  1. St Kilda up by 11 points at 3/4 time. Has been a good game. Saints led by 24 at 1/2 time. Geelong got to the front in the 3rd quarter but St Kilda struck back. One can only hope for an upset.

I tipped Geelong but hope Saints will win.

    Chooks will be happy.

As the most loyal of Saints fans he wil enjoy gettimg another tip correct this week

It was a great win. Membrey nearly lost it for for them with his shocking kick at goal.

    Good result for the Swans

    great win.

well done Chooks for picking them

No didn't. You still one tip ahead of me.
  2. Originally tipped freo to win tonight but just changed my tip. Rain and hail expected and coldest day in 21 years, temperature expected to be around 5 degrees for the game and might be a little harsh for the boys from the west coast area.

Thanks for letting us know before hand your tip, yep not an easy game to tip but neither team has sparkled this season so is it going to be the under achieving Freo in Melbourne on a miserable winters night that has begun some momentum with a few wins together or a disappointing Magpies scratch scratch who have fallen somewhere between flat and 3/4 chokers, the weather is more likely going to be kinder to Freo than the Pies if you want to take that into consideration Mr Chooks.

well that's good you are going freo Alex. I'm only two off top spot so it might edge me one closer.

  3. Most important of all, officers got to use modern technology to help identify and find the suspects.

What exactly was the modern technology? Was it a hold up alarm connected to a police station, was it the telephone, the motorcycle, CCTV or the ability to get off thier backsides and follow a script. None of this is modern technology and the way they responded is very outdated, time exausting and ineffective.

Modern police forces don't monitor holdup alarms as resources are used in a proactive manner ie: patrols. Private security companies who have a direct connection to a central police communications center monitor alarms. The communications center will then immediately dispatch the closest patrol which is determined by thier GPS position, other patrol units will provide back up by patrolling the area waiting for updates from the responding unit.

This receiving a phone call at the police station, then speaking to superiors who then formulate a plan, attend the scene, Sit down and view CCTV footage, formulate another plan and then personally pursue the offenders is time wasting and ineffective in real life situations.

  4. In the other thread about the UN,they said any organisation can take part in observations, but they would not be allowed at the polling stations.

    ? this is so confusing.

Yes, they can have a monitoring committee .

    No, they can't.

    Yes, they can.

    No, they can't.

It's against the law (maybe ).

    Let me check they say.

I am seriously confused these days.

what about the general's comment, what country would allow observers? This was whilst he was packing his bag to head off to the Philippines to observe the elections.
  5. Speaking on behalf of others again, the EU is happy with the fishing industry, then they get threatened with sanctions. The world is happy with thier human trafficking record and efforts but the tier remains the same and told to act. The world is happy with the Junta but it's still not recognised as a government.

If they make comments on behalf of others then back it up with some evidence or else the words mean about as much as a bargirl saying you're handsome and I love you and only you very much.
