You dont get it... people using the TE visa aren't tourist going in and out of the airport all the time, they get the visa to live full time in Thailand. Anyone that is constantly going in and out of Thailand doesn't need this visa.

A B visa and a Work permit dont go together they are two separate things and need to be applied. I had a B visa for 2 years before moving to Thailand and didn't have a work permit as I was only coming for meetings.

I use a credit card all the time. I pay it off monthly so no fees and I get cash back. I also have protection against fraud with my credit card. Using a debit card online is risky if it get compromised.

Don't know how many times I hear from my Thai friends and workers that when they need the police they call 2-3 different police stations hoping someone will show up.

What are you talking about??? IDC to pay a 90 day late reporting fee?? 20 years ago immigration could care less if you overstayed, especially 1 day, maybe a fee , no IDC time or bans. Back in the 90's I came to Thailand regularly for work and always had delays. Never had an issue overstaying 1-2 days, IO would laugh about it. as for overstaying they didn't really get serious on that until about 10-15 years ago.
