  1. Thank you for all the comments but I am still a bit confused. CBD is different from THC but they bind to the same receptors. CBD oil can, apparently, be extracted from hemp plants and has near enough zero THC but this is not 100% clear to me. Many THC cannabis products are listed as 20-22%THC, 25% indica 75% sativa, for example. Does this kind of information exist for CBD products? What does 'full spectrum' or 'extra strength' mean?, for example. I don't understand why Thai CBD oil products would be untrustworthy. There seems to be more than a few professional looking Thai producers of CBD oil (with zero THC) which is legal in many countries now. I take CBD oil sub lingual, under the tongue, by 5 drops onto a small spoon and inserting into the mouth under the tongue and let it be absorbed there, not in the stomach. It is unclear to me what gummies are and how to judge their strength. I do know what gummies are, it is how to understand the contents and strength etc. is what I am commenting about. Here are the products that I have tried. Ganja oil is Thai govt. issue @ 200b. Buriram has established a number of cannabis clinics at selected hospitals and may offer more consultation that I have looked for. Next visit I will ask about externally applied products for inflammation etc.. I cannot imagine applying an entire 200b bottle (let alone those much more costly) of ganja oil to my shoulder or knee. A couple of members have commented on making their own THC and CBD oil which has left me with even more questions. Whether CBD oil compliments THC effects is, apparently, controversial as both bind to the same receptors and I cannot pretend to understand the nuances at this stage of my learning curve. I listen to a podcast 'Huberman's Lab' and he discusses cannabis and many other subject that influence us and our well being. (Andrew Huberman, Ph.D., is a neuroscientist and tenured professor in the Department of Neurobiology, Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford School of Medicine.) Thanks again for all your comments. What a lot of information to try to untangle.🤯🙏
  2. I have used Thai Govt. DTAM Ganja Oil @ about 200b for 10mg and no name full spectrum CBD oil @ 600b for 10mg.. The ganja oil works a bit but is not strong. I gave a friend 5 drops and her very serious menstrual cramps disappeared moments later(!) so it does work for some. The full spectrum stuff works more(?) but it is costly and do not know what it is. What are the classification terms that are 'official' and can be trusted please? Who controls what the product is classified as and to what its strength is please? We see % levels of THC along with the % of S&I content so why are there not some better indications for the components of various CBD oil products? What is Government supplied Ganja oil btw? Is it made from a particular species of plant or what? Is there a place to locate producers/suppliers of CBD oil where the quality is assured and the prices fair and realistic please? Thanks very much for any comments.🙏🙂
  3. What a harsh comment mr breez and you are mistaken about the possibility of some persons in government who may well push for recriminalization of weed and hemp products. Whether just flexing political muscles or blowing hot air, this possibility has been raised numerous in recent months. Hence the need for reporting as seen by the efforts of george a few hours ago. Thank you very much for that information, btw, george.❤️🙏
  4. Re: Russians investing in a country. Just look to London England for lessons on letting Russian influence the laws of the land. What is the source of their wealth? Who are these foreign nationals moving into Thailand with their families forever? Circumventing the law with fake DL provided to foreigners too 'something' to take a driver's test. The roads are dangerous enough w/o the added pleasure of effectively unlicensed drivers joining the fray.😡🤮🙏🏼 https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100093512834119
  5. On the subject of breathing, this fellow popped up while I was finding the Huberman video. Who would have thought? As Wim pointed out, we have been doing it all our lives. Even with my limited experience I can feel a change in me when I sit still and breathe.🙏🏼🤯
  6. Thank you very much Sheryl and Brahmz, I had not thought about meditation in our local wat as being non secular and this may open some possibilities near to home. My Thai family are active at the wat and will explore that possibility. Thanks for the various relaxation descriptions Bramiz; I will make an effort to sit still and read them (555). Thanks again. The notion of controlled breathing being central to most forms of meditation is very interesting. A person who I follow, Dr. Andrew Huberman, spoke about breathing on this YT video. At about 1 minute he starts to talk about physiological events that take place while breathing. 🤯🙏🏼🙂
  7. Thank you Sheryl, I had not considered the option of entering a Wat for 10 days and will tuck that into options for the future when I am further along in my learning process. My religious leaning favors the Neil DeGrasse Tyson school of thought regarding invisible beings that somehow figured significantly in our creation and ongoing existence. So I am not really very interested, at this point, to seek an enlightenment with belief in a deity of some sort is a requirement for participation. Do you know if the World Federation of ADHD has a presence here in Thailand? A Swedish friend, with whom I am just beginning to exploring the world of adhd, is a certified PAAC coach for this condition. You can pm me if you are interested to learn more (I will ask her b4 sending on her details). Thanks again Sheryl, this is going to be a bit of a long journey and I will be seeking more information from this forum, no doubt.🙂🙏🏼
  8. I would like to contact any person, groups offering training in Yoga Nidra meditation and other meditation techniques. I have adhd and have been prescribed ritalin, which i take 2x every day I would like to explore other options for living with this condition and apparently meditation can help. I live north of Buriram city and can travel. If there is anybody in this area who is a trained adhd coach I would like to hear from you please (and thank you). Although very much an adult, I have only recently been diagnosed so this is a steep learning curve for me. Thanks for any comments🙏🏼
  9. Thanks Sheryl and oldschool and thanks very much OS for describing me as coherent. Here is a comment about ADHD sufferers being able to laser focus/function re subjects that interest their minds. I started a business in the UK and employed many persons. It occurred to me, (having read many studies), that the persons who I wanted to contact for work would have a limited window of attention. So I decided to restrict every letter of introduction to one page. We were involved in unusual methods of access to carry out civil engineering projects so an accurate, clear description of our services was of paramount importance. That meant every sentence had to contain words that were most efficient in their meaning without becoming incomprehensible, which can be easily done by a word cutting master like me. Virtually every written word is reviewed and considered multiple times and spell checked; even today while posting these thoughts here. It is of great interest to me to efficiently communicate by the written word so I do it. It can take hours... My home here was built in manageable chunks that held my attention and material fetching took care of my need to be on the move. Lots of errors that could have been avoided, however, and it is still disappointing as I know better than to have let them happen. I am (only) a time served qualified Canadian carpenter which I w as able to accomplish in manageable chunks with credits received for apprenticeship work in Quebec, California and Calgary. I have also successfully taken innumerable courses in construction management, safety, strength of materials, taken courses at universities etc. etc.. All fairly short and to the point. I have had people working under my direction both as a site superintendent or employees since I was about 25. This meant that dipping in and out of the details that interested me has been pretty easy to do while maintaining overall management control. As mentioned previously, I exhibit all the symptoms except, hopefully, I do not talk over others in conversation. The reason that I would like a test is to confirm this condition to myself and others who suggest that my self diagnosis is invalid. There is no question in my mind that I suffer from this disorder. A podcast called Huberman's Lab has some very good posts about ADHD even though mr Huberman has some controversy circling around him. Will close now b4 another hour is claimed by one more sentence. 555. Thanks a lot for your interest; it is helping me a lot. 🙏🏼🙂🤯
  10. Here is more information about probable ADHD and me. I took a reading comprehension test when I was 5 or 6 or so. There were 3 paragraphs. I can still see myself reading the first paragraph and being anxious, or something, I skipped to the 3rd, knowing at the time that I should read the second too. I got all the comprehension answers correct except those contained in the second paragraph. I knew that I should have read that paragraph too and did not know why I did not. I was a bad boy and punished for being overactive for my entire school 'career'. Now, when I am interested in something it is full steam ahead until I lose interest and the project comes to a screeching halt and I cannot continue without superhuman effort. Normally I just let it slide. Thanks again for your comments🙏🏼
  11. 05 05 2024 I just saw a TEDx talk about an adult woman who discovered that she has ADHD. What she experienced fit me like a glove (she said this too). I believe that I suffer from this problem and have clear early childhood memories of being inattentive and was punished during my entire school experience. (I am not stupid, btw). In the weeks since I self diagnosed, many of the characteristics, such as being a poor organizer, forgetfulness, morning fatigue and other symptoms, (except impulsive talking over others in conversation,) are clearly experienced by me. I just turned 76 so I can accept that some of these symptoms could very well be age related and or exacerbated by age; but my clear childhood memories seem to contradict this. I understand that there are comprehensive tests where this disorder can be confirmed or otherwise. I saw a physiatrist at a main Thai hospital and she prescribed Ritalin 10mg which I am now taking. She took me at my word but did not do any testing of any kind. My limited understanding of the discovery - treatment process leads me to believe that there are officially recognized tests to determine whether the disorder is present and if so the level of seriousness that is experienced. I do not have medical insurance here so a lengthy battery of tests would too costly for me. Anyway, I don't think a deep dive into my consciousness is warranted just for confirmation of a condition that is experienced by 10-15% of North Americans (I am Canadian) running to 10's of millions of sufferers there. Equally, if I do not have it, the discovery could point me in a good direction to correct my forgetfulness, impulsiveness and other symptoms that I do have. Any ideas of where and how I could take such a test in English by a qualified person please? I would happily volunteer if a researcher needed me for a study or any other way that I could be tested that would not be prohibitively costly. Any comments will be gratefully received. Thank you very much in advance🙏🏼
  12. I get DTAM GANJA OIL from a government hospital in Buriram. It costs about 200 baht for 10mg. It seems to work but is so mild it is hard to really tell. As in; I was stressed b4 3 drops under the tongue and now I don't feel stressed. the oil? passage of time? comments? I use 5-8 drops with a small pipe of gelato b4 sleep and I go to sleep. I also had purchased some full spectrum CBD that seems stronger and certainly smells stronger; it cost 650 baht for 10 mg. What is the difference between full spectrum CBD oil and DTAM Ganja oil, if any, please. Comments on price of CBD oil please. I have read that using CBD oil b4 smoking weed can enhance the high. Any comments? Thanks very much in advance.🙏🙂
  13. Yes Mike L, I will now but the email help address does not appear on the spotify account page. The only help offered is with pre determined questions. The address came from an online search. I also tried to update my card details on my paypal account and have the same problem with them. Let's see how it goes. Thanks for your interest🙏🏼🙂
  14. Thanks Mike Lister. A new card has been logged onto my spotify account as designated payer for my individual premium account but the payment will not go through due to 2 tier confirmation process. Is it possible to suspend this confirmation process for a short time just to get the payment through? Thanks🙏🏼🙂
  15. This contact information eventually appeared following a general search online for it.
  16. Contact Spotify Email us Select Send email, or reach us at support AT spotify.com.
  17. Having occasionally enjoyed the company of Swiss Nationals during decades of skiing at French resorts favoured by them. I can say, therefore, with authority that some Swiss people are very nice and that some are complete tw*ts and believe that the world should move out of their way; thus enabling them to enjoy their activities uninterrupted or intruded upon by lesser beings.🙏🏼😡🙂
  18. I replaced my misplaced card for a new one exactly the same but cannot change my payment details on spotify. I suppose it would be the same for any card payment requiring an sms or some other bank confirmation process. Cannot remember how this unfolded when I set up the account in the first place; it was a while ago. Spotify has embraced the 'no help' help department so the pre determined questions do not fit my circumstances. I have the account; they just will not allow me to update my payment method. I tried to update my paypal account with the same results. I have tried 3 debit cards and a credit card from 3 different banks with the same response. Thanks in advance for any comments.🙏🏼
  19. I get this (costly) stuff from the dermatologist at the hospital. Excuse me for being dumb (as in stupid) but I thought urea means urine. Immersing myself in pee does not appeal but if there is a derivative that helps this aching body of mine I would like to learn of it. Thanks. 🙏🏼🙂
  20. The local manager refused to consider issuing either w/o being married. It has had a disastrous result as I am now married to a narcissistic monster 😥🙏🏼
  21. Pretty clever there drgoon. What will become of me now that I have been exposed? 555. The shop is D.D. btw, just checked the photo. It is 250/hr, 400/2hrs, + tip. There is another called 'Relax spa etc.' just across the tracks and a bit east (north side) that is very good and has upmarket environment for about the same price.🙏🏼🙂 Both of these places have Thai customers of every persuasion and I rarely see a western person there. Relax closes at 19:00. can find both on G maps🙏🏼
  22. I have some friends who have suffered bad surgery results and it always saddens me learning about them. A German man I know had his hip replaced and they neglected to make that leg the same length as the other. I remember the surgeon personally measuring my legs and commenting that he would be correcting the slight difference in length with the operation. Here is a picture of my knee today. The staple photo is posted above. I was interested to learn about plasma ultrafiltrate from Mark Nothing. Where is this product available from please? And can you provide a bit more information about how all that works please. (a very quick look on google did not produced a description of what you describe). I use a skin moisturizer called Urea 10%. Is there any connection? Thank you🙏🏼🙂
  23. Thanks for a normal comment Barnet1900. Never connected the not rub to a massage but can be why I recommended DJ's opposite the hospital; aside from it being a good way to wait for the afternoon session at the roong pa ya ban. I have the dubious honour to be in the possession of a number of sports injuries so having an 'oily back rub down' does not do it for me. Neither does a 10 minute 'head scratch happy ending'. I enjoyed many hours of 're-education' (as they say in France). It is such a welcome event to find any shop that approaches and/or equals the same skills as those physio therapists dedicated to helping people being able to function again. My happy ending is walking out of the shop feeling rosy with joints approaching fluid movement for a while. 🙏🏼🙂
  24. My house book and pink card required marriage in our amphur of Ban Mai Chaiyapot, Buriram even though I have an usufruct and all receipts for the buildings that I put up and paid for. Bad trade, as it turned out.
  25. Decades of skiing in France ate the cartilage in my left knee. My replacement was done by a surgeon in Annecy who only does knees. (I had paid an extra surcharge of 500 euros for the special 'sport surgeon/anesthetist team') (Most of my friends have had a new knee, many have 2) French healthcare provided 21 days of inpatient 're-education' at a special hospital in Plateaux d'Assey. I did not appreciate the importance of getting more than 90 degrees bend (mine is about 135) and I learned about the joy of being able to climb stairs and the fear of not. Many people find their knees blocked at less than 90 deg. and must engage in painful maneuvers to try to unblock it or have another operation. I saw one lady in Krung Tep who was told to stay in bed following the op and now has a straight peg leg type of affliction ever after. I was up and walking a day or 2 later but was cautioned about over use as the surgeon had packed the cut with painkllers b4 stapling it up(!). The joint has no problems for me but the op involves yanking the kneecap out of the way while the replacement is being fitted and this has had some lasting numbing that occurs on my lower leg (I suppose). This op was good for me but the re education is essential or you will be disabled for life. Cannot stress this enough.🙏🏼🙂
