  1. It real, you doesn't matter that an Oz company sees a cheap deal..... at the end of the day what are they going to do with a battery company that can't sell to the EU...,,. Ship to the Australian market? (20 million) as opposed to the EU (450 million)? The government is desperate to patch up blunder after Brexit blunder....e.g. secret funding for Nissan..... how much will they put up to prop up this blunder?... anything to mask the inevitable results of Brexit.
  2. You can't take steps until you've admitted something is wrong
  3. What has any of that got to do with EU membership..immigration is up now..
  4. ...and heres another..... https://www.theweek.co.uk/business/companies/959438/britishvolt-how-britain-bright-battery-hope-was-zapped?utm_medium=social&utm_source=keywee&utm_campaign=wek-uk-paids-shared_article-202205-fb-reg-combined-business_hope_was_zapped&utm_content=--&utm_term=paid&kwp_0=2237448&kwp_4=6354249&kwp_1=2730023&fbclid=IwAR2p0qFZi4rJtEA1ODeSRUFejP7QgXjB1iGWDxu0gQsjEyTq1Oe_giw6pv4 Not only are exisiting companies leaving, new ones are failing even before they start - how can you competitively sell in the EU with VAT and customs in the way every hour of the day?
  5. That the UK will in end rejoin the EU is inevitable - how it happens and pace is the only stuff up for debate. There is no way any party can run the UK without closer ties with the EU which eventually will lead to a rejoin.
  6. It seems that applications outside the UK are going much quicker.
  7. What can you say about any government that is so frightened of opposition?
  8. Your classifications of riders as "careful" etc are purely subjective. So long as you talk about drivers and riders like that you are failing even yo begin to understand road safety. You still don't seem the grasp the paucity of the stats you refer to
  9. How can you be insured if you have never bought it?
  10. Your premises a fallacious from the start, so just about everything you say is nonsense. For a start you have confused ŕoad deaths with collisions then you just make false assumptions about drivers dividing them racially. You seem to have no idea about the causes of accidents You make no attempt to put your stats into context and then just come to a load of clichéed conclusions that you made before you bothered to gather the stats.. the result being you haven't looked at them objectively or even rationslly A sign of a bad motorist is someone who blames everyone else but themselves and misuses stats to support their own prejudices.
  11. February 24, 2021 PBS "Former cabinet minister Suthep Thaugsuban, was sentenced to five years in prison by the Criminal Court today ."
  12. Shows how you can misinterpret statistics or just not get it.
  13. basic misunderstanding of road safety there - it is a failure of the road environment - drivers are universally the same - unless you believe in a racist interpretation.
  14. I guess to someone who comes up with a comment like that, everyone else must look like an "expert"!
  15. I thought he got a 6 year sentence just over a year ago???
  16. I gives one hope to see the youth of Thailand bravely standing up to the men in grey suits.
  17. I think people who use the word "expert"show distinct a lack of critical thinking abilities
  18. I'm not making a diagnosis, I'm wondering why they didn't use tissue adhesive - You don't seem to be able to answer that? My experience of stitching and sutras in Thailand is that they are somewhat behind the times and leave unnecessary scarring or get infected..... - I'm sure the doctors who did it would be able to justify it.....but whether the same procedures would have been used in a western hospital is questionable . There is a concern with people who have medical procedures in Thailand that they consider them to be "100% successful" and are delighted with the results but they never consider if those procedures were the most appropriate for the problem they had.
  19. The Statsure policy was less than 200 quid.
  20. Why do you ask? Do you think that is relevant? Are you - what is your opinion?
  21. BTW - warning about the standard of care. Would you accept that kind of stitching/sutra a in a "Western" hospital? facial injuries are cosmetically very sensitive - will she be "scarred for life?"
  22. I rang Staysure: yesterday and asked about cover for injuries from M/C/ rental They said they would cover you if You have. FULL licence. - obviously and then they said it must be no bigger than 125cc This represents a problem as many step-throughs rented in Thailand are over 125 cc these days and it is quite possible that renters will not know or be informed of the size of the engine. E.g. - the Yamaha. Nouvo - the standard version is 110 cc, but the liquid-cooled version - which is almost identical is 135 cc This bike therefore would be covered by Staysure and also not by the "A1" category on the IDP. I imagine that other insurance companies are the same - I know some don't allow M/C rental at all. If anyone knows a travel insurance that does include M/Cs larger than 125cc?
  23. how do you think the politics in the UK justify or mitigate the situation in Thailand?
