Pattaya needs leaders in power who make decisions anticipating what’s going to happen, not waiting until it’s so obvious (you’re forced) to make a decision.
An incremental response — adding new voluntary measures piece by piece — has been ineffective. Stricter enhanced measures are necessary to stifle the outbreak.

There are roadblocks, manned by police and health workers, in the Petchabun area, usually in the southbound lanes. All passengers are examined for a high temperature/fever.
I was questioned by hotel and restaurant managers expressed concern that I may have virus and questioned my nationality and when I arrived in Thailand. People are getting very scared!

Only masks in Pattaya are 159b or more. No masks for 2.5 baht in Pattaya!

There is a meeting planned for Monday March 16, to discuss the option to close all bars in Thailand because of CV19.
Bars in parts of Germany have already been closed, like in Berlin and Cologne

No masks in Pattaya. Please send at least 1 million masks to at least 200 different stores and ensure they are priced at 2.5b each!

That reservoir has been dug out so many times in the past, doubt they can go much deeper for geological reasons!
As you can see from the photo, much of that reservoir is only 1 meter deep.

I still see Arunotai school water the sports field. No regard for the water shortage.
Also, it look like that lake/reservoir has never been dredged. The surface area needs to be reduced to reduce surface evaporation and made deeper to hold more water.

Hopefully less demand for goods and service will lead to lower prices. I do realize that this is contrary to Thai pricing.
Phuket was the most expensive place in Thailand for accommodation and tourism.

Many stores in Pattaya have no masks and the Minister is thinking about exporting masks Thai produced masks to China. That's absolutely ridiculous!!
Release 50 million masks to Pattaya merchants now, out the 200 million storage!

it can get pretty bad.
it seems this outbreak will dwarf SARS numbers from 2003.
See post #9 for a forecast. Minimum 130,000 by 4 Feb. 2020, possibly as high as 270,000 by 4 Feb..
Some are saying it will be worse than SARS, and the Spanish Flu. The world has been over due for horrendous virus for decades. Maybe this is the big one.

Asymptomatic infection appears possible, no outward symptoms! That means the screening done at Thailand airports will not detect all infected people entering Thailand. This was reported in the South China Morning Post.

Should the epidemic continue unabated in Wuhan, there are predictions that the epidemic in Wuhan will be substantially larger by 4 February (191,529 infections; prediction interval, 132,751-273,649), infection will be established in other Chinese cities, and importations to other countries will be more frequent.

Now there is a rumour that China has engineered the virus to rid their population of old and infirm people in order to reduce the costs of health care and financial support for old people.
Releasing the virus just prior to the busiest travel season in China, Lunar New Year, so all areas of China would be infected quickly.
Could this be true?

You are in the "computer system" now. I don't believe anything can be negotiated, except with the Judge at trial, if you have a lawyer.
But give it a try. You have nothing to lose.
