  1. Since the 2014 sale of Chrysler and Jeep to FIAT jeeplike and other similar vehicles are now produced by BAIC subsidiary Beijing Automobile Works Co., Ltd. (BAW). Fiat-Chrysler plans to re-open Jeep production in China through a joint venture with Guangzhou Automobile Industry Group (GAIG). Wiki
  2. If you were to believe the media, you'd have to believe that hundreds of Thai people have suddenly taken to drink.
  3. Interesting that Koh Tao is not releasing figures. The nabobs on this island seem to be a law unto themselves. I'd like to know how many visitors to the island turn up rlsewhere with Covid. An overall view of Thailand shows the healthcare service is increasingly under stress due to hospital admissions for Covid. I'm sure many people are still very uncomfortable about visiting Thailand at all....least of all an island that isn't releasing their Covid figures.
  4. How many are being hospitalised, how is the situation re beds and people off work? Another matter for concern is the high numbers of infection and lead to variants. This could set the whole thi g back a year or more. Are the cases locals or foreigners or Thai visitors? Foreigners could potentially bring strains from all over the world.
  5. Probably not. The national numbers are the highest ever. However if restrictions are coming to an end then knowing how many have been reported on Samui is not that necessary. I think what might be relevant is how these figures affect people...visitors residents and expats. I can't travel easy between Thailand and Kaos yet and don't want to pick up Covid in Thailand. It will spoil my trip and of course restrict my travelling.
  6. Only a few months back, people were saying it can't happen here....they seemed to think they were somehow immune.
  7. What happens to tourists on Samui who are diagnosed with Covid?
  8. Think of the money you'll save on charging .
  9. You presented not argument at all...only several info graphics. These are worthless unless you draw some inferences or conclusions. You haven't done so
  10. Thai government has a 3 phase plan to encourage both manufacture and ownership of EVs.... as one of rhe top ten world motor industries they cat afford to miss out. Here are the latest measures... https://www.reuters.com/technology/thailand-approves-incentives-promote-ev-shift-2022-02-15/ PS I personally hope I will never be old enough to own a Mercedes
  11. "Correct"? That merely shows up the paucity of your thinking on the topic. FRANCE has for decades used nuclear power. Whilst some are impressed by its green credentials, others are totally opposed due to the disposal problems. You appear to be a google reliant one quote wonder.
  12. Here's an interesting dupion. A solar powered car that will run for MONTHS without charging.
  13. The difference between a skeptic and a cynic. A skeptic examines the facts to see if they support the argument. A cynic just uses negativity and cynicism to cover their in ignorance. You are no skeptic.
  14. I have to ask what you think you are implying....and I suspect you have no idea.
  15. This is incorrect and sadly indicative of the publics general misunderstanding of the problems.
  16. This is a typical single issue response not only does it not appreciate the whole situation but it doesn't even begin to consider what "enforcement" entails. It is NOT just a matter of getting the police to "do their job". It requires a total reformation of both the police and the justice system This would require major constitutional reform. It also requires a redesigning of the road system, markings and signage etc. The establishing of a new set of road safety laws and a national sea change in public awareness. Successive governments have chosen to ignore the advice of road safety organisations and by doing so, allowed the situation to get worse and worse. They are going down a road that is increasingly difficult to get back from. Failing to properly identify the problem just makes it worse.
  17. Your argument is about 10 years out of date. After all that has been said on this thread, it says more about your own understanding of the topic than what is actually happening.
