  1. I just completed this quiz. My Score 60/100 My Time 30 seconds
  2. They are. "Easily fooled" can describe both extremes of the political spectrum. Call it a social experiment to see who jumps, and how high.
  3. Thought I would put in a vote for a girl from the Land of the Rising Sun;
  4. You are right, I stand corrected. I will try to get some help with my unhealthy obsession.
  5. Just trying to bring a brief moment of levity to a forum that seems full of people who take themselves, and their feelings, way to seriously. I thought the article was a great example of how people can be fooled if they read a headline and get all charged up, without actually reading the accompaning article. No worries about the "woke lefty" stuff. I have been called worse, believe me!
  6. Busted.... I am a hateful and dishonest leftist. Oh, and you forgot to mention that Rep Luna's husband was also present when the offer was made.
  7. Untrue. Hegseth served under fire, earned the CIB (Combat Infantryman's Badge), which is only given to those who serve in, to quote his citation, "active ground combat" in battle zones. He also was awarded the Bronze Star with "V" for valour, which again is only awarded for action in combat. He led a rifle platoon. Waltz never got within sniffing distance of gunfire, unless it was on a training field.
  8. The Daily Beast broke this story. Trump, while flying on his private jet, offered his bed to rather attractive young Congresslady Anna Paulina Luna. He also pleaded that she not tell his wife! Could this be the beginning of the end? The walls finally closing in? https://www.thedailybeast.com/dont-tell-melania-trump-once-offered-rising-maga-star-his-bed/?via=twitter_page&utm_medium=socialflow&utm_campaign=owned_social&utm_source=twitter_owned_tdb
  9. ...and it took until the fourth comment for "b-b-but Trump!" to rear its ugly head. Any thoughts on the topic of the discussion perchance?
  10. In the days of the Infobahn, is it reallly necessary to have a government funded radio station?
  11. I believe Tesla is an American company. There is nothing wrong with an American President promoting American products. It is nothing out of the ordinary, and you can easily find myriad examples from past administrations. None of which generated any pushback whatsoever. What makes it interesting is the reflexive howling from the left.
  12. Carney will be crushed in a debate with Polievre. Pierre is sharp and has been honing his skills in Parliament for years. His French is also not nearly as good as either Polievre or Singh.
  13. Doesnt matter. He is out within a week or so- the Liberal Party threw him out and are in the midst of a leadership campaign. So whatever he does or says means nothing. Hopefully we will have an election soon and elect the Conservatives to keep the country running.
  14. Those bases are there at the request of the host countries.
  15. Not at all. Ukraine needs the US. The US doesnt need Ukraine. That is why Zelensky is busy backpedalling, arranging a return visit to Washington, etc. And this time bringing Starmer and Macron for moral support. It is quite remarkable that Europe (population over 500 million) need the help of the US (population 330 million) to deal with Russia (population 130 million). Especially when the Russian economy is about the size of Spain's.
  16. Maybe, maybe not. But the point still stands. Ukraine is the supplicant, the begger. And so needs to be very very careful in how they go about business.
  17. More like Zelensky was pulled aside by more pragmatic advisors and told to STFU. The US doesnt need Ukraine, but the Ukraine will not survive without American support.
  18. Maybe they could use the same tailor? Elon might even foot the bill! Point being that Musk dressed for the occasion. Zelensky did not. And all your cheap deflection and obfuscation will not change that simple fact. Nor will it change the fact that Zelinsky is now pulling his horns in and recognizing reality.
  19. Just watching Trump's address of Congress. Elon Musk is wearing a suit.
  20. It took a few days, but it seems that he has either come to the right conclusion or taken some good advice from smart people around him. Pres Zelensky is now rather contrite, and willing to sign the deal he originally rejected last week. To quote in part from his authentic Twitter account: Our meeting in Washington, at the White House on Friday, did not go the way it was supposed to be. It is regrettable that it happened this way. It is time to make things right. We would like future cooperation and communication to be constructive. Regarding the agreement on minerals and security, Ukraine is ready to sign it in any time and in any convenient format. We see this agreement as a step toward greater security and solid security guarantees, and I truly hope it will work effectively.
  21. Yes, he has. And, he ALSO has to consider what is more important to him, his 'solidarity sweatshirt' or getting a deal to stop the war in his country. It appears that he chose the former.
  22. Behind and to the left of Zelensky. Generally when a leader who is not fluent in English visits, they have an interpreter present. Often Trump will also have one behind HIM, behind and to the right, just to have clarity. THey are genenrally kept out of frame when the leaders are photographed or filmed, but they do attend. You can see in this photo a young man behind Zelensky , and an unused chair behind Trump.
  23. Some did, but the vast majority of lefties on here refused to believe. I think I was the only person here bold enough to predict that Trump would win all 7 battleground states.
  24. Zelinsky was arrogant enough to not go through his interpreter when discussing very sensitive and serious topics. His English is quite good, more than adequate for casual discussions. But getting into a back-and-forth in a second language in such a setting was foolish. You only need to see the reaction of the Ukranian ambassador to the US to get a hint as to how things went...
  25. Still deflecting madly I see. If you want to start a discussion about Musk's fashion sense, be my guest. But it bears no relevance here. Musk is not a national leader. He was not invited to a formal meeting with the President in the Oval Office. And, most importantly, he is not begging for billions of dollars. Zelinsky is ALL of those things. And his choice of attire said a lot about his attitude. And that attitude was on display in the meeting. He is arrogant enough to contradict and argue with the President of the United States, in front of the world press, in the President's Oval Office. Now, that may be good for Zelinsky's fanboys but it is NOT good for his country.
