Certainly worth paying more to get a better monitor. I recently bought a Xiaomi Mi 34, which i was lucky to get for 9,100 baht. Great wide screen and 3440 x 1440 resolution. If you are going to use the monitor for say 5 years the extra cost per day is peanuts.

    Where from as great price?

It can be but they may still want signed copies of you daughters house book and ID.

It seems the volunteers were at fault for saying you did not have proof of residence. That was referring to a receipt for a TM30 form not proof of residence.

To be safe you could have your daughters to complete a TM30 form and have it ready next time.

I have never been asked for a TM30 report and of course no receipt for one in my passport.

CM last month while applying for retirement extension had me get a stamped version as they would not process with my online confirmation.

The heavy bags are terrible. I pay decent money at an English program school. I sent an email to the principal stating lockers for students was needed. No response. No reason to drag books around that aren't needed.

The bags are so heavy even as an adult I am shocked at how heavy my 4th grade girls is. Like you say, lockers for this books, etc. need to be made available so as to right this travesty. In the USA this solution has been in effect now for years.

    A warning about Lazada.....

I have been shopping with Lazada for several years, COD is the way I have always paid.

When on the odd occasion, I have needed to return the item (wrong description etc) I have had the refund paid into my Lazada Account Wallet, then used tis to pay for other items... Never been a problem, until this last year.... Lazada informed me , because my account it is in a foreign name, I cannot 'verify' my Wallet, therefor, the money in the wallet is inaccessible.

I applied to have the money refunded to my bank account, after their 'Checking system', this was refused.

So basically, the money is limbo....

This is not a problem. Foreigners or people over 50 can have the wallet transferred to Bank account. Try again on line access. If still an issue you call CS and they send you a link to complete bank transfer

Another question relating to the monies IRS sends for Covid relief. I got the first two checks by mail which took a few months to arrive. But the latest for 1,400 dollars hasn’t arrived ........yet! I was wondering if anybody has received that one by mail? Thanks.

My first two were direct deposit to my BKB. The third was to go out March 16. They included a letter was to go out first to my current address. I was told that was to be a bank card. I updated my address while on the phone. I emailed  that I had a new address and so far nothing,  so would they send another. That letter arrived May 25 and was a forwarded from old address. The Check arrived May 31st.

I retired at 62 so that I could do all of the things I wanted (Thailand holidays, travel Oz in a caravan) to do before I got old. The body gradually slowed but could do what I needed so it was only a matter of getting old. Then one day when I was 70 I realised I could not do the things I could when 68. It was then that I was old, not just getting old.

I too felt old at 70. I recall three Japanese girls walking past me down hill from Monk's trail in CM. Having never been passed by a female was a new experience. Since then I stopped competing altogether. In the last two years it has taken a while to adjust to my new reality.

You can obtain the required Covid Insurance online here: Home - Covid 19 Insurance (tgia.org)

Prices reflect the period of Cover and the risk factor of the Country your entering from.

1 year cover from Singapore is 14,400.

When do you plan to go and return to Thailand?

Leave in January and return I January.  I have lived here 5 years now and had used re-entry before when I vacationed in Bali two year ago. Prior to vacations two months in California. Now I see this is Covid related requirements and looks like where I vacation is related to risk of the country I re-enter from. Correct?

Hi Earl, it's not a 'Visa', it's a 'permit' (of stay).

At some point you would have originally had a Non Imm O Visa, which grated you permission of stay for 90 days. You then apply to extend that stay for a further 365 days each and every year (an extension of your permission of stay).

I know Immigration officers and agents call it a 'Visa', but you cannot extend a Visa, it has an expiry date. My guess is they don't know the difference themselves, or describing it as a 'Visa' just makes their life less difficult.

You could have applied for a re-entry permit yesterday whilst at CW.

Single entry are 1,000 baht, multiple entry 3,800 baht.

Yes you are correct This is an extension of stay to 2022. The insurance is notated as $100K Is the yearly cost about 3000 baht?
