used to haVE CYBER GHOST INSTALLED but I uninstalled it before. I will let the compter select the DNS automatically and see how that goes

WebRTC is something usually added as a benefit to your Web Browser that allows HTML5, Java, or other plugins to communicate from behind firewalls. The downside is that this same WebRTC 'feature' can 'leak' or tattle your actual provider IP when using a VPN, allowing websites to determine your 'hidden' connection info. WebRTC has been discussed here on ThaiVisa in the past year and I'll refer you to search for those threads as this is not germain to your current topic.
So back on topic...
If you have no VPN enabled then your system should report that it is routing Internet requests via your True provided IP address, through the True provided Gateway, and using True provided DNS to resolve URL names to IP addresses -- unless you've manually changed your computers settings or used a utility to alter this.
If you're playing around with various VPN or other 'relocate me' services then the general defaults your computer uses may have been altered resulting in your now slow speeds.
I'd suggest you check any VPN software you're using and make sure the options are temporarily turned off, and then open your Internet Connection and verify that you are using True-provided DNS in the connection setup ...delivered either via DHCP from the
Router (along with IP, Subnet and Gateway info), or this info is being manually configured via managed software. So on a Windows machine look for Internet Connection, Status, Network Connection, Details ...IPv4 DNS Servers
TRUE DNS servers are generally:
Primary Domain Name Server 203.144.206.29
Secondary Domain Name Server 203.144.206.49Primary Domain Name Server 203.144.207.29
Secondary Domain Name Server 203.144.207.49Caveat:: Some TRUE users report they must also configure proxy.trueinternet.co.th (or proxy.asianet.co.th) using port 8080 to reach some web services, but doing this breaks VPN services. Hopefully you don't have to go this route.
I have checked the DNS and they are
194---187---251---67 and
185--- 93 --- 180---131
I have no VPNs running but this is miles away from True. It actually looks like Belgium
Really confusing

Thanks Richcor. I am in work now, but I will check my DNS when I get home. I assume all this will have to be checked from home as we use TOT in work (which is great)
Is there a way to turn the WebRTC off when I am using the VPN to atch UK TV (iplayer) or downloading torrents? I would be interested to know how I ended up with it.

I just ran the test again with Zenmate set to USA and my DNS now shows up with 6 DNS addresses (one from Germany). The I.P is USA
There is something titled
Your IP addresses - WebRTC detection
and that still shows a Thai IP.
I ran the DNS benchmark again with Zenmate set to USA and it still says this "System nameservers are SLOWER than 28 public alternatives!" I take it that the server is not effecting this so I need to alter the DNS manually on my desktop as I have no option on the router. Is that correct? If so, how do i know which DNS to choose? Should I just pick one off the list and how do I know which are being used now?
Apparently I am suffering DNS leaks, and that doesn't sopund very healthy BANG....it finally blew off. Pardon me while I pick up my brain 555

According to the check, there are 28 DNS names that run faster than the 2 on my system. The thing is my DNS is coming back as being in Manchester. I though that may be because I installed Hide me, but I can't even find that now. My head is going to explode lol

Do you have a large storage tank that the input side of the pump is connected to? That tank should fill up from the local water supply and the output of the tank should be connected to the input of the pump. If your pump is the accumulator type, the pump has a tank under it, the pump pumps water from your big input tank into th smaller tank on the pump which is pressurized. If you only get water when the pump is running then the tank is never pressurizing. If you have all of the outlets turned off and you unplug the pump, when you turn on a faucet you should still get pressurized water for a short period of time, if not the tank is not pressurizing. I have 3 Mitsubishi pumps, all accumulator type. The model number of the pump would help.
There's a good installation drawing on another thread, I think posted by Crossy, but I can't find it. Maybe he'll read this and post it again and I will copy and save it!
I am going to take some pictures of the pump and post them here, and compare the layout to crossy's drawing. It could be connected wrong as they couldn't get the shower to work until I pointed out the had the inlet and outlet of the water mixed up lol

Will a free VPN do it? I used to use Zenmate that seemed Ok until I couldn't use it for the UK. It would be OK for Singapore though. I could then switch back to Hoxx for the rugby.
Even if I do that, should I get true to come out and look at my system? There wasn't a computer in the house when they set it up

1. As said above you could have a defective check valve where the pump is continually running pumping water back through the check valve into the local supply pipe which then fills your tank and it is an endless loop.
2. A big leak somewhere!
3. A defective pressure cutoff switch.
4. A defective impeller on the pump which never pumps enough water to reach the cutoff pressure - I had this happen to one of my pumps.
5. A defective motor on the pump that doesn't run fast enough to create the pressure necessary to reach cutoff - one other member had this problem.
The pump is always doing something, even with all the faucets turned off, and the water stops when I unplug it. I will have a look at the manufacturer when i get home from work, cheers
It's a mitsubihi, but I need to find the type.
I noticed something earlier. When I turn the pump off it still sounds as though something is happening in the tank.
I am not sure about the water bill yet as I have just moved in. I am surprised that the tank never seems to fill up enough to allow water through to my taps without the pump (or very seldom anyway) Would all of the above causes mean i am constantly refilling the tank with water I do not use?

This is my speed test done today
The first one on here was done a few minutes after the speedtest.net one
My old house had the same package 30Mb (but no fiber to the box) and I could easily watch live TV from the UK.
Something I find strange is that if i download a torrent, it downloads at 4kb/s for ages then suddenly speeds up much later

...and/or get a cup of coffee and read one of the several *long* VPN threads here.
Readers Digest version: Using a VPN via Singapore can greatly speed up downloads from overseas. Most discussed in the threads are downloads from UK and USA.
I use a very basic VPN service (and only really use it for watching rugby) called Hoxx. I can route through singapore on that but it only allows me limited use so it would be useless long term. is it possible for me to manually change the DNS on the outer or should (can) I ask true to sort it out?

By "always working", do you mean that it is running all of the time even with all off the faucets in the house are turned off, or do you mean that it is cycling on and off with all of the faucets turned off?

I need something to say to the guy on the phone from True to convince him to do something about my internet. If I run a speed test it says 30Mb/s (ish), but sites and pages take ages to load. My wife has ais data plan that is much faster loading pages. They just keep telling me the speed is what the package states (via test), and that they are having issues with the international server. But my internet is crap no matter what server I connect to. How can I convice true customer support that my internet needs to be looked at?

The water pump at the house I have moved into is always working. I have read that it may be some thing called the bladder tank causing the problem. Does anyone know how I can check this, have any other ideas about why it is always working ?

if they are available in thailand you'll find them at either the chula bookshop or one of the DK today branches - very helpful staff so you could call them.
OK, Thanks.
If anyone does have experience, I am not worried about ordering them from outside Thailand. I have time.

How do I know where the non-return valves are? Perhaps i need to get a guy in to look at it. I am in Hua Hin, anybody know somebody around here who could take a look?
