What is it with Thais and Hospitals?
AgMech Cowboy replied to bob smith's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I think this can be applied to most of the above post. Thais go to the hospital because it's the only place they can use their government medical policy and in the case of my wife and son, who have private insurance, inpatient care is covered, out patient care and prescriptions are not. -

Not sure who might still read this post, but a man who worked with him contacted me with the following: https://www.pdrh3.com/index.html

@scubascuba3 @CatoniI have no idea, but he lived in Thailand and contributed his time to bettering it. As you can see from some comments above he was a good person. Until today, I didn't know he was 64. Here and LinkedIn were the only two ways I knew to get the word out and let his friends know. (I found out from his brother who had contacted me in LinkedIn).

That's a pretty callous viewpoint. I've no idea about Mark's social life. He had not, yet, retired. Sadly, I do not know his cause of death. I made the post here, because he has lived in Thailand 10+ years and worked in Asia and the ME. Since I don't know his friends, this was one of the few way's I've had to let them know

I have a sad announcement to make regarding Mark Gorda: Mark Gorda passed away yesterday, 04 September 2022 in the Banglamung Hospital Chonburi, Thailand. Mark's body will arrive at 4pm on 6 Sept at the temple on Jomtien beach road for bathing rites and placed in the coffin. He be 3 nights at temple and then cremated, I'm guessing, on 9 Sept? Please pass this news on to all who knew him.

I know of one Moderator who would dispute you on this. He told me it is the same onerous task every year. -
Young German Man Displays Anti-Prawit Photo In Rayong
AgMech Cowboy replied to webfact's topic in Eastern Thailand
Me too. After them electing the leaders they've -ucked up with in Germany, you'd think they'd keep their opinions to themselves. It's not our business to become involved in Thai politics and/or protest. -

Doc, I have enough funds. I just choose to do it myself. You do you, I'll do me. -

Do not plan driving the last 75k into Yasothon at night nor any of the road from Yasothon to Mukdahan at night. They are extremely treacherous in the dark. (I've done it before in 2018. It's better than before, but we (my son driving) didn't quite make it before the sun went down getting into Yasothon Monday night. He quit on me after the experience. ???????? (I was a little frazzled, too, riding shotgun.) -

Yes, the one year multi is available. I returned home yesterday from obtaining mine on Tuesday. I have plans to write a trip report, but need a day or two to recover. I drive to and from Pathum Thani. It's a 'ruff' trip, especially from Saraburi to BKK after a long previous 5-6 hours. (I spend the night in Yasothon and drive back from there). What you will need is in ubonjoe's message below (and that's all I gave them). The cost is 5k baht. FROM ubonjoe: There have been reports of Savannakhet issuing multiple entry non-o visas. Requirements are here. https://savannakhet.thaiembassy.org/th/publicservice/non-immigrant-visa-o-visiting-family-member-of-a-thai-nationality-a-sp?page=5d84a44c15e39c26b400453e&menu=5d84a44c15e39c26b400453f -
Crouching Single-Paper, Hidden Uses
AgMech Cowboy replied to NoDisplayName's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
It would be nice to know what "nice lady"s job is or title is at the amphur. I'm sure you didn't walk up to the first lady you saw there and asked her for an affidavit. -
And how well the Irrigation and Dam control people do their jobs. They were sleeping on 2011 (or more to the point, to busy buttering up to the new government) and let the reservoir get too full before trying to lower the level in September and early October. They were then hit with 3 or 4 back to back Typhons that came across Vietnam, then Laos or Cambodia, and that was that. There was no place for the water to go.

Great, good to know. I didn't need a snarky reply. I'm glad you've found someone. I asked the question, because of a heavy set man who flew into Thailand a few years ago and had to have the flight attendant wipe is butt after a bowel movement; whereupon he sighed & groaned 'sexually' while they helped him. I was purely trying to sort things out before trying to help. Enjoy your stay.

Will the person need to speak English? Honest question... Will you want more than "help me in the shower" and get dressed? I know a lady who 'might' be available. She can do the things you listed. Beyond that I do not think she will be interest. (Damn good worker). She is from Myanmar.

I bought a 2nd hand computer at JM505 Computers 3 years ago. Not at all expensive (5k). It's still working good. They are located up a small Soi... Ramkhamkeng Rd, Soi 56, Bang Kapi area of Bangkok.
