Yes you had to have your hat on to read this convoluted story.  I'm a bit confused also.  so is the son the second fins failed finish?  This woman sounds like a doozy and her family sounds like they're in on it.  what was the second fin doing building a house for them?  

I have taken 7 trips to Thailand  and VN in last 3 years. 150 + days.   Never  deterred  by any woman.  Maybe that's because I'm not caught and married yet.  Kids on their own, retirement near, what else is there in life besides sex?  

I dont think it's so easy.  Glad all you married guys living in Thailand were successful  but for a guy in USA  it's not so easy unless woman has money and good looking life in Thailand.   3 gals got it but they  had income , either lots of money or debt and  good jobs or retired  government.  Last one no.  No debt  but less than 100 k savings amd no assets.

I think USA  needs to become  as hard on thais and all visa overstayers as Thailand has done.    Thai people are not refugees or asylum seekers.

You very ignorant and maybe you need to go see a doctor.  It wasn't infection.   It was a parasite.  I had a buddy who had a similar  life  experience.  He competed in China.   Many doctor visits but finally  he self diagnosed and found as doctor who would listen.  Some rare parasite that  western doctors never learn  about. 

I used to read these pages and have kept up a lot because I've been running an old Droid turbo 4 year old model that just can't keep up with all the apps and it's constantly full of pictures.  I have been paying the warranty here in Utah with Verizon so I have got a couple of new phones in the last year, the same model unfortunately. The first warranty phone had as bad a battery life as mine. the second one I had a battery that last most of the day but it's front camera is all full of dust just not very good for line conversations. Plus it locks up all the time and gets hot and time for new phone. I'm not one who always needs the latest and greatest and one problem is trying to buy a phone that will work for Verizon. Anyway I thought I would update everyone and say I bought a used S9 plus yesterday in excellent condition for about 11,500 baht. It came with the cordless charger.  Boxes.  I am pretty sure I am going to enjoy the new cameras and this phone is going to be so fast compared to my old one I think maybe you could consider this a mid-range phone and the price isn't too bad compared to what you guys are buying. I watched eBay and you can even buy brand new ones for about 12,000-12,500 or so

4:30 am means no traffic.  One needs no data except a drive up that road to see death is a high risk if there is much traffic and poor lighting.

When people ask me about Thailand and say they want to go someday I tell them the beer is the same price or more than bar here or a grocery store here and it tastes like shit.  I tell them the beaches are disgustingly filthy they cannot believe how much trash the hotel staff has to clean up the beach everyday or it looks like a garbage dump. I tell them a scuba diving has been destroyed and overfished.  I tell them the place is overrun with Chinese tourists groups who speaks so loud.  I really wished I would have travel to Thailand 20 years ago because there is no doubt I missed the good old days. Chinese just started coming to Thailand they say only 5% of Chinese have passports.  well I think Thailand has basically burned their bridge with the Chinese because social media is how things work now and I'm sure many Chinese are relating horror stories.   Greed and corruption.  

My experience is 3 Thai women got 10 yr visas pre tRump  but one was rejected last September 2018  I've read they only give out 10 year visas because  reapplications of shorter-term visas were too much work load for the government. 

Yes there was a difference in the last woman than the other 3.   The first three all owned houses.  One was a teacher with lots of debt and two children.  One had hiso connections, kids,  and money.  One was retired nurse with money, no kids.   The last one has 17 years at one company, no house or  land, no money, no debt, is very attractive. In all four cases the fact that they knew me in America was kept secret.  On this last case I may have made a mistake when I paid in person for the application fee. The bank made me sign the receipt which you take to your interview. So if they looked there was an American man's name having paid for the application.   The last ones English skills , while decent , were the least of the four.   I really do think looks have something to do with it.  

But some rat traps.  I see the wire metal box traps for sale at many stores.  Or the glue pads.  Google rat traps.  It's fun.   I ate rat near udon thani.  I guess it was a real delicacy.  I grossed out on the tail bits. It was cooked in a stew.   Skin still on and bones.  I watched the road side lady take the rat over to the hot coals and burn off the fur.   I rather eat than insects.  I guess many people set snare traps on rice paddies near harvest time for extra money.   The Forest rats fetch top $.

it turns out it was only two people, one , a customer who happened to be at her work when I stopped by one day  to take her for lunch.  This women  had three children from a Thai man.  They are now divorced.   but I guess earlier she had an American man who sent her 30 to 50 thousand a month.  Evidently he was smart enough to dump her before marriage.  And one young coworker who isn't really friends.  So it turns out it is really not her friends or coworkers or family.  Just this a couple with possible pasts  as sex working gal.

I don't want to start sending her any monthly amount.  We have already talked about a prenuptial agreement. We have talked about sin sod and of course all Thai women must dream of the moon for face. she mainly wanted so much to make her mother happy but when her mother said she did not want any then we settled on something that would look respectful but not bother me very much.  But this thread isn't really about my relationship or if this woman is good or not. 

SenorJorge , I can see how you were scammed by a factory worker many men have been scammed.  sorry about your best friend tomorrow is a new day and maybe someday you will get back on the horse and find a wonderful woman for the rest of your days don't give up.  My thinking is enjoy each day and hopefully they are good and if things go bad you find something better. 

She is different than anyone I met. Good in some ways but also stubborn and set in her ways like some have expressed over 40 women can be.  Could I have fun with 25 yr olds on my visits?  Maybe but I never sought out such young. I rarely went in any bars in Thailand.  When I did go into crazy house of course I saw some beautiful young women and mothers.  but just like my home country I don't date those kind of women.  

The main point I thought that this thread would make is that Thai people only value foreigners  for 2 things: their money and if they can get them out of Thailand to their home country where they think life is like candyland.

I come back and did not expect three pages so quickly.  I've been to Thailand many times I'm not a newbie don't have pity on me.  I'm the most skeptical analytical suspicious man there is.  I have read about all the tricks in the book.  I do not send her money monthly. I have bought her a few gifts and brought her some gifts and paid for an English class. I have seen her five different times in the last 18 months.  She has a regular job in the medical industry not high up in the pay scale but not the poorest bloke in the world. She has no debt, but also no assets. She is over the hill , over 40,  but still very beautiful and unbelievably I was her first boyfriend. Don't give me the lecture it may or may not be true but it doesn't matter to me.  She does not go to any bars, her friends do not go to bars. I know the advice is to rent not buy. I'm only 58 and a half. I could easily come to Thailand and have fun for 5 years and then still find a nice young woman but I feel this one is special and I'm not getting married yet.  Time is on my side no rush.   I can understand why a man who cooks and cleans

I've met many Thai women before her.  She is special.  We met outside emporium.  When I saw her I just had to go talk to her. Then a few days later I went to her workplace. and after 3 weeks of travels around Thailand  and I came back and asked her on a date.  She has never been on a dating site. 

But this really isn't about me and her or prostitutes or women on the take.   If she's on the take she's in the long game looking for a green card in the USA or something.  I consider myself  a above average poker player.  

It just seemed weird to ask how much does your Foreigner boyfriend send each month?  It's like a measure of how good of a boyfriend did you catch.  Why don't they ask how good the sex is or how nice he is or something else?

Pitch is very important to me as well as the seat padding in the front if seat. I'm 183 cm but must have long femur's.  If my knees touch the seat in front I'm in for a bad flight.  I wish as consumers this information was required to be listed prior to booking.    I try to get the e exit rows but then if plane is near empty you can't raise the handrests to lay down.  

I just recently had a trip to Thailand and back to America and I did have an Airbus leg and 777 or 787 flight. I wish I'd kept track down the exact numbers.  I flew on China airlines but I normally fly on Korean airlines through Delta and those are nice planes that seem to have pretty stewardesses as well as comfortable seats. I wished I could fly in those bigger seats up front it's actually disgusting that we all don't have the exact same seats.  It basically flaunts the rich right in front of our noses I guess my mistake was not being able to afford $5,000 airfare. 

A famous nude yoga girl recently posted pictures nude on beach in Thailand.  She posts from all over the world.  She is beautiful and the pictures are not sexual.  She is trying to change how people view nudity.  Bravo 

Take ear plugs into that Thai nightclub in kK near thepullman hotel.   If you stay in that hotel don't stay on the side away from the main road .  2 years ago there was a house party below that vibrates the windows on the 10 th floor until 4 am .  I saw two farang in the club by Pullman. If band is good it is packed at 11 pm.  Just follow the skirts.   I don't see how you pick up a woman in a noisy club like this when people just party and drink so much and dance around their own table.  Not a real safe feeling alone in a club like this.  Seems that's just drink.  Hard to think Thailand is poor with so many buying bottle service.  I say use a dating site and line up some scores before you travel.  always works best for me.  Be ruthless and have two lined up to go on a coffee interview in the afternoon and then decide which one to meet again.  Many have cars and will drive you around.  It may be good to know the bus stations and schedules so you can bail out on a chick and go to UT. Or bail to KK.   I thought UT had potential but the nutty bar area is a sad reminder of what good old days must have been like.   I have heard first hand from a local UT lady that some uni girls a quite eager for sponsors.   There is even a list if you know contact.   

I think most of you underestimate how few people it would take to develop a land based rail gun to penetrate a ship in the straight?
