  1. That rig is a few years old really although i took my old rig apart to use parts on other rigs a lot of my hardware was paid for from mining but those days are long gone imo what i have now is for something being released this year (NOT "crypto" but does use POC) cannot really say anything more publicly due to laws here DM me if you want to be informed when we go public here are a few other rigs i have made from old or cheap low power hardware maybe the OP would be interested in such as these would suit most people IMO that do not need GPU acceleration i do also plan to make a few small rigs that are 100% independant, off grid solar with sim the pink rig is my media center has sata HDD, and 2 x 6TB (for what is coming) and a 14TB drive for media (with any spare space being used) i do still use a few cases but for my needs it is hard to find cases these days that have many 3.5" drive bays as most people generally don't need them as i could not find suitable cases at a reasonable price, i then looked into making my own frames which work out much cheaper and the hardware stays much cleaner, due to no dust build up
  2. "OP's not telling" yet you are sure on what he is and is not doing.......????
  3. Stuffs....lol
  4. "built some 12 years ago" surely it is time for a new HDD, especially if building a new system for which a single HDD should easily cover the capacity of the 5 old drives i doubt the OP has more than 40TB on those old drives
  5. i mostly use open air cases (frames) these days this is my main PC although it does now have 6 x 6TB drives at the empty space at base and 2 fans underneath them
  6. why would 4 SATA ports not be sufficient for the OP? not saying that board/combo is ideal for the OP and his needs (although something like that seems it would be) but most people generally need 2 sata ports if any these days as we move to M.2 SSDs (This is coming from someone with a rig that has 50 SATA HDDs) if OP needs such storage i expect a new single HDD (or 2 for raid) would cover all his storage needs but 4TB M.2 are available, even 1TB might be enough for the OP not many people need more than this TBH not sure if the OP keeps his downloaded files i have my media library on a single 14TB drive
  7. Yes. Aircons working obvertime at present confirmed by energy use monitor chart i have off grid solar had computers and everything else shut down yesterday but still woke up to alarm bells for low power last night was like an oven outside even at night with a HOT breeze
  8. if in patts once you know roughly what you want you can just go to JIB in tukcom buy the parts from them and they will build for you for free it would be a good idea to post your budget you really do not need a powerful machine for what you do but i would advise getting a new motherboard that at least supports DDR5 RAM and preferrably has at least 2 x M.2 SSD slots this would purely be for longevity before next upgrade is needed as for parts the PSU could be worth keeping, even as backup but personally if rest of system is new i would get new PSU ALL of your parts can be stripped down, cleaned and sold online some old parts even fetch a good price these days due to scarcity
  9. obviously 4001 people used the system at the exact same second and that is the cause....LOL
  10. depends on your location and lifestyle do you plan to keep the hilux? if not, how long will it be before you miss having a pickup or need to rent a pickup for something?
  11. avoid food and screens a few hours before sleep turn off any blue LED lights, dim any lighting wake up early, don't have an afternoon nap weed is now legal, you do not need to smoke it but you can ingest it which takes an hour or so before it starts to take effect DM me if you need advice on weed oil/butter/edibles hoe to dose etc.
  12. i have literally already suggested this to the wife make a big picture sign on main road opposite school
  13. Agree with the rest, but not this part. The farmers listen and follow whatever the gov tells them hence why the land in most parts is in such a mess what they done before to "tackle" the burning was ban the factories from accepting burnt sugarcane so now the famrer must pay for manual labour to trim the sugar cane but they then just burn the waste so it solves nothing and just makes it slightly better for the factory and adds extra expense for the farmer
  14. remembering a very simple formula is a lot easier than remembering a gazillion passwords even with a password manager you need to remember your password, which should be secure even then for that single secure password remembering a simple formula is easier????
  15. in 3 months all the fields will have been harvested and waste burned and the politicians will be claiming victory (till next Jan)
  16. All depends what time and day you look at the map
  17. i use very secure passwords never write any down do not use words etc do not use any password managers the key is to have a formula you use to create your passwords then you only need remember the formula processors will get faster and GPU farms will get bigger
  18. buy the blocks that fit her budget unless you want to be forking out the extra you sort of already answered your own question
  19. maybe, it is because the children automaticaly have dual citizenship they don't need a visa to enter the UK but they do need a passport to pass through the port Thai PP would obviously require a visa but they do not qualify for a visa as they are british citizens
  20. i didn't quote my times, just that PP control was well over an hour, it took us about 1hr 45 mins to get through PPC back then you could not check in until check in staff were present which also took about an hour once they did arrive this was also a 6:30am flight, when airport is supposedly not so busy as i said we were not the only ones, many many people missed their flights that day it was common first few weeks of DM reopening and 2 hours in advance was the recommended time to arrive back then.
  21. Go to Laos. seems like you are trying to provide an affidavit, instead of "proof" with a guaranty A letter of guarantee from the local or overseas Embassy or Consulate, proving the monthly pension of the Applicant not less than Baht 40,000/month and show source of Income to myself, this reads as if it applies to pensions you have paid into a home account which you can also provide proof of source they likely require this letter as the (uncheckable) proof means nothing without the guaranty a letter from a Thai bank can be confirmed, a printed off statement of your account in your home country cannot.
  22. but but but big queues make the airport look busy like tourism is booming 120 (additional) staff should have 40 boothed manned 24/7 immigration here is bad i have missed a flight at Don Muang due to immigration being so slow (month after reopen) was well over an hour to get through PP control many in line frantically looking at the time many asking to go to front of queue as flight departing, all ignored as too many asking chief IO came out to shout at IO's when we got to go sign the missed flight log it was already half way down page 5, this was 7am when we signed, a while after flight left
  23. TBH That chart is nowhere near as scary as it should be if you want to test a password use it to lock a zip file then get lostmypass.com or similar to bruteforce it then consider there will be much bigger GPU farms than what you just used for testing
  24. much better to educate people about the effects of sugar consumption, companies will just add aspartame or other sweetners to make up for less sugar these sweetners can also affect health its like when you see "sugar free" but it is just loaded with sugar alcohol which is apperently "safe" but also stated "The safe recommended intake of sugar alcohol intake is 10-15 grams per day"-umms.org
