researchers now recommend 2-3 cups coffee daily for longer life - no milk and sugar. (number one researcher now Dr. William Li - harvard heart specialist and researcher)

Just google "world chart on obese citizens" and you will see that food can be a killer for sure. Reasearchers now report the major premature killers of mankind are caused by BAD diets BUT by changing one's diet to a much healthier one and a little exercise, those killers can be silenced longer hopefully before one's health is totally shot. Being healthy in old age can be great if that is what one wants to achieve. Have a good one.

fasting has also hit new highs recently. experts says it works as that is how early humans lived, not having plenty of foods available all the time. a lot of articles on fasting benefits. Just saying....I fast daily from 11AM until 6 AM the following day, eating between 6 and 11 only no snacking but do drink water or green tea. I don't lose any weight but feel great and never feel hungry and have done this for the past 2 months.

VP Kamala Harris Had 92-Percent Staff Turnover
Presnock replied to KhunLA's topic in Political Soapbox
If her office got those funds requested by the President then where did the rest go? -
Yes the European diet is one of the best for health. Some orientals are also healthy eaters and thus live a healthier and longer life. Dr William Li has proven that in the laboratory too and wrote books on it!
-
Including selling OUR missiles to the Taliban illegally and covered up. Read about Benghazi and why the Americans had to die. Hillary! Hillary!
-
Need to be careful and cognizant of what one eats otherwise like the number of Americans considered OBESE - 42% with 9 percent as ultra obese! However, doctors, hospitals and big pharma love the fast food and artificial flavors and taste in foods today! take care be safe and healthy!

FYI on dieting for health reasons - suggest you read Dr. WIlliam Li's book(s) on dieting for the prevention of disease and even curing some of the diseases that kill people before their time. He is a Harvard doctor and researcher. He provides different fruits, veggies, grains, seeds etc that fight ALL the diseases and luckily most are readily available in Thailand - at least in BKK or through online Villamarket. cutting out meats is no problem but you might consider seafood as a replacement . Best of luck to you on the diets. I exercise approx 2 hours daily and eat very little meats but always have plenty of energy at 77 years of age.

well, let me start with Jane - if she were on fire I still wouldn't piss on her to put the fire out. I don't like traitors or those who give support to our enemies whether or not one supports the VN war or not. As for KH I read a lot about her prior to the previous election. She could obviuosly work on Soi Cowboy with her talents. I read one of her comments about learning how to care for her "children" (step children) when she married they were already in HS or College so she has no experience of raising children as she claimed in that article I read. As for her sponsorship through the ranks I have read those stories but they may or may not be true in all sense of that career. Now running against the convicted felon, is she the better candidate? the most knowledgeable about politics? more honest - I give her the yes. Will the country suffer more under her or Trump? based on what Trump has promised re taxes, govt workers, and those he doesn't like, and the revenge he says he will carry out - I sure don't see that as positive for the American public. He wants to drop the taxes even further for the rich and their businesses while the middle class has just about disappeared. Used to be, working folks could buy a home, nowadays more and more can't even afford their current house anymore. A scary situation for many. News stories talk about how many citizens are fleeing the taxing states for those states with no state tax or lower taxes and property taxes. But, no matter what now that Joe is out, it should be a more interesting election period. This is my opinion only based on what I have read over the past 5 years or so and as for Joe/Trump, have not read a lot of positives over the decades I have read about them. Good luck to all and hope you pick a good one.

Yeah, Hillary thought the ame thing in 2016 but too many Democrats voted for Trump so she lost where she needed to win...Should be a bit more interesting anyway though I still do not believe that either of them are qualified mentally to be president of the US. But then again, that is only my opinion and I don't count. Have a good one!

Drunk driver kills 13 year old girl buying food for ill mother
Presnock replied to snoop1130's topic in Central Thailand News
Even in some developed countries i.e. Italy, one can be held responsible for the family of one killed by a drunk driver. Not sure how many other countries have a similar law or not. As for Italy, I know this was the case many years ago as a co-worker hit a guy that was crossing a road at night in a rainstorm. Lawyers eventually got the co-worker out of that but he still had to pay quite a large sum of money. -
Expats angry at huge concessions in latest Thai visa announcements

Yeah, based on what my friends back in the USA are discussing about spending, is much closer to home now a days especially with this election which no one thinks will improve the economic outlook no matter who wins. Many folks are just planning on moving to a cheaper area as the housing in too many places is just too expensive - I saw a youtube bit on that very subject too. In many of the larger cities, houses are costing a minimum of 1 million USD. Not a lot of middle income folks could ever afford that and they mention that the middle class is just about gone today. I think until the world economy gets back on track (if ever) not too many westerners will waste their time or money on Thailand. My opinion only of course. -

Suggest then that you read the Thai govt revenue dept about being a tax resident in Thailand - having to pay tax on any assessable remittances or monies earned in Thailand. -
So, please advise the freedom of this visa - for example, can a person on retirement (any type) stop keeping 800,000 or a married guy (400,000) no longerr need to have that money in the bank and just go out of the country and walk back in on a 60-day every 2 months? no more 90-day reports or tm.30's? sounds weird to me. I have been here a loooooooooong time and just wondering.

According to some that got/get free golf green fees, and if one play a lot of golf (some courses have lights and open at night too and I once a member of such a course played 3 rounds many days and at least two rounds every day) then it might not be such a bad visa. If one can afford that visa, then why should anyone else complain? That person is not making anyone get a particular visa which is the choice of every person based on qualifications and meeting all the requirements of a particular visa. I have previously been on a retirement O for 20 years, accepted the reporting requirements, yearly extenions of same and finally realized that the LTR fit me much better so switched. That is the option of each of us and if taxation continues to evolve depending on the government, we also have the option of leaving or accepting whatever comes down be it permanent or temportary. Good luck to all and hope all get what they deserve uh earn. -

Yeah, thos that get the DTA nowadays (since it came out after June 27) can remit money/spend money earned without a problem (unless of course they were here prior to 27 JUne and depending on how many days) since unless they are spending more than 180 days during THIS calendar year, are not tax residents of Thailand. However, depending on all the dust settling, unless some new guidance is provided on the DTA, once any of the holders stay over 180 days in one calendar year then they will be Thai tax residents and will not be tax exempt on earnings. Good luck to all. enjoy it while you can. -
Thai PM Launches Project to Transform Thailand into Financial Hub
Presnock replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
well when I was in Angola the poorest people had "money to burn" literally. I jogged daily and would see local paper money along all the sidewalks, some with scorch marks some like new bills...upon asking the locals why, they woudld answer to cook food or warmth when it is cold as it has no monetary value. Ah, yeah I think Thailand must be getting close to that financial situation too...and that is why I think the Thai taxes on world wide income will probably come next year. Nothing but dire economic situation reports daily these days. -

not sure all the new dtv users understand the definition of a Thailand Tax Resident YET because many of their posts seem be unaware that over 180 days in thailnd during one calendar year makes them a tax resident and if they remit or have assessable income they are supposed to pay tax unless it is exempt for some reason. -
