Ukrainians have been extremely successful at attacking and destroying Russian tanks. Not sure of the figure without looking it up again but over 2,000 of them so far. The weapons used are western supplied. Javilin, Stinger and NLAW. They are self guided to the target, you don't point at the tracks or anywhere else, just have the tank in the sights and it does the rest. They are designed to target the top of the tank as that has the least amount of amour. Russia does not have these and after nearly a year of this war still does not have any. Although they do have their drones which I guess will still be a challenge. Some of the new western tanks will of cause get destroyed, they will be in the frontline but they offer far better protection.
