I have ridden along Jomtien beach the last few days and it is busier. Actually took a swim a few weeks ago and the water was the cleanest i have seen it in years. There was also a clean up crew at work on the sand. Problem is the Thais can't just rely on public holidays for their beaches and vendors to make money

I've had both dengue and recently chikunguyaa, both which are very prevalent here in Thailand. They came and sprayed my house but not my neighborhood so in less than 12 hours these little buggers can return and reek havoc but they are worried about covid which is migitable
-
I have had dengue years before and recently chikungyuyaa which is incredibly painful. They came and sprayed my house after but not the village. Waste of time, effort, and money as they took pictures to show themselves off
-
I've just gotten through it. It is a nightmare. I've also had dengue and although dengue can be more dangerous this was the most painful thing i've experienced. Hope no one else get it BPH saw me coming through the door and had a wheel chair for me before my wife even gave them my passport

mate of mine is in Koh Chang right now. Pricing right on the window of entry into a national park with a waterfall clearly states both in English and Thai....Children 20 baht, adults 40 baht, foreigners 200 baht. This is as of yesterday and he has proper visa and current Thai dl

Unless you converted from a different kind of Visa then you've got an extension...
Easy way to tell is a Visa is a sticker they put into your passport that looks like this (random pic grabbed from internet)...
And an extension is a stamp they put in your passport (another random pic from internet)...
Getting an extension does not reset the 90 day clock so you need to do a 90 day report 90 days after entering the country or 90 days since you last done one whichever is later
Converted from external visa to internal. met with visa consultant and was told all good until November. Thank you all for the advice i have gotten on here. Cheers!

I'm assuming you already had a Visa & have extended it (Not got a new visa) if so your extension has nothing to do with your 90 day report, so the only thing that matters is did you enter Thailand (doubtful) or do a 90 day report less than 90 days ago...
If the answer is no, then you're late on your report so go as soon as you can.
No. New visa. I could not 90 day report on my old one as it was obtained at the consulate outside Thailand
-
I just did a new retirement visa 3 weeks ago, am i supposed to do a 90 day check in after 3 weeks? If so thanks for the notice!

ENOUGH already! If you want to live in Libya, Somalia, or Syria then go live there, stop destroying your home, your voices have been heard. Enough is Enough already, you are not doing anything positive or constructive!

What a stupid article. It has already collapsed, it's time to think about rebuilding it

What about the mental health levels no one is talking about. What about the worsening poverty crisis that is not being addressed? Can't live in a bubble forever, people are suffering one way or the other

Long stay tourists and ex-pats looking to get back to their businesses or families will do the quarantine, no one else will. Real international tourism will not return until the quarantine is abolished no one else will even think about returning. Whether or not is it actually necessary is another topic but i think the writing is on the wall

So after obtaining a fit to fly cert, a covid negative test in order to fly, a test at the airport, a haz mat van escort to a house arrest quarantine that you have to pay for which includes 3 days locked in the room before another test which if is negative you get an hour and a half yard time for another 11 days and then the want to lo-jack your a$$? Obviously they are not serious about returning the tourism industry

I've just finished going through it here in Jomtien. It is a beast and a half! I've had yellow fever from the vaccination and dengue, combined they did not hurt as much as this. Careful lads!

Probably one of the most well written and informative post i have read in a very long time. A long, very detailed one at that. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience

Nothing at all to do with Trump having consistently denigrated mask-wearing? Even now, he violates the White House's own guidelines. He politicized public health issues.
No nothing to do with Trump at all. We are not robots that follow what any president does or doesn't do but thanks for making this political

I can't speak for all countries but as Americans we are an individualistic society. Also right now a very divided one. The main problem is the media has been so dishonest for so long now we simply don't trust them anymore which is why we were so slow in complying and taking it seriously

If they are not allowing foreigners from the country you are in it doesn't matter what kind of visa you have or how much money you have in a Thai bank. They don't give a rats behind
