Fauci Diagnoses America: 'A Degree of Schizophrenia'
Bkk Brian replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Let me dumb it down even further: Your initial post: "That's the interview where Fauci finally admits that closing schools for a year during Covid was a mistake. It only took Mister I Am The Science 4 years to admit that 'conspiracy theorists' (and Trump) were right." You reference to Conspiracy theorists is nothing to do with the statement made by Fauci. That's you trying to make something of nothing. -

Still waiting for you to connect the below. "Anthony Fauci, who led the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases throughout the pandemic, said the decision to close schools was correct – but they should have reopened sooner." -
So you are saying this is not true? Columbia University Professors Awi Federgruen and Ran Kivetz have analyzed available data and conducted research whose “findings demonstrate that sufficient amounts of food are being supplied into Gaza,” they noted in a summary of their findings presented to The Jerusalem Post. https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/the-gaza-famine-that-wasnt/ Have you missed the UN report that confirms it? "The U.N.’s own Famine Review Committee admitted in a report that the claims about insufficient food being sent to Gaza were unfounded." Link in OP

Welcome onboard SK! South Korea Considers Arming Ukraine in Response to North Korea-Russia Pact SEOUL — South Korea said Thursday that it would consider sending arms to Ukraine, a major policy change that was suggested after Russia and North Korea rattled the region and beyond by signing a pact to come to each other’s defense in the event of war. The comments from a senior presidential official came hours after North Korea’s state media released the details of the agreement, which observers said could mark the strongest connection between Moscow and Pyongyang since the end of the Cold War. It comes at a time when Russia faces growing isolation over the war in Ukraine and both countries face escalating standoffs with the West. https://time.com/6990464/south-korea-arms-ukraine-north-russia-pact/

Israel is at War - General discussion (pt3)
Bkk Brian replied to Social Media's topic in The War in Israel
Report claims only 50 hostages in Gaza still thought alive United States officials estimate that as few as 50 hostages in Gaza are still alive, according to a report Thursday, confirming the worst fears of family members who say time is running out for their loved ones after nearly nine months in captivity. The assessment, based on a combination of Israeli and American intelligence, put the number of deceased hostages at 66, a far higher number than Israel has publicly confirmed, The Wall Street Journal reported. The Israel Defense Forces have confirmed the deaths of 41 hostages still in captivity, based on intelligence and findings obtained by troops operating in Gaza. https://www.timesofisrael.com/report-claims-only-50-hostages-in-gaza-still-thought-alive/ -

Like I said, no conspiracy theories. "Anthony Fauci, who led the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases throughout the pandemic, said the decision to close schools was correct – but they should have reopened sooner." https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2024/06/19/us-covid-anthony-fauci-one-year-schools-closure-mistake/ https://archive.ph/nlDpt -
So Israel was right to contest the reports of famine. ‘Multiple factual flaws’: Israel contests UN-backed report on imminent famine in Gaza COGAT says report relies on information from Hamas, grossly underestimates amount of water available; US official says famine ‘quite possibly’ in some areas of northern enclave https://www.timesofisrael.com/israel-contests-un-backed-report-assessing-imminent-famine-in-gaza/ "Now that the world has been forced to admit that there is no famine in Gaza, it has been made clear that Israel is letting plenty of food aid into the strip. Which means it’s time to admit something is happening to that food, and it isn’t Israel’s fault." https://www.commentary.org/seth-mandel/stop-pretending-this-isnt-happening/ The Gaza Famine Has Been Cancelled Unmasking the Propaganda Against Israel

There were no conspiracy theories around closing schools, it happened in most countries in the world. The fact that they are now saying it was a mistake to keep them closed for so long says what? -
Just one of many reports that some would prefer to deny: Just days after the first shipments of humanitarian aid arrived at the new U.S.-built temporary pier on the shore of the Gaza Strip, the project appears doomed to fail as Reuters reports that nearly 70% of the aid delivered so far has been stolen by Hamas terrorists. https://allisrael.com/hamas-steals-70-of-aid-trucks-cripples-deliveries-via-new-u-s-built-gaza-pier

Who was asking you to believe it on its own, there are two links there, the other quoting the State Dept. Did you also notice the link in JNS to the brand new UN report cancelling the famine? Or at least calling it into serious question? Why do you pick out the JNS as nobody should be trusting it on its own?

So if Hamas police are controlled by Hamas which we all know, why should they be trusted when they are accused of this? Its pointless trying to compare them to ancillary workers, Hamas police have guns, postmen do not. "From the start of the war, armed Hamas operatives have hijacked most of the deliveries, meaning that the aid goes to the terrorists and not to the civilians they use as human shields. While media outlets often note that Hamas is accused of stealing the goods, they generally put that down only as an unsubstantiated accusation from Israel and its supporters. Given the admission that the aid that was delivered from the U.S. pier is not getting to Palestinian civilians, there is no other remotely plausible explanation for this failure other than the fact that armed Palestinians are preventing it from being handed out to their compatriots who may need it." Why would the US find it legitimate to stop Hamas operatives at Rafah crossing? “One of the things that Israel said — which is very much accurate — is that Hamas [still] controlled the Gaza side of Rafah crossing, and Hamas was continuing to collect revenue from that crossing being open,” the State Department spokesperson explained. “So it is a legitimate goal to try and deprive Hamas of money that they could use to continue to finance their terrorist activities.”
