  1. Yeah, no. Your ignorance is showing. Japanese quite like foreigners, especially hard working ones who contribute to society. Cohesion is a big concept here, and it seems to work. As to becoming a citizen, you are right that dual citizenship is not allowed. Not a big deal, I don't want to give up my original citizenship anyway. I can do everything here except vote.
  2. Love the victim blaming here. You can't face the reality that Jews in Arab countries were vilified, robbed, and ejected by the thousand. It wasn't "encouragement" from the newly formed state of Israel. It was bitter jealousy and extreme anti semitism. Or don't you believe that Arabs and Muslims are capable of being rational and decent?
  3. You mean the 20% who vote in elections, are members of parliament, who are judges, etc. THAT 20%? Cool. Now tell me the treatment of Jews who lived in Arab countries for generations. How were there lives? How are THEY doing today? It is a valid comparison if you are trying to assert that Israel is the bad guy in a region of innocents.
  4. No, I mean THESE head hackers... https://www.nationthailand.com/world/middle-east-africa/40032287
  5. Oh, are we going to play "Count the Jews"? Lets count the number of Jews who are even ALIVE in any of the 22 Arab countries in the world. If you want to talk religion, ask youself where they all went, and why. Now compare that to the number of Arabs in Israel. I'll wait for your answer.
  6. Because I DO live here. Thankfully I have most of my investments elsewhere.
  7. Israel is literally the only democratic state in the region. Supporting it is by definition supporting democracy. Or would you rather the head hackers and rapists get more support?
  8. Yes. If you can't even keep your immediate surroundings neat and tidy, what right do you expect to have to voice concerns over larger and more important issues? Nobody will listen to you, and why should they. People have been dying in Gaza since October. Yet the 'protesters' waited until the balmy days of spring to start protesting.
  9. Shocked to be agreeing with Gamma here. Japan is indeed a great place to live. Clean streets, great food, beautiful nature, interesting history, people with a sense of social responsibility, etc. Unfortunately the recent plunge in value of the currency is not great, but hopefully it is also temporary.
  10. I agree 100%, as do most sensible people. Protest away, as long as you don't damage property or infringe on the rights of other people to go about their lives, work, study, etc. At that point, you lose your legitimacy and drift into criminality. As an aside, it is strange to me that all these 'protesters' would probably consider themselves staunch environmentalists too. Yet they leave behind the most disgusting messes when they lose interest in their 'cause' or are expelled.
  11. Chances are that half the smooth brained idiots at these protests couldn't find Gaza on a map, nevermind articulate any sensible position on the subject. There are more than 100 conflicts currently going on in the world, yet somehow this one particular conflict gains their attention. Wonder why...
  12. Finally! Time for the precious snowflakes to learn that actions have consequences. Now, if I were the university administration, I would have taken a different path. Once the encampment was set up, I would have built a wall or fence around it. Not let anyone enter or leave. Not let anyone pass anything back and forth. Basically, let them wither on the vine. Guarantee that within 24 hours of being without their Starbucks Pumpkin Cinnamon Latte they would be screaming to be let out. It worked great in Germany when a group trespassed at the Porche Museum.
  13. Yes, the walls are closing in. The lastest bombshell allegation. This is the beginning of the end. Think we have all heard this tune before..
  14. Yes. No need for them to be anywhere else. I'd like Canada to chuck them all out as well. Putting too much pressure on the housing market.
  15. Since you seem the expert on the subject, care to enlighten us on what social media we should not be using? All I use is Line.
  16. Yeah, I dont get Fox where I live, and from the clips I see it isn't particularly interesting. Dogma from the right is as tiresome as dogma from the left.
  17. Little knowledge? More like little that you agree with, but that is OK. If it makes me more credible, I HAVE lived in the US for several years. Does that make me more worthy of having opinions? Besides, what is more worthless than a bunch of grumpy old expats living in Asia bitching and moaning about what is happening in a place that few of them will ever live in again?
  18. I am sure some do. But a large minority, perhaps majority, do not. They want ALL the land. With no Jews on it. The same way there are virtually no Jews in the 22 Arab nations of this world. How do you think THAT came about, by the way? That is the what the future holds for Israel should Hamas win.
  19. 'Genocide in progress'? Give me a break. The population of Gaza has GROWN by 50,000 people a year since the 1960s. Some genocide. The IDF could easily kill 20,000 people in a day if they wanted. Yet somehow they kill only 1% of that number (even if you believe the liars of Hamas). That speaks to the professionalism and care that the IDF takes when conducting operations.
  20. Cooperation sounds great. Let Europe cooperate and build refugee camps close to the borders of Europe. Let the asylum seekers stay until their claims are adjudicated. Have planes on standby to deport those who do not qualify.
  21. NATO needs fewer members, not more. Russia is very much not in check, they are just getting ramped up and unfortunately time is running out for any kind of settlement to be reached that will see Ukraine maintain any semblance of independence. The rest seems to be your usual copy/paste of Democratic Party talking points. I am concerned about America the same way that the mouse is concerned that the elephant will roll over in its sleep. What happens in the US MATTERS to the rest of the world. Most other countries can afford to have mediocre blowhards in power, like Trudeau in Canada. But the US needs more.
  22. Ya think? Then I am VERY curious to hear your take on what it is like to be a Jew in Palestine. Or Egypt. Or Iran. Or Algeria. How many are even left there? Were you the one claiming that the Jews didn't "get there first"? As if that matters in the great sweep of history, even if it were true. Which it doesn' seem to be.
  23. Not exactly. Some crimes are more serious than others, some have statute of limitations applied and so on. So let's let it play out and see where we wind up.
  24. Stormy absolutely. MaDougal I frankly don't know enough about to make an informed guess. So yeah I am sure he paid Stormy to shut up. She saw an opportunity to sell her story once Trump was in the spotlight as a Presidential candidate. And he wanted the story to go away.
  25. Not OK with it, but not sure why it is such a big deal. The amount of money in question was paltry. But let's let the system do its job and see where it takes us.
