  1. Nobody is dodging anything by paying 1m Baht + for a visa.
  2. Heathen idol made o' mud, what they called the great Gawd Bud.
  3. You clearly have no idea of business accounting in multinational companies. Or the Thai Revenue Department.
  4. Do you really think that airlines want to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars extra a year in collecting taxes and processing them on behalf of a foreign government? It's not as simple as 'add $9'. There will then be lots of software and extra staff resources needed to administer it on the airline side.
  5. Nobody will take responsibility. Thais simply blame someone else.
  6. I'm yet to see how the Thai revenue office will know about income from UK assets paid to a UK bank account.
  7. She doesn't react like someone who has been kicked. Normally someone would touch or hold the place they were struck. They might walk with a limp or have some impediment or a reaction of shock at least. Let's face it, Thai women, whatever their social standing, are not known for telling the truth. In fact, they're some of the world's best liars.
  8. They've been saying this for years. Before it was because too much ground water was being stolen combined with too much concrete covering Bangkok and too many high rise buildings. One thing is for sure. The Thais will not do anything until it's too late. And even then, money will mysteriously disappear.
  9. I'm shocked. I really thought Anutin was honest and went into politics as he has the best interests of the country in his heart. And the whole time he's been using his position to obtain state land and profit from the medical industry? No, never, not him. There must be some misunderstanding.
  10. He's been traveling the developed world begging for investment. So yes, what the developed world thinks about their politics is incredibly relevant.
  11. Thailand has been a sham for decades. Anyone old enough will remember how they smiled to the rest of the world while collecting vast sums of money from the Americans so they could use the country as a military base for slaughtering innocents in North Vietnam. Or how Thailand propped up the Khmer Rouge, gave sanctuary to its leaders, and then pocketed tens of millions of dollars in foreign aid that was supposed to be going into rebuilding Cambodia when the regime fell. More recently, they have been financing the Junta in Burma. Ordinary Thais = lovely, if somewhat simple, people. The country's rulers = vermin.
  12. A nation of cowards. Always have been, always will.
  13. They should do something about the Soi 6 problem.
  14. Corruption, poor heath and safety and a lack of uneforcement of laws are a symptom of a developing or undeveloped society. Don't tell Thais that, though. They'll get upset.
  15. They won't exactly choose Rolls Royce after getting caught demanding bribes for contracts.
  16. Apparently Thailand also controls prostitution through laws. Everyone knows how effective that is. Cannabis shops will be exactly the same as bars and massage parlours - monthly payments to police to keep operating.
  17. Every one of them. They couldn't lie straight in bed. A certain family should also be included on there, seeing as they treat the country's revenue like their own purse
  18. Wonder how much Stretta paid to the Toxin clan to be their PM candidate. He certainly wasn't elected by voters.
  19. Christ, you're exactly the kind of person that would fit in working for the Thai police.
