  1. Going rate appears to be around 3500 Bht. Queue jumping, pick up and return, all supporting documents (e.g. residence and Dr certificate).
  2. If you read back I said "Easier just getting a throwaway flight from one of the numerous sites out there..." Those numerous sites include for example https://bestonwardticket.com/, https://onward.flights/ etc. These give you a "real" flight that can be verified by check-in staff but you obviously can't actually fly.
  3. That's awkward timing for sure. Hopefully you'll get pre-approval today and they'll process via COE. Even if they don't I wouldn't be too concerned, a week to process it under the ThailandPass may be a bit nerve wracking but easily doable. Just jump on it as soon as it's launched
  4. No need. It's a selection box so you can only choose one or the other. No error has been made, prior to the latest change it didn't mention exemption for quarantine at all so you would have chosen 7/10 days quarantine (which has now been amended to reflect the new option under the new rules). This will be matched with the paperwork you upload (vaccine status and hotel booking) to determine what you are doing i.e. 1 night test and go ("quarantine free").
  5. You can't post these type of facts, the "cash is king" mob will have palpitations. They never seem to have a good argument when you point out that yes, in day to day life much of Thailand is still cash based but unless you are paid in Baht ...
  6. Yes, the COE site has been updated if you haven't looked for a while: Also, note the entry:
  7. It's already been confirmed - flying before 7 November use COE, flying after 7 November wait until ThailandPass is live 1 November and use that.
  8. Glum, more like suicidal at the sacrilege ... vegan burger ... shoot me now! 555
  9. You don't have to be there for 21 days. "For returning Thais and foreign residents, it is not necessary to be in an approved country for 21 days or more, as long as they are travelling from Thailand to the approved country/s and return within the last 21 days." 2nd bullet, point 1: https://www.tatnews.org/2021/10/quarantine-free-thailand-reopening-for-vaccinated-tourists-from-1-november-2021/ Forget COE, it will be ThailandPass when it's live. Central website that routes the application to the relevant Embassy/Consulate. https://tp.consular.go.th/
  10. Personally never really had a problem as never had enough time off for it to be an issue (been asked to show a ticket ... 3 times up to now ... when I had one way into Bangkok but as I had flights with other airlines out I could show, not an issue). But, one trip, the guy at the check-in next to me was was kicking up a ruckus as I was walking up to my check-in. Last I heard as I was heading off was him loudly declaring "Satisfied now!" as he held up his phone so the check in dude could confirm he'd just bought a ticket there and then 555
  11. Yeah, fair enough, not the time to be messing around. Was just curious if they had asked for it and then accepted it based on being able to extend.
  12. Did you have to upload a return for the COE or did you just do it to be on the safe side?
  13. Tourist visa is different, you can even enter with a one-way ticket; no idea what the logic behind it is.
  14. Last time I looked into this (probably close to 5 years ago now) the consensus was MasterCard was processed on the day of the transaction and Visa the day after.
  15. Easier just getting a throwaway flight from one of the numerous sites out there to Singapore or whatever close country looks viable (costs around $10-15 depending on site). Land borders are still closed as far as I'm aware and pre-covid airlines could be a pain in the proverbial insisting on a flight out anyway. (Pre-covid it was never an issue with Thailand, it was the airlines covering there backsides, the issue only raised it's head now due to COE and from next week, ThailandPass.)
  16. No visa for entering visa exempt so obviously nothing to upload if entering that way, just choose it in the dropdown.
  17. I "believe" you'll have to show an onward flight within the 3o days - the fact you can extend has never been taken into account previously, doubt it will now.
  18. No, it's outdated - back to 30 days now and yes you can extend for 30 days (and before anyone else jumps in, it's visa exempt not visa on arrival which is a totally different beast).
  19. Everybody needs it regardless of visa (don't mix it up with the health insurance a Non O-A requires).
  20. "Thai Prime Minister, General Prayut Chan-o-cha, signed the entry guidelines for the quarantine-free reopening, published in the Royal Thai Government Gazette last night (21 October 2021) along with two other announcements on relaxed COVID-19 controls in 17 Thai destinations." https://www.tatnews.org/2021/10/quarantine-free-thailand-reopening-for-vaccinated-tourists-from-1-november-2021/
  21. I believe that's the main goal of the ThailandPass - show the QR code you get from it, they scan it, no need to check the majority of the paperwork.
