  1. He's not on Sky. He's on Rupert Murdoch's Talk TV channel, on cable and YouTube.
  2. He's the main presenter on Rupert Murdoch's Talk TV (on cable, YouTube).
  3. My British son (8-years-old) switched from an International School to a Thai Bi-lingual/English Program school a year ago. The school keeps sending me details of various external Tests such as Thailand English Skills Evaluation Test (TESET), the National Academic Test (NAT), Asian Science and Mathematics Olympiad (ASMO) and English Language competition, Japan International Science and Math Olympiad (JISMO). They all require an entry fee, which is fine, but I have no idea how essential external tests like these are. Do they have any bearing on the student's progress through the Thai system to Secondary level? Or are they just a money-making exercise for Thai parents who like to show off their kids?
  4. Unfortunately nothing to do with the UK Embassy in Bangkok. As @Mutt Daengsays, it has to be legalised by the UK Legalisation Office in Milton Keynes (at a fee) and then certified/attested by the Thai Embassy in London (also at a fee). When I did this for my UK marriage certificate, it took about 14 days. The MK office will forward the legalised document to the Thai Embassy for you, if you provide a stamped-addressed envelope. It's much easier to do if you're in the UK or have someone in the UK to do it for you.
  5. The Embassy is now at St Louis BTS. VFS operate from The Trendy offices but only deal with the admin for applications and renewals. The passport itself is issued by HMPO in Liverpool.
  6. 'The lad doth protest too much, methinks.'
  7. Yes, on reflection I'll replace it with the lack of respect for the environment due to littering. (That said, walking to work in a nice shirt & tie and getting dripped on from canopies did use to drive me crazy).
  8. Yes, even The US Office wasn't a patch on the UK original. However, original sitcoms like Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm knock the socks off most UK comedies.
  9. I could easily think of 5 things I hate about my 'home' country as well. Maybe you're just easy to please.
  10. 1. Cheap accommodation 2. Pad krappow moo khrob Can't think of another 3.
  11. 1. Food in restaurants not being served at the same time. 2. Motorbikes / helmets (or lack thereof) 3. Speeding/tailgating drivers 4. Dripping canopies 5. 90-day & TM30 reporting
  12. REPS is good value, if you're happy with a bilingual program.
  13. It's hardly a surprise that most crime in Thailand is committed by Thai nationals!
  14. It is noticeable how most truly great TV now comes for the US (Succession, Better Call Saul) or South Korea (Squid Game).
  15. Why not also deport all the listed nationalities who are already here (plus Australia/NZ who you missed off the list)? Thailand for Thais, right? ????
  16. https://www.passport.service.gov.uk/overseas/information/thailand/renew/adult All quite easy. Fill in the forms and check what additional docs you need, then make an appointment and take everything to VFS in Chiang Mai. You'll also need a colour copy of every page of your current passport.
  17. I doubt he cares. It's just a discussion thread to try and get some interest/banter going. There's no necessity to participate in it or even read it!
  18. I'm inclined to disagree. Most of MF's huge youth vote was because of his promise about 112.
  19. It would have been illegal if he'd done that, but he didn't! Not for the first time, The Sun was wrong (just like with their Hillsborough reporting). It seems perfectly black & white, which is why, currently, the police are satisfied that no crime has been committed.
