  1. AFL Women's league: Collingwood, Carlton among eight clubs in new national competition.

TRADITIONAL heavyweights Carlton and Collingwood join Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs as the Victorian contingent in the first year of the AFL national women's league.

Fremantle has edged out West Coast in the battle of the west to be the Perth-based team in the eight-club inaugural competition.

Adelaide, Brisbane Lions and Greater Western Sydney are the other non-Victorian clubs to compete in the eight-week season in February-March next year.

  2. "Thailand has planned to attract foreign investors to"...

Thailand will NOT attract significant investors with the present Foreign Business Act. They can stand on their heads, do hoolahoops, throw in some hookers, anything, but foreign companies will NOT invest under present conditions.

How incredibly ignorant can the sods be that they think .. "tax incentives for researchers, easier work permits for foreign workers as well as financial and technical support"... will persuade people to throw away their investments. Thais did not invent cures for Ebola, Cancer or Stupidity.

Yes they did event the cures, the Junta said so. They weren't crowned the medical hub for nothing. The only problem is Somchia has misplaced the cures.
  3. Right the defence dept working on anti corruption. Wasn't it the military who arrested students who tried to expose military corruption? I guess if you work to cover up corruption then there is nothing to see and it never happened.

We don't have enough in the budget so let's take on another role and get an increase, my sons new lamborghini is waiting for collection.

  4. Of course it will run smoothly, people aren't allowed to question it.

He also asked members of the public to exercise their rights by going to the polls, adding that the countrys future rests in the hands of its people.

If people were allowed to exercise their rights in 2014 they probably wouldn't have this cluster of numnuts soldiers running thier lives and stripping their rights. People wouldn't be living in fear of having an opinion or voting against the referendum.

  5. It's past the time Charlie should be king. Arrogant old woman
Do you take the same stance on other Royals.

Or do you hold your tongue in fear ?
    Just a comment:
The British people don't have draconian laws on what you can and can't say about the British Royal Family. So you can legally say what you want without fear of being arrested or put in prison.

Edited to note that this has already been covered. !

But Thailand does and the lese majeste law covers foreign heads of state as well - so Queen Elizabeth is covered.

    Wikipedia

The third group is insult against the head of state of foreign countries or lèse-majesté. Insulting or threatening the king, queen, consort, heir-apparent, or the head of state of foreign countries (Section 133), which is an offence against friendly relations with foreign states, is punishable by one to seven years imprisonment or a fine of 2,000-140,000 baht, or both. The penalty for defaming, insulting or threatening the Thai monarch, the queen, heir-apparent, or regent (Section 112) is imprisonment for three to 15 years. Insulting or defaming a representative of a foreign state accredited to the royal court has the penalty of imprisonment for a term of six months to 15 years or a fine of 1,000-10,000 baht, or both.

The lèse majesté law also covers foreign heads of state but is not enforced. Private Eye Magazine is sold in Thailand and it makes fun of every members of the British royal family:
freedom of expression is a wonderful thing. Unfortunately some citizens will never know real freedom of speech.
