  1. Not an issue for who? CO2 has never been higher for hundreds of thousands of years https://timescavengers.blog/climate-change/co2-past-present-future/
  2. You should ask Portuguese explorer Fernão Mendes Pinto who visited in 1545, he called Phuket, Junk Ceylon, not sure if he was still around on the 6th April 1562
  3. In December 2018, the use of marijuana for medicinal and research purposes was legalised in Thailand. What is out of date exactly?
  4. The attribute was in the post highlighted and underlined text, it links to here "Importantly, it must be noted that smoking of cannabis in public is forbidden. The penalty for this is a potential three-month jail sentence and 25,000 Baht fine. The new cannabis policies permit production and consumption solely for medical or health-related reasons; not recreational purposes." https://www.tatnews.org/2022/07/rules-and-regulations-concerning-cannabis-and-hemp-use-in-thailand/
  5. Probably the same way they know of the medical benefits? Or is that also something they know nothing about? Around 50,000 patients are legally allowed to use marijuana in Thailand as all users must have either a prescription or doctor’s certificate clearly stating the reasons for use.
  6. Yea the current policy being: "Importantly, it must be noted that smoking of cannabis in public is forbidden. The penalty for this is a potential three-month jail sentence and 25,000 Baht fine. The new cannabis policies permit production and consumption solely for medical or health-related reasons; not recreational purposes." I personally think that the likelihood of the new actual laws which should have obviously been implemented before this whole saga, will head for an explicit ban on recreational use, especially in light that this is currently in draft and todays announcement from the doctors: "Hundreds of doctors and alumni of the Faculty of Medicine at Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, have issued a statement demanding an immediate end to the recreational use of cannabis" That said, I'll go along with you and reserve the right to change my mind as frequently as necessary.
  7. I can do better than that: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temperature_record_of_the_last_2,000_years
  8. Didn't realise cannabis gave you a sudden urge to pick up a machete, thanks for the warning. I'll also ask a doctor friend whether he's spotted any yet.
  9. yep, even grade c maths should inform pupils that models are only as good as the data imputed. Fortunately the historical data on climate is well evidenced.
  10. "undocumented workers play a key role in California’s economy, contributing an estimated $3.7 billion in annual state and local tax revenues."
  11. I have in another field but nothing to do with science so irrelevant and I also never posted a claim that I did unlike you, if its a problem naming the science discipline, fine, there are dozens of them.
  12. No there were some press reports but no science to back it up: Global cooling was a conjecture, especially during the 1970s, of imminent cooling of the Earth culminating in a period of extensive glaciation, due to the cooling effects of aerosols or orbital forcing. Some press reports in the 1970s speculated about continued cooling; these did not accurately reflect the scientific literature of the time
  13. Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky says his forces are advancing "step by step" into the occupied southern region of Kherson. Earlier this month, Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minster Iryna Vereshchuk urged Kherson residents to evacuate the city as soon as possible to avoid becoming trapped in the city during a counteroffensive in southern Ukraine. Meanwhile, a senior defence adviser to Mr Zelensky claimed that around 1,000 Russian troops in the region have been encircled by Ukrainian forces. Oleksiy Arestovych said the Russians had been caught in a "tactical encirclement" near the village of Vysokopillya in Kherson oblast. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-62283196
  14. You may find that the parents of some of those children forcibly taken and who consequently died appreciate the apology.
  15. This is what you claimed: Like I said can you point me to a link that substantiates that claim that the deaths were due to the causes you mentioned? Did you bother to read the source report?
  16. He's a brilliant strategist: Months - 5 Victories - 0 Casualties - 15,000 up Russian soldiers dead Dead Generals - Lost Count Goodwill Gestures - 2 (so far) Kyiv & Snake Island Economy - Toilet Capital Ships - 1 fewer Finland & Sweden - NATO War crimes - Countless Genocides - In progress Odessa - Bombed
  17. You claim the article contains several mistakes, can you point me to a link that substantiates that claim that the deaths were due to the causes you mentioned? The article says: "Canada's Truth and Reconciliation Commission has reported that more than 4,000 Indigenous children died either from neglect or abuse in residential schools" Full report here: https://nctr.ca/records/reports/
  18. Sergei Lavrov, pathological liar. From the BBC article link above: Sergei Lavrov is trying to convince African countries that they are better off siding with Russia than the West - using phrases like "we'll help you complete the process of decolonisation" The reality of what Russia is really doing in Africa, murdering and raping, the same playbook as in Ukraine: Mercenaries from the Russia-linked Wagner group have been accused of raping moms in a maternity ward in the Central African Republic: report Mercenaries with the Wagner group have been accused of raping mothers who had just given birth at a maternity ward in the Central African Republic (CAR), the Daily Beast reported. Teenagers Say They Were Kidnapped and Raped by Putin’s Private Army It was Jan. 16, the day of an infamous massacre—first reported by The Daily Beast—when Putin’s private army slaughtered more than 70 people in eastern CAR CAR: Russian Wagner Group harassing and intimidating civilians – UN experts Earlier this month, a Special Commission of Inquiry set up by the CAR government to shed light on violence in the country determined that human rights and international humanitarian law violations have been committed, including by "Russian instructors." The experts also received reports that Wagner Group officers have committed rape and sexual violence against women, men, and young girls in the many parts of the country.
  19. I'm not a cannabis user but from what I read, the most popular method to take it is smoking, so this will be a a setback for the recreational users that rolled spliffs with tobacco. Of course its also possible to smoke it without tobacco, a traditional joint does not need to have tobacco inside, bongs etc. However below is the takeaway I'm getting from this law, recreational use remains illegal so the users are back to how they were previously. I totally agree by the way with medical use under doctors prescriptions/guidance.
  20. One of the International Schools here in Phuket, quite a large one, over 800 students has 80% of the school’s total consumption provided by solar panels. Great achievement.
  21. You're right there are no words left to describe the despicable acts being carried out by Putin and his forces. There is one thing to say about him though, he's consistent, I'll give him that, any deal or international agreement signed he soon flies his middle finger into the air.
