  1. would likely have to call tourist police first...sorry dont know the 911 here in thailand-- and have them help. i seriously doubt they would understand a foreigner giving directions. the one and only time i called any emergency service here no one spoke a lick of english
  2. jesus h... where you been snowgard? nextG been stuffing that down our throats for 2 days now. you can debate this with nextG i am sure he will be more than happy to insult you or call you names cos he aint gonna agree
  3. Just wondering cos non of this has been addressed as far as i can remember, will he be able to get his seat back in his party?
  4. over the top as always 30 yrs here? go back home, you been here too long. or maybe go back trolling on teekboor. you would fit right in
  5. not that i agree, or like @Celsius at all, but you lou... all you do is bai, and attack other people here on AN. how long you been a member/in thailand? member : 2 years thailand? who knows judging by your psyche here bub, me thinks you are the type who kicks puppies when you get home
  6. there we go. that all assuming nextg who gets all emotional and puts words in peoples mouths. there there nextg dont lose any sleep over this. just because you know ALL the details of this story doesnt mean everyone else will. some of us have a life that doesnt include trolling all the gory details of AN. woops... gotta go have a life to get back to... will let you troll a response Next
  7. by commenting on this is pita hoping for something from the puke thai? they clearly are not his friends. seems to me he should not show his hand until all is said and done. the reason puke thai is in power now is cos mfp showed their hand on the lese majeste law too early. we learn history in order not to repeat its mistakes, dont we?
  8. and the german guy is going to do jail time and is being chased after by big joke for sleeping with a 17 year old prostitute.
  9. for most of us here, in los, we shake hands back home. i don't shake everyones hand, it always depends on who they are in relation to me. here, in los, i actually had to take a waiing class as part of the induction at one of the schools i worked at. so, no i do not wai everyone and how high i put my hands together to wai depends on who i am waiing. when i see my elder neighbors i always wai them just like i would shake hands back home. other than that, if someone younger politely wais me first i usually wai back. if i meet my wifes family and they are older i will usually wai first. i dont usually wai people in the service industry rather, as i was taught, i will politely smile back. it really isnt easy to know when to wai and who to wai. had i not had a class on this i also would prolly be confused like my friends who visit here and wai everyone they see including their shadows. for me a nice wai is like an honest handshake. you can tell a lot from a handshake and from a wai
  10. totally agree with you. i think it is a woke thing and all this pronoun crap going around. sometimes there is no reason to have anyone kissing hetero/gay but the tv gods just have to slap in a sex scene. for me sex scenes are just filler scenes to make sure they match the network time frame. if anyone wants to see sex there is plenty of it on the internet... tv gods should stop ruining good movies and tv shows with both hetero/gay scenes. but i gotta say... sorry for this i do respect same sex relationships, seeing 2 guys go at it really turns me off what i am watching. overall... too much sex on the screens and not enough story
  11. this is a fact. just like the north american natives
  12. i guarantee you that at the primary level they can. they just dont want to cos it makes them work. another problem, and for some reason it is even worst with foreigners, they could hire a tutor, but they just dont want to pay. also, many just cant afford it. one thing i did notice is that asians hire tutors way more than us farang.
  13. gambling is a real bad addiction.... no doubts about that... it tears many families apart and for some reason asians really love it. in canada (i can only speak for canada) the casinos are filled with chinese way more than caucasians. however, this damned dowry thing is kind of archaic. as far as i know, it usually is given to the groom so he can use it to found his family. i dunno, but is it popular in other cultures to give it to the mothers? in this case, it is probably better that it is not given to the groom... he would just squander it away on gambling anyways. of course i could google it, but does anyone know off hand?
  14. totally agree... but must not forget the parents who dont get involved in their kids education (checking on homework, explaining concepts kids dont understand) and who are quick to protest if their kids get in trouble or get poor scores. education belongs to society and all must work together to make it work
  15. and some here were criticizing the guy who posted looking for a tutor uni graduate but not from rajabat. the issue is that most thai teachers working in schools now never followed a single class in academics. the new generation has to have a b ed in education but this has only come about in the last 10 years or so. back in canada no one is supposed to teach unless having undergone a b ed
  16. it is and that is all there is to it. trudeau wants 500 000 immigrants a year but he wont help the homeless and right now there is a crisis like none ever seen in canada. are you canadian? if you know something i dont please share
  17. this just goes to show how much you know about thailand. you hypothesize a sum but offer no way on how they can collect it. wake up bub, this is thailand and no way the grieving taiwanese are gonna get compensation. stick to what you know even if that might be difficult for you
  18. just a follow up. i started ozempic around 2 months ago and have already lost 6 kg. i can now see my feet...555 seriously, it works and costs 7500 bht at gvt hospital
  19. a newly arrived bleeding heart... 'oh the poor thais' give it a couple months, or years... if you last... have problems at immi like most of us long term expats here... get scammed by cops in a car accident or... just maybe or... nearly die going to a hospital... unfortunately the poor taiwanese had to die and find out the hard way how thailand works. by my guess you have recently fallen in love with some thai guy or girl and still have you UV pink lense glasses on... newbie
  20. love you 2baht. maybe some day we can roll a big fat one and toke to the health of all the AN members... respect
  21. dude, i just finished writing my reply to this 8ball... you pretty much said exactly what i said. this guy has no life, and all he tries to do is find 60 new ways to skin a cat
  22. thanks for your support. unfortunately, you are that bad. 90% of your posts here are inflammatory against other members. sure, some people enjoy comments like yours but unfortunately they are in vain.
  23. dang... is that with the finger gauge? mine are 89-93. sometimes i am lucky and hit 96... i have copd best of luck... you mentioned 'air purifier'. Dyson makes some of the best, but they are pretty expensive. we bought on ebat from the usa and had to buy power converter, but they work very well
  24. what is your problem with @Purdey expressing his opinion of the thai education system? dont you follow the news? thailand ranks way down at the bottom of the pit. you dont think that correlates with the quality of the teachers and education system? bleeding hearts as yourself become utmost tedious at all times. it is what it is, innit?
