  1. I kinda prefer the Active Denial System- basicalllly a microwave scanner that makes people feel like they are on fire. Great for crowd control.
  2. I think that was Hong Kong during the protests a few years back. Japan does not HAVE looters or rioters. It's a nice safe and law-abiding place. With very low levels of illegal immigration, clean streets, and low tolerance for douchebaggery.
  3. Ah, the Palisades Fire. How quickly Mayor Bass has put it on the back burner (sorry, bad pun). There have been virtually zero building permits granted since then, as her/the lefty bureaucracy gums things up for people who want their lives back. This is a true scandal that gets no attention. She needs to stay in her lane. Run the city.
  4. Do you understand "due process"? Can you explain it, or is it just a talking point to you? Also, removing illegal aliens is one of the pillars of the GOP victory, and is widely supported by a majority of Americans. Folks DO like it. Just check the polling.
  5. I am wondering about this too. It is all too convenient, seems scripted... Trump is an expert troll, he has been trolling Canada for months. I can see the two of them getting together and planning this whole thing, just to mess with the media and their willing syncophants.
  6. What caused the present trouble in MSP is exactly what you just demonstrated for all to see; acting on poor and wrong information. Could you explain what "due process" an illegal alien is entitled to, once they are adjudicated to be in the country without status?
  7. In any case, this might be the future;
  8. Arguments can be made for any and all of the above. I notice you chose not to address any of the undeniably smart people I mentioned though...
  9. Bessent, Lutnick, Rubio, Burgum, Leavitt, Homan.... these people are not skilled? Time to put aside your natural instinct to scoff at the President and look at things pragmatically.
  10. You missed a few zeroes there. The damage in MSP was %500 million, across the country about $2 billion.
  11. Trump learned from his first term that loyalty in Cabinet is important. It is Politics 101. Most presidents are elected with enough political experience to know this. It was his failure. Having said that, the current cabinet is both loyal and skilled.
  12. How long will it take until the left welcomes Elon back into the fold..... Personally, I agree with him. The deficit is out of control and needs to be reined in. I guess Trump is learning the gentle art of politics quickly.
  13. ...or maybe they just disagree? ...or maybe Musk is now in "businessman mode" and working to get his companies back on track? There is nothing wrong with being skeptical about ANY government program or bill, especially one of this magnitude. It is almost funny watching the left try to use this as a "wedge" to drive space between Musk and Trump, and to sow dissention in those on the right in general. It won't work.
  14. True. It is hard to pardon people who were never arrested and/or convicted.
  15. BS. What part of "black people burning down black-owned busiesses" is about racial injustice? It was so racially injust that the (white) cop who killed George Floyd went to prison......oh wait.... nevermind.
  16. Agreed. Plus, when she speaks Italian at a political rally or event, I get a stiffy. I have no idea what she is saying, but it sounds passionate!
  17. Apparently they do, it is the only thing they can cling to in their sad, depressed little world.
  18. The party that ran Tim friggin Walz as their "spririt talker" to white men.... The party whose two black presidential candidates weren't actually "African American" in the sense most people use- descendants of slaves. Rather, they were rather upper class elites from their respective countries. The party that cannot seem to get on the right side of issues that align with large pluralities of voters.
  19. THE big thing for the Democrats is they always try to retool their messaging. Like now, how to talk to the young men, as if they were a different species. Their problem isn'T messaging, it is the message. Until they start getting on the right side of 80/20 issues, they are doomed. Second, they are afraid of their donors and the radical left of the party. There is no leadership. Third, they disdain the American people. The elites look down on regular voters as ignorant and ill educated.
  20. Their voters fled?!? They got more than 2 million MORE votes than the previous election. How is that fleeing? The polls were based on Trudeau as leader. When the Liberals (wisely) jettisoned him, they got a bump. And the Conservatives ran a poor campaign, they were not prepared. Finally, the left vote coalesced around Carney. You can see that in the numbers for the NDP and Bloc. Both got shelled. Their voters went Liberal overwhelmingly.
  21. Strange you should bring that up. The conservatives actually got 2.4 million MORE votes, and 24 more seats in Parliament, compared to the previous election. So I am not sure where you get your data. ETA It is obvious to anyone that the vote in Canada shifted from scared lefties to the Liberal Party.
  22. Absolutely nothing. Maybe some elderly church ladies would angrily brew a cup of tea or perhaps write a letter to the Times. In the US, people have already put a crucifix into a jar of urine and called it "art". AFAIK they didnt have to live in hiding or fear for their life. By contrast, a minor journalist who decided to have a "draw Mohammed" campaign has been in hiding and not seen since.
  23. True. He just does it because he knows that it makes paranoid lefties jump. In reality, the US would be foolish to annex Canada. The Americans don't need 40 million more people with the GDP of Mississippi.
  24. Very true. I recall the same thing in the UK. So-called "migrants" who crossed the channel claimed (without evidence) to be teenagers. Conveniently they had no ID, no passport, no way to prove it. But the activist class in England believed them and put them in schools and homestays as if they were kids. Turned out many were in their 20s...
