  1. I would go for sand and cement because not that adhesives are bad but they can lose strength in time when exposed to the weather. Whereas sand and cement has proven to be a durable option.

In the end I went with sand and cement plus adhesive as I felt without adhesive it lacked a little stickiness.
I actually stuck a couple down with sand and cement only and then about 3 days later pulled them up and felt that they came up very easily, of course could have been they hadn’t bonded properly or I’d put them down too wet or too dry etc.
From what I’ve seen Thais will use sand and cement for the floor and adhesive for the walls ? But I could be wrong .

Bit of a learning curve for me, but am glad I did it .
Got another 75 sqm to go down but I’ll get someone in I think !!

    Here’s the finished product.

  2. Thanks for that. In my experience when I've looked at ship from abroad items there was no COD allowed.

Yep, not sure what the ratio is.

Usually when I’m searching I use the filter for local and COD , if no joy, I “ unfilter “ local but always pay COD.

  3. I think items that ship from abroad don't do COD. I insist on COD so I'm not ordering from abroad anyway. Still a black hole with my recent package. It's not even showing that it's going out for delivery any longer. I know from experience that when they leave a card the tracking site says carded. I don't live in a difficult address either. I really needed the item so maybe it's time to order from any vendor. That's the beauty of COD anyway. No money out just aggravation.

Lazada do ship from abroad with COD options , haven’t done it personally but am looking at some items from China right now .
Don’t think I would do ship from abroad if no COD available though.

  4. If I know I will be leaving the country twice in the next year, can I get Two Single re-entry permits rather than a multiple re-entry permit?
The cost would be 1800 Baht less.

Sure you can, but you would have to travel before you buy your second one.
I.e. you can’t buy two at the same time.

  5. Viz, what a great comic that was. Very apt for the times.

Remember that Farmer bloke in it?

    "Get orf moi laaaand!"

There were so many funny characters in it, can't remember most of 'em.

    ...what was I saying....??

A buddy of mine named his band “ Billys Fridge “ as a tribute !

    I liked “ Top Tips “ , always practical advice [emoji51]

Back on topic, here’s something from way way back , when “ moist” was not even funny [emoji16]

  6. Well I thought it had been quiet !!

You’ve not missed much on TVF , it’s been a typical week so far:

A couple of farang popped off .
A Thai wasn’t happy so murdered his wife and most of her family .
The usual number of people died on the roads .
Oh, and Brexit has gone totally pear shaped now !!

    Sooo, a typical week really.

Only thing of any concern to the world’s population is an esteemed TVF member uncovered a shampoo scam involving a huge number of people and an equally huge number of satang !!

But, seriously, glad to hear you are out of danger and feel well enough to grace us with your presence, and excellent humour, to cheer up our humdrum expat lives !!

Take it easy, lay off the fatty foods and the excess boozing .

Take a stroll around town when you’re up to it and make use of that camera !!
Look forward to seeing the results in the various photo threads.
