  1. Come on, you know this is Thailand and a great education doesn't mean anything if you dont have the contacts and / or the money to pay for a good job!!
  2. not a problem....until it's a problem you might never get caught, but you never know. if you run into an officer in a bad mood??.. things could change.
  3. yes, gone are the days that Thai IO would tell you to just over stay, that it's no big deal.
  4. I guess you forgot that Taksin is the one that started the crack down on boarder runs and changed the fines on overstaying. It went from an IO joking and laughing about an overstay to it being a big issue. I do agree he did some good things, started the 30B medical program, finally got the new airport completed and the economy was humming along.
  5. ok...I got it, I see where you draw the line. you wont touch a whore, but you'll have a relationship with a slut.
  6. Sorry, I cant post a rule and not going to spend hours looking. It might not a be a written rule like allot of things in Thailand, but the officers at land boarders always want to see the exit stamp from the other crossing and would never accept it being in a different passport. My old business partner had two passports and tried this in the past and was never allowed, even if we spent a few days in Cambodia it didn't make a difference. They want to see the exit stamp in the passport and will only use the passport with the exit stamp.
  7. We are talking about changing passports at a land border.
  8. Yes, I saw that. As stated, the rules state this cant be done, but as always in Thailand corrupt officials are always ready to bend the rules with a little incentive.
  9. but he needs to exit on then EU passport or he will be on overstay. Not possible to change at land boarders as they want to see exit stamp.
  10. You cant change passports at a land crossing. He will need to fly out and back.
  11. When staying in BKK I never had issues. However, in Surin it was hit or miss if mail would make it.
  12. opening (starting) a recruitment agency would mean you have a Thai company therefore employees in Thailand. Prior to moving to Thailand I came to Thailand on a regular basis and our company was only required to get me a B visa for meetings, a work permit was not required for business meetings.
  13. Thailand gets into spats with Cambodia from time to time too. Then you have the issues at the southern boarder. Lastly,....always available for the next coup
  14. Is that round trip? If, so that's a good price at this time. We paid almost double that recently.
  15. like what happened in the USA and all those companies that moved to China due to higher wages, insurance etc
  16. If you get a VPN then you connect via US server and get US content.
  17. these are places of work that have illegal immigrants. They are not going around checking peoples status in clubs or on the streets.
  18. No.. and even if the police find out you overstayed or illegally staying (now called undocumented) they do nothing as that's immigrations job.
