What possible reason would the government have for allowing health care for foreigners to use government facilities at a cheap price? Foreigners need to not be a burden on the State. Why should we get subsidized health care? Even if we paid full price, we are still taking up doctors and nurses time that could be spent on Thai people which is what these hospitals were meant for.
Still living up to your name, I see.......
I use Government hospitals regularly, and will continue to do so.
They are not especially meant for Thais, although many use them for their 30 baht health care scheme.
I pay for everything I am treated for, at a fraction of the price, in comparison to the private, money making hospitals, and am not a burden on the state.
I really do not understand where you get your beliefs from ?

Maybe I could start a thread on "why do those that move back to their countries, come on here frequently, bashing Thailand, and people who choose to reside here ?"
Does it ring a bell ?

Just speculation on my part but I would bet 95-98% used the letter. It was required, and anyone that actually put 800K in a Thai bank just for that purpose would be ignorant IMO.
LOL.
You think I'm ignorant !
I am not fannying round, looking for ways to get my next visa. ????????

Log into TV everyday, and tell us people who live here what a mistake it is staying here, and how your home country is 100 times better, and you don't know why you bothered coming here in the first place !
A few gems (????) doing that on here everyday,so you won't be on your own doing it.

A lot believe they are infallible. As (they think) they are the best rider on the road, a hell of a lot believe they will never be involved in a serious accident.

If you could afford it, you would not mention something so petty as the cost of a mango
A dragon fruit in Florida USA can be USA $4 each. (130+ thb)
Who cares if you can afford it.
People only brag about how cheap life is in Thailand because they cannot afford anything else
Studio condo? How old are you 20?
People only brag about having money.........................when they don't actually have it !

The golden era in my home country, England, passed well before it did in Thailand.
For me, Thailand is the better option, by a country mile

Spending striker money on a centre-back. The shame !
When we spent centre back money on a striker (Mo), it sort of evens itself out ! The pride!

yeah, i absolutely <deleted> hate our owners. all that money available this summer and they can't give it away. or perhaps don't really want to.
coutinho's sadly just turned out to be another footballer. i don't blame him for wanting to play for barcelona but don't hand in a transfer request on the day before a new season kicks off you w*nker. and his bad back conveniently looks like keeping him out of the hoffenheim match too so he's not cup tied for the champions league. fancy that.
Even if he plays in the Hoffenheim game, he will not be cup tied for the group stages.

There is one standard line missing from the report,
"The school director was unavailable for comment"
Disgusting behavior, and he should be dismissed from his position of authority immediately, and dealt with by the courts.

However, Weerachai said Priyanuch seemed to be unable to adjust her sleep patterns as she used to work at night,
She was probably used to sleeping with only one other person in the room.
Now she will have to get used to dozens and dozens in the same room each night !
If health insurance becomes mandatory ,what then?

The big one is pre-existing conditions.
I arrived here in 2005, aged 45, and paid 22,000 baht to one of the big insurance companies here, for insurance, subject to a medical. After being sent to the most expensive private hospital in the city where I live for the medical (basically a blood test), I eventually received a cheque 2 weeks later for 20,000 baht (yes, 2,000 baht for the blood test !) with a letter declining insurance. Despite several phone calls from both myself and the agent, they declined to give me a reason.
