Of course, it is only logical. But the ideas have been around for years and he refused to consider them. Instead, he went balls in on 'green energy'. Also tried to usurp the provinces in their control of natural resources. Made it near impossible to open a refinery or LNG terminal. And now suddenly, he is Mr. Energy. What a load of horse hockey.

Of course Trudeau is not running. But he IS trying to save his party from abject defeat in the upcoming election. He is trying the well-used Liberal trick of fearmongering about the USA. And also trying to pave the way for his crony Mark Carney to win the leadership of the party and then the Prime Ministership.

One from Alberta west to British Columbia, called the Northern Gateway. Another across the country east to New Brunswick, called Energy East. One problem is that Canada's main pipeline producers like Enbridge are reluctant to take part, they got burned before in a maze of over^regulation and delays.

Canada is catching the "drill baby drill" fever too, suddenly. Trudeau is pretending to be afraid of an American takeover, and is suddenly advocating new pipelines, new drilling, even more nuclear power. Obviously trying to make our next election about Trump instead of about himself. It is a good idea really. Would you rather buy oil from democratic countries, or the head hackers in the Middle East? LNG from Russia or from Canada? Oil isn't going away any time in the near future.

$4 million for LGBT causes in Macedonia. $8 million for DEI education in Nepal. $2 million for sex change operations in Guatemala. Tell me the American taxpayer should be on the hook for any of this. Hell, USAID was even giving money to the BBC! Shut it down, a quick savings of nearly $50 billion which could alternately be spent in AMERICA to help Americans.

Yeah, except Israel didn't grab Gaza. They actually gave it BACK in 2005 I believe. And this is the result. You know, you need to think about exactly WHY the 22 Arab countries in the world are so reluctant to accept Palestinians as refugees or migrants.

Thanks, but we need an apology from a fckstain like George Conway the way a hemmorhoid needs a pimple. We will be fine once we eject the Liberals and Trudeau from power. They have been messing up my country for nearly 10 years wit their vacuous, mind-bendingly stupid policies. It IS sad that it took Trump to awaken the moribund sense of patriotism and nationalism that have been dormant. Embarrasing, frankly. But if it leads to better governance and prosperity, then so be it.

IT's interesting that the news broadcasts in Canada these days are showing stories of illegals being stopped and arrested, RCMP planes using infrared and the like to monitor the border, etc. Plus drug busts and the like. Hopefully future Prime Minister Pierre Polievre is calling for life in prison for fentanyl traffickers. All this should have been happening years ago. But it took Trump to light a fire under the moribund idiots that run Canada these days.

Those panties are really bunching up in a very uncomfortable way, aren't they? You still think booing at sporting events is the best way to express policy disagreements? How about you listen to actual Canadians instead of indulging in your conspiracy theory fueled ranting...

Is moving to Cambodia really the end of the line?

There are no warlike threats, grow up. As for being wildly unpopular, Trump's approval rating is hovering around 47% In Canada, polling shows that more than 40% of young Canadians would take an American passport. Also more than 40% think we don't need to take him seriouslly about this. https://www.ipsos.com/en-ca/43-percent-canadians-would-vote-be-american-if-citizenship-and-conversion-assets-usd-guaranteed But your comments about booing at sports events and the like are rather silly. Much like government run liquor stores removing bourbon and Budweiser from the shelves. All performance and no depth.

Enjoying a nice tall mug of leftist tears. Watching the Chicken Littles' of the media run around like their hair is on fire. -
Trump is a bullsh!tter of renown. He is a New Yorker. He is a real estate guy. All three talk this way. It is standard negotiating to stake out a demand far in advance of what you are willing to settle for. The "magic wand" you need is called common sense. As for reading minds, how do you know it will antagonize the Arab world? Just as likely that their leaders secretly would welcome a solution to the Gaza problem that lets them get back to making money and stabilizing their own regimes. Hamas is an annoyance, but one that they have to tolerate publicly.

Yes, that would be the childish and petulant thing to do. All performance and no meaning. A very typical lefty response to any problem. It is rather ridiculous to think about booing at hockey games, when teams based in the US are composed of players mostly from Canada and Europe.

"The natives"... did not own the land, they took it from each other through war and conquest. As did the European colonists who came later. No difference. There was no collective "natives" who claimed the entire North American continent. There were tribes in areas who came and went, depending on the season and whether or not they were at war. I guess Mexico should give their country back to the Aztecs and Maya then.

Actually, the amount of fentanyl and other drugs being produced IN Canada and smuggled to the US is at an all time high. In the past couple months there have been huge drug busts in British Columbia, including the largest fentanyl lab ever found in the country. 54 kg of fentanyl, mountains of precursor chemicals, 390kg of meth, 35b kg of coke, 94 firearms... The slack approach to drugs by the Trudeau government is a genuine concern.
