why do you make ugly comments like that?

Aside from going there whenever, those of you who go to Govt. hospitals know that sometimes the process stops for lunch b4 your turn. The shop pictured below is on the road just beside the Govt. hospital in Buriram and is a great place to be until lunch break is over. All persons are qualified (certificates posted) and the shop is clean and they change the pillow covers. 1hr 250 baht 2hrs 400 baht. And they continue for the full hour (or longer). Massage well done.🙏🏼🙂

If you can get a Non 'o' a visa (the a is important) insurance is not required and for now lasts forever. Without the 'a' the base retirement visa apparently expires in 20 years. There are some rules that I don't know much about that restrict what kind of visas are issued in different countries and in Thailand. good luck🙏🏼

Great 3BB deal 500mbps cont'd, Speed test - 3BB app
notrub replied to notrub's topic in Mobile Devices and Apps
OK, so the test I just did was on my acer swift X laptop with a ryzen 7 processor. Wireless connection. Windows 11. The point is trying to figure out about internet speed purchased at 1GBPS but only providing 340 MBPS. How can they sell it if they cannot provide the full 1 GBPS speed?🙏🏼 -
Great 3BB deal 500mbps cont'd, Speed test - 3BB app
notrub posted a topic in Mobile Devices and Apps
Further to great deal 500 mbps; I did a speed test on my 3BB + Norton VPN service. I am in Buriram province in the rural north. My 3BB service is the 899pcm version. 3BB no vpn 340 MBPS 3BB + VPN +Thailand 19 MBPS + singapore 220 MBPS + seattle USA 30 MBPS So, it looks like having the possibility of 1GBPS service is let down by the actual speed provided by the server. Is this correct? If it is correct then there is absolutely no point in paying for for high speed service that they are apparently unable to provide. Comments?🙏🏼 -
Here is an interesting debate from 8 years ago with notables such as Stephen Fry and Ann Widdecombe(🤮). I know it is about the Catholic Church but it does address the God issue too. Very entertaining. Especially the end vote🙂🙏🏼

How difficult is it to get a divorce? (continuing saga)
notrub replied to notrub's topic in Marriage and Divorce
Yes TBL I never owned the land (well spotted). I gifted her nearly 500,000 THB used to purchase the land and in exchange I got a usufruct contract. I have spent the last ~ 8 years improving the land and constructing the various buildings and paying 100% for all. I had thought that I was going to live here forever. My now wife was a non participant and I was too focused and busy to notice. You are right about the 'good luck getting rid of her' as the land is in her village of birth. I don't quite understand the 'using them to have a happy life' comment. My 'Happy Life' for the past years has been spent as a general contractor w/o any help from his partner (now wife). The only comments I got were after the work was completed and they were suggestions as to how much better it would have been had I done something or another a bit differently. After no comments when asked for pre-construction suggestions. btw- Her family are brilliant and this could be one reason why I did not realize what a lazy person she is. She owns the land and the usufruct expires when I die. The condition of the buildings, pool etc. and their contents/equipment when she takes possession will depend on her. I own everything on the land. I will be seeing the lawyer (John Spooner, Isaan Lawyers, Korat) next week and will post the results. My question will be: Just how much grief, emotional and financial, can she cause me? Thanks for your ongoing interest in my dilemma.🙏🏼 -
I would like to buy a Galaxy A54 5G which comes in at ~12-13,000 baht. I have a bunch of old samsung phones. I plan to switch my 3BB account to the 500mbps and get a second sim card with that package (thanks GammaG). How does it work to trade in a phone with AIS or any service provider please? Is there a cheaper way to get a hold of an A54 5G other than Lazada or Shopee? Thanks in advance for any comments 🙏🏼

How do you find the 500 mbps up down as a internet service as opposed to 1 gbps for private use? I found this 500mbps plan on FB as someone pointed out. I found the promotions from AIS to be confusing b4; now with 3BB added it has got worse. Is it possible to somehow combine a trade in your old phone and new subscribers' special offers? I saw this post a little late as I just bought one of the AIS Fibre 3 offers at 200 baht pcm. So, with the 500mbps @ 699 I save 200 baht over the 899 1gbps plus 200 for the fibre 3 that I have mistakenly bought and will now discard. 400 baht pcm is not a bad savings in these difficult times. How about trading in an old samsung S8 for a new samsung galaxy a54 5g? Are there any offers on that do you suppose? Thanks🙏🏼

I had thought that I could walk away from a woman I mistakenly married last year but it seems to be not so easy. I hear that some Thais marry several times in a village ceremony or something. I have heard that divorce can be as simple as both parties going to the municipal and declaring there desire to be divorced. But I also hear about people getting taken to the cleaners. I just want a simple solution . We were married at the municipal in Buriram city properly witnessed etc.. We live 90km north is a small rural village. Looking for some expert advice and/or comments please to prepare myself with the right questions before the first meeting with the lawyer (whom I already know). I have a prenuptial and a registered usufruct on the land that I had purchased 8 years ago and gifted to her. I own all the buildings etc. on the land and I have the right to use the land for my lifetime. She will get everything (millions) on my death anyway whatever our marital status. I have a house and a fully equipped guest house. My wife has been sleeping next door in the guest house for over a year. It looks like she has no intention of going anywhere else for the moment; we are in the village of her birth and she lives like a princess (her latest crochet is always ready to go). She thinks it is ok to look online for a 'New King' but if I simply speak to a woman in a friendly way the roof come down. (I was alerted to the attached by a friend). I am finding that some women that I have spoken to will not continue even talking as friends after reflecting on my marital status. 'She could sue' is something that I have heard. Sue who and for what? I have helped her and her family over the years to the tune of ponds dug, farm cabins built, wells bored, nieces educated, small fleet of motorbikes bought and a new car for her (off the top of my head). I also built all these houses/pool etc. that will be hers on my death. I stopped giving her 5000 baht a month pocket money some time ago when she complained that it was not enough. Her family are very nice btw; it is only she who is a lazy, incurious, stupid narcissist. Yes, yes; the name is Sucker - not Tucker. But she has gone too far now and I must escape. So help me plan to get rid of her please. I just realized that as I have an usufruct on the land and I own the buildings; I don't have to go (duh) even if she is next door. But it seems that I do have to divorce her if I want to make any new friends who are female, even if they are in another area far away. I am 75, btw, do not drink and really would simply like some more friends and a simple life. Thanks in advance for comments.

I was driving too fast on an empty road in the early hours of the morning, sun was up. There was a windy bit down south heading north from Phuket and I just took a straight line across the bends, no other cars is sight, and bingo there was one of those radar units overhead. I am pretty sure I got zapped going much much faster than the 50 km limit through those bends. I know I was wrong. I see on a schedule of 2023/24 fines that speeding gets a fine of up to 4,000 baht. Is that it? Can there be of something more severe? Thanks in advance for any comments 🙏🏼

Hacked LINE account, how to block access by another
notrub replied to notrub's topic in Mobile Devices and Apps
Thanks northsouthdivide. will blocking my partner from LINE remove her access to my account? Could I just block, or something, all but the friends who I know for sure are ok? There are many who tried to join me, or something, by phone number. I have unticked that option but there are lots there. Why do they do that? Is simply blocking them enough? I have had my current phone number for 8 or 9 years. Must I change my number to secure my LINE account. Little used but very useful when it is. Thanks again for your helpful comment.🙏🏼 -
Thanks connda, really interesting. Have you tried any melatonin products from china? There are lots of listings on ebay for this supplement, available in various strengths. The Iherb site I found is UK and prices in GBP. It is cheaper than Lazada for Doctor's best B12, for example, but the shipping is a killer. (I get it about free shipping with min purchase. Just a comment about smaller orders.) The Thai supplier of CBD oil noted by me in earlier post offers their product in different level of strength. I use the Thai Govt. product that seems only to be available as it is, no stronger versions that I am aware of but it works for me. Apparently CBD can be extracted from hemp so it has virtually 0% TCH. I am not an expert, this is just what I have read. Thanks exfatriate and connda for reminding me about melatonin and similar supplements.🙏🏼 All the Chinese melatonin

Hacked LINE account, how to block access by another

Thanks Chris Daley. If I don't use 'chat' how do I message friends please? I am clearly a novice with all this spy stuff. Thanks. 🙏🏼 -
exfatriate, Have you tried CBD oil ? I know about melatonin and other similar supplements and use the ones appropriate for me. However, CBD is different. see attached. It is available online ( https://optimanatural.com/). Depending on your location and circumstance you may be able to source the Thai Govt. version at your local hospital. It is called DTAM GANJA OIL It is about 200B for 10units in a small bottle with a dropper as it is measured by the drop for use. For me it is 1 drop to calm (not sleepy) and 4 drops at night to help sleep. Zero THC so no probs driving etc.. I am familiar with meletonin and like it but this is a different thing altogether.

Hacked LINE account, how to block access by another
notrub replied to notrub's topic in Mobile Devices and Apps
Thanks Nemises. The person I am intent on leaving (when I figure out how and when) has, in the past, gone on a sex holiday with an Australian met on line and has, more recently, been looking for a 'New King' on a Thai dating site. Both forgiven in the mistaken effort for harmony and continuation of a life heavily invested in; emotionally and financially. I have got millions invested in my home and contents built on land that I paid for (500M B land only) and supposedly protected by an USUFRUCT contract. She is a narcissist who is also lazy and (no disrespect intended-description only) is incurious and stupid. Boring to the nth degree. So, still looking for comments on how to protect my privacy please and thank you.🙏🏼 -
Hacked LINE account, how to block access by another
notrub posted a topic in Mobile Devices and Apps
My wonderful wife has managed to hack my LINE and seems to know details of my chats. I have just changed my password and have blocked her using the app option. Will this be enough? I am not really experienced dealing with this sort of thing and do not know what to do to stop her. YT has a post stating that there are leaks in the LINE app but these instances seem to be a bit complicated to access so may not apply to my (soon to be x) partner. I do not have a huge list of contacts on LINE so a new account and notifying those on my LINE contacts could be ok if I don't inadvertently open the new door for my x. Also, is there a way to know if a person has been blocked by a LINE user? As in, will my x be able to see that she is blocked? Can I determine if I have been blocked by another? Any comments will be gratefully received with thanks. 🙏🏼 -
Thank you sateuk, 'nakon air chai bus' has great reviews. Multiple depots (departures?) noted on name google map search. Thanks again.🙏🏼

long term parking options for Don Mueang AP (1 month)
notrub replied to notrub's topic in Don Mueang Airport Forum
Hey Toby! I am old enough to remember the days of 427 Chevys and big Dodge Hemies offering 5 or 6 miles to the gallon so watching the needle stick on 'F' km after km gives me much pleasure. 6L / 100 is at speed(ish) btw. 4 or 5 / could be had with eco set and a light foot.555 yourself🙂🙏🏼 -

Thanks NanLaew, for an expanded review of Denim's suggestion. I have found the reference on a FB post from 2019 reference, thank you Denim, the price has changed a bit but what a great idea. I have searched https://www.airbnb.com/ and there are many options within minutes of the AP from 11,000 baht for 30 days (parking, pool, and all usual amenities included). That gives more options to consider as AP parking is 7500 in the garage. I know that there are issues with airbnb regards housing shortages in the west but feel ok about it here in Thailand. Not same problems. Thanks a lot for these ideas.🙏🏼🙂 -
long term parking options for Don Mueang AP (1 month)
notrub replied to notrub's topic in Don Mueang Airport Forum
Thanks Ben and Denim. I have done the drive/hotel/fly option during covid and it is ok but not needing the room for more than a night makes the whole process of arrive, check in and out almost as bad as the connecting flight process. For this domestic travel I am going to try driving down. My car is a Toyota hybrid and I use 6L/100km so 300km is 3L x 6 @35B = 630 THB minus 3Lx1 @ 35B = 105 THB. so 630 minus 105 is 525 fuel cost difference. I know this is silly and does not reflect the true cost of driving but you did ask. 555 Thanks very much for your interest 🙏🏼 -
long term parking options for Don Mueang AP (1 month)

Well Crossy, do you have a shady corner in your yard that you might want to rent for a month? Taxi to DMK ok?🙏🏼 -
long term parking options for Don Mueang AP (1 month)
notrub replied to notrub's topic in Don Mueang Airport Forum
Thank you for the link Crossy. Is it 250 B a day minimum whatever parking area used? Are there any off site park and transfer to AP services available? Any of the parking offered recommended please? Fly down option is more costly (4600 vs 2000) and is much longer (6++ hours connecting vs 1.5 hrs from DMK to Surat direct). Fly down arrives in the late afternoon in Surat with ferry ride ahead = very late arrival in KP. Drive+fly arrives Surat in the morning = normal ferry connection and afternoon arrival in KP. If I leave home at midnight (or later) I should easily be at the AP for a 0700 flight having driven 300 km on empty(ish) roads. I would have had to drive/taxi about 100km to get to any local AP anyway as we are pretty far from any of these facilities. Thanks again for comments.🙏🏼
