We've been hearing how beaches and coral life have been rejuvenated since these closures and now on the brink of possibly re-opening the news comes out of dirty water ????

Who knows ?? But one thing is for sure the word ' narrative ' must be the most used word on You Tube. I've come to hate it.
LOL ok, that's their story and they're sticking to it

Ever considered that after a school day those kids go home, where not everyone is of school age?
So let them go to 7/11, take them shopping, go have a meal somewhere with then just don't send them to school

No foreign tourists with borders and airports closed.....shocked!
-
Why don't they extend the curfew until midnight and make an exception for the early markets and the traders that need them

So are you saying that Thailand has no desire to attract 30+ million visitors annually ?? I guess if that happens, there is always the opportunity to bring families to swim at Pattaya beach and visit a few temples instead.
That appears to be the narrative they are going with unfortunately

I'm sure this wonderful news is just warming hearts and tickling fancies the world over

Thailand has been looking for a way to shut down the bar and gogo scene for a long time. Congrats guys you found it, i would have thought by now you would have realized just how much you need it but .....nope

Pattaya beach will officially open again upon the first bus load of Wuhan tourists arriving in the resort
LOL. Why do people continue to think that only foreigners are the problem. If you read my post correctly the teens i was referring to were Thai's. Yes Thai people have been known to break a law or two, not just us long noses

So the beach where just the other day teens were busted for gathering, drinking, and littering may be due to open but beaches like Pattaya, Jomtien, and Ban Sarae, where people have been vastly obeying the closure and rules, is still due to remain shut?

I wouldn't regard being allowed out 19 hours a day free do do what you like given what is open as being locked in your room like a prisoner. The rules are pretty simple and easy to follow, you're free just except for a few wee hours of the night and with the bars having no signs of opening anytime in the near future it's not really that bad. Follow the rules and things will continue to ease, continue to break them and uncle Somchai will tighten the bootstrap again, welcome to military rule.

He doesn't know he's not infected. Many cases have no symptoms. I guess he didn't get the memo. I'm somewhat impressed though to hear that he does understand that the point of everyone wearing masks is to protect others.
This is kind of a tricky one. I believe everyone should be wearing a mask outside right now whenever possible if they are going to be less than 2 meters from someone else. It is not a law to have to wear one as far as i am aware of but it is a term and condition that certain businesses will not be allowed to remain open if they do not require this. Thus many local businesses will not allow you to enter with out one and that is their right

"Drop in foreign tourists"! What a wonderful spin on the fact that there aren't any because "we locked them out"!

This just keeps getting better and better, i mean you can't make this stuff up folks...LOL People can beat the snot out of each other but ban't have a drink together. I can't use the treadmill or the leg press machine at my gym but i can train in Muay Thai. I can go to the fights and have a sprite but i can't go out and have a cold beer or glass of wine with my evening meal. Genius, sheer and utter genius!!

Why have proposals and why have votes when the outcome we all know is pre-determined. Why even announce the result when we all know what it will be. This guy will do everything he can to keep his boot on the throats of his people, power hungry doesn't even begin to describe him

I think this bar business is outdated and should be replaced by more appealing things. Could be the right time now to change this sex and booze image. Alone walking on the Beach Road in not Corona times is a sex hassle for "normal" tourists. But even yesterday when I had to walk to the post office - "I come with you", "boom boom" and other invitations for sex. An open air brothel open at daytime already and this even at Corona times.
If you don;t like it then move. This is really the only community where you get this, which is what built the city. Plenty of other options out there

The school my kid goes to doesn't have an online study program so now what genius? School is an important of a childs development, not just the education material. This bozo is now talking about easing traffic congestion as a bonus to schools being closed. What a tool!
