All of the process can be made a lot easier (i.e. green card documentation through an agency, not over costly) the ITIN for filing as a couple is very easy, just fill in the form, copy of p/p and marriage certificate if I recall properly. The actual getting married was fairly simple, My first wife had died of breast cancer so I needed to provide to the Embassy the death certificate and then had a free to marry paper and went to the district office and they filed our marriage. The necessary documentation can be found from earlier replies from some other people. I retired here over 20 years ago and still feel that it is paradise. Great food, good people who accept foreigners as neighbors. Cost of living here is much cheaper than many other countries. No snow, no cold weather and only storms are those during the hot season. I mentioned b4, I married a Thai, if your are filing US taxes as a joint couple then she needs to apply for a ITN as mentioned above, as for the green card as she wants to immigrate to the US I guess and live there, then you should in my opinion (as I did) get a local agent who can gather all the paperwork and forward it to the US immigration folks who will deciide if she merits that green card. depending on waiting list it can sometimes take a long time.

She had to file for an ITIN (tax number) to enable you to file jointly i through the IRS. To get a green card, you will be required to do a lot of copying of her documents from Thailand and then process that through US immigration services. When we filed that (using an agency as it comes out as a book) Afghanistan had just fallen and the Immigration folks had over a 500K backlog of people filing, while they could only process around 35K per month so took over a year for us to receive approval for my wife to immigrate into the US by which time the desire to do such a move was gone!

as for your final question, IMHO those victims that have already told their stories as well as others now coming out - the problem is finding all those FBI questionings as many may already have been fired from the force but maybe they will have a grudge and can recall who they did interview. All of the victims deserve some kind of closure on those issues IMHO.

BTW, the Congressional committee currently reviewing the remaining files, have specifically mentioned in today's news update that they are looking at previous administrations for coverup of the files too as well as the current administration!

yes without any doubt IMHO. I also believe as I mentioned earlier, an investigation should be taken by the Congress about covering up of the Epstein files both by previous administrations and this administration. The FBI supposedly took depositions from many victims that now seem to be "lost" or blacked out totally and ALL names of potential perpetrators should be revealed. That is my opinion and also that there is and has been some kind of coverup in the activities and persons involved with Epstein. There does appear to be at least half the files still being held by the DOJ that are not clear and release to the public containing names of the rich and powerful IAW files seen by the Congressional committee (both DEMS and REPS) statements after viewing some of the clean files.

Not only was Epstein and co. guilty of rape of minors but also of sexual trafficking of those minors for the "pleasure" of rich and powerful people. IMHO an investigation too of the Biden administration should take place and anyone suspected of covering up anything in the Epstein files should be checked thoroughly and hung up to dry if found guilty until they have spent many years in prison. I realize the current statue of limitations has passed so will have to wait until an extension is agreed upon by the congress so that those victims can get deserved justice and the rich and powerful criminals brought to justice along with any officials involved in aa cover up of the charges. Something as big as this has to have many people aware of the covering up as it is so wide that one person could not go through all the evidence IMHO since there are millions of pages, pictures, et al and they probably continue to learn of other Epstein houses like that ranch in N. Mexico and with some emails suggesting possible "get rid of victims" have current N. Mexico officials digging up the property and their state officials have already amended the statue of limitations for this type of crime so anything evidence of that activity in N. Mexico could still be brought to trial even if the current feds won't agree to fix that problem. All the perps should rot in jail forever IMHO.

Too many besides DJT, and not all are Republican supporters so there are some senior folks within the Biden administration that should be indicted also IMHO.

If they knowingly removed sensitive material even if under the orders of a boss or the boss of bosses, it is still a crime and they if with a valuable lawyer could maybe avoid being charged if provided proof that they were ordered by a higher authority. Just like the 6 folks indicted by the DOJ as ordered by Trump for telling soldiers and govt workers that they did not have to follow "illegal" orders as the court cleared those 6 of any wrongdoings as that is what is clear in the constituition.

Even if she did state that but if it is true and she was a minor (below 18 years of age) then it would still be a crime. supposedly from the congressional hearings, there are at least 17 women now who were raped/sexually trafficked with Trump when they were 13 to 15 years old. There were depositions made with the FBI stating all the facts of those assaults yet when the files were released, not one of these was there. When the committee went to the DOJ and reviewed some unredacted files, they came across some and queried where are all those others that the victims claimed to have made with the FBI. This has been reported by the congressional folks that have been looking at the unredacted files. The victims continue to voice their experiences and since there are hundreds of them, I fail to understand how the DOJ and Trump can continue to say that these stories are "unsubstantiated" IMHO anyway, as I do believe all of their stories. I heard from a friend in New Mexico that there is a tremendous amount of digging around the Epstein ranch looking for something buried. I still wonder whether we the public will ever know the whole story. as there are just too many super rich and powerful people supposedly involved IMHO anyway .

I was lucky, when i married a Thai lady, but opted to use the embassy letter (early 2000's) to do my retirement visa in BKK and did my rides to Poipet and the casino for lunch and back to BKK. Then the embassy dropped the letter and I did monthly income with no real problems either and by then i was living and doing yearly extension of stay in CM and never had any problem there either. But when the LTR dropped from 100K to 50K, no 90-day reports and no income taxes on foreign income, immediately went for that and. I think that is the best visa for me and my finances though with the DTA with US, I would be exempt anyway but the less of having to go to immigration with possible changes I still love the LTR and love living here in CM. The winter weather this year in the US makes me smile even more so that I live here. I can put up with the pollution here but hate the old and snowy/ice weather there.

and, during the present judicial committee hearings in the House of Representatives and interview with Bondi, there were 10 or so "victims" seated near Bondi and they were asked if they had tried to contact the DOJ to provide testimony but that the DOJ refused to listen to them. Will we ever see ALL of the available files - IMHO no as those rich and powerful still control too much of the government.

I personnally feel that teachers should be graded yearly based on the test results of the students and that parents should bear some responsibility to make the kid make an effort to learn the subject matter. that is my opinion anyway. My daughters, generations separating them both excelled at learning and talked about how much they really enjoyed learning. My wife and I never had to force them to study, as the international school teachers were great at motivating the students.

Well, I speak and understand English, at least the American version and from what I understand, whether the importer has to cover the costs of the tariffs in order to make their profits to continue, then YES, the consumer has to pay for that tariff. That is my opinion anyway.
