BLM at it again in Gov.Walz’s Minneapolis streets …
Hanaguma replied to riclag's topic in Political Soapbox
You missed a few zeroes there. The damage in MSP was %500 million, across the country about $2 billion. -
Trump learned from his first term that loyalty in Cabinet is important. It is Politics 101. Most presidents are elected with enough political experience to know this. It was his failure. Having said that, the current cabinet is both loyal and skilled.

How long will it take until the left welcomes Elon back into the fold..... Personally, I agree with him. The deficit is out of control and needs to be reined in. I guess Trump is learning the gentle art of politics quickly.

Musk calls Trump’s big tax break bill a ‘disgusting abomination'
Hanaguma replied to BLMFem's topic in Political Soapbox
...or maybe they just disagree? ...or maybe Musk is now in "businessman mode" and working to get his companies back on track? There is nothing wrong with being skeptical about ANY government program or bill, especially one of this magnitude. It is almost funny watching the left try to use this as a "wedge" to drive space between Musk and Trump, and to sow dissention in those on the right in general. It won't work. -
Giorgia Meloni Defies the Left as Her Popularity Endures

Agreed. Plus, when she speaks Italian at a political rally or event, I get a stiffy. I have no idea what she is saying, but it sounds passionate! -
Democrats Reckon With Deeper Crisis Beyond Fundraising Woes
Hanaguma replied to Social Media's topic in World News
The party that ran Tim friggin Walz as their "spririt talker" to white men.... The party whose two black presidential candidates weren't actually "African American" in the sense most people use- descendants of slaves. Rather, they were rather upper class elites from their respective countries. The party that cannot seem to get on the right side of issues that align with large pluralities of voters. -
Democrats Reckon With Deeper Crisis Beyond Fundraising Woes
Hanaguma replied to Social Media's topic in World News
THE big thing for the Democrats is they always try to retool their messaging. Like now, how to talk to the young men, as if they were a different species. Their problem isn'T messaging, it is the message. Until they start getting on the right side of 80/20 issues, they are doomed. Second, they are afraid of their donors and the radical left of the party. There is no leadership. Third, they disdain the American people. The elites look down on regular voters as ignorant and ill educated. -
Their voters fled?!? They got more than 2 million MORE votes than the previous election. How is that fleeing? The polls were based on Trudeau as leader. When the Liberals (wisely) jettisoned him, they got a bump. And the Conservatives ran a poor campaign, they were not prepared. Finally, the left vote coalesced around Carney. You can see that in the numbers for the NDP and Bloc. Both got shelled. Their voters went Liberal overwhelmingly.
-
Strange you should bring that up. The conservatives actually got 2.4 million MORE votes, and 24 more seats in Parliament, compared to the previous election. So I am not sure where you get your data. ETA It is obvious to anyone that the vote in Canada shifted from scared lefties to the Liberal Party.

Absolutely nothing. Maybe some elderly church ladies would angrily brew a cup of tea or perhaps write a letter to the Times. In the US, people have already put a crucifix into a jar of urine and called it "art". AFAIK they didnt have to live in hiding or fear for their life. By contrast, a minor journalist who decided to have a "draw Mohammed" campaign has been in hiding and not seen since.

'SHOCKING': Migrant arrested for posing as high school student …
Hanaguma replied to riclag's topic in Political Soapbox
Very true. I recall the same thing in the UK. So-called "migrants" who crossed the channel claimed (without evidence) to be teenagers. Conveniently they had no ID, no passport, no way to prove it. But the activist class in England believed them and put them in schools and homestays as if they were kids. Turned out many were in their 20s... -
Don't Eat Jew Food! Says Hamas leader from...Beirut
Hanaguma replied to Hanaguma's topic in Political Soapbox
Come to think of it, do you actually see any starving people in the pictures and videos of Gaza? They all seem pretty well fed to me. Compare them to the actual starving people we saw in Darfur, and Somalia. Even with Hamas stealing (and reselling) so much of the relief sent there. -
Don't Eat Jew Food! Says Hamas leader from...Beirut
Hanaguma replied to Hanaguma's topic in Political Soapbox
I think "unhinged" are the Hamas leaders who tell their people to starve rather than eating food provided by Israel and the US. It shows how little they actually care about the people of Gaza. Or is that OK with you? -
What's the dullest place in Thailand?
Hanaguma replied to Tuco Ramirez's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
The golf thing is spot on. My condo has about 20 sets of golf clubs in the lobby at all times! And it is not a big building, only about 200 units. -
Don't Eat Jew Food! Says Hamas leader from...Beirut
Hanaguma replied to Hanaguma's topic in Political Soapbox
I was paraphrasing. Relax. The point is that Hamas is simultaneously crying about starving kids AND refusing to take aid that is not siphoned through a network that they can pilfer from. Especially coming from a chunky neckbeard like Hasdan. Isn't that a bit more important than quibbling about word choice? -
”Hamas wanted Kamala to win", says former hostage in CNN interview
Hanaguma replied to Hanaguma's topic in Political Soapbox
Given your obvious knowledge of military operations, could you enlighten us with the "Tug Strategy" on how to wipe out Hamas without any collateral damage? Especially if you read my other post, where an obese Hamas leader calls for Gazans to starve rather than eat food provided by the Jews. -
Gazans are starving, but should suffer instead of eating food from either of the Satans (Israel and US) according to Osama Hasdan. Speaking from his safe space in Lebanon, he declared; “We expect our great people to thwart the method of receiving aid today, just as they thwarted it yesterday. We trust that our people will endure hunger and not extend their hands to the occupier asking for aid!” https://www.cbsnews.com/news/us-israel-backed-gaza-humanitarian-foundation-aid-effort-tumultuous-start/ Hamas has been blocking aid that does not come via the UN or UNRWA, because they have no way to steal it or divert it for their own uses. By the way, here is a photo of the man who wants his people to heroically starve;

In an extraordinary interview on CNN, former hostage Omar Tov asserts that his captors in Gaza were cheering for a Harris victory. And were terrified when Trump won. After the Bad Orange Man was elected, his treatment became more civilized, he started getting better food, and people stopped spitting on him. The Trump Effect in action... https://edition.cnn.com/2025/05/28/Tv/video/amanpour-shemtov

The problem is that will all the sanctions, Europe won't sanction the one product that would actually hurt Russia- energy. LNG imports from Russia are higher than ever. So forgive me if I am skeptical. Seems like Europe is willing to fight to the last Ukranian,as long as they can sell Ukraine weapons and buy gas from Russia.
