  1. Nope, used a PEA Volta this morning in Hua Hin .
  2. Changan releases the price of 3 new EV’s for Thailand ( additional models for S07 and L07 ). This is a new and very recent offering, personally from looks alone I would go with Neta V ll , this Lumin would go down well in Japan though. https://autolifethailand.tv/official-price-changan-lumin-ev-bev-thailand/
  3. Not to be confused with the Pontiac Firebird , much loved by some …. well 1 …… on here !!
  4. So, here’s a little video about OTA updates and what to expect if you have not experienced it before. NOTE: this is Australia so is a couple of months after us here in Thailand. The version number is more advanced than ours but I believe that number is date based so while might look like a newer version is possibly the same as they don’t appear to be getting anything above what we already have.. Thai version 2310 Aus version 2401. https://youtu.be/pwta4gemmDs?si=LFzNYXDuhGp31wwu What might be interesting to some Seal owners is the Aus owner doesn’t want to side load any third party apps so he uses a CarLink Kit, looks very neat and nifty device which would be ideal for anyone wanting to have other apps ( google maps, browser, Netflix, YouTube etc) without any possible warranty issues. I am assuming these boxes will give access to more apps than Android or IOS , I don’t really know. Anyway , starts around the 6.00 minute mark for anyone interested.
  5. Correct, just some Canuck thinking they invented the language .
  6. Are you talking about the alleged EV fires or the infrastructure ? I don’t believe you know the meaning of the word !
  7. That what I thought, am sure I saw someone in Australia do it on an Atto 3 but couldn’t find it. For the unitiated: V2L and Granny chargers are supplied FOC with EV’s , V2L enables running electrical appliances from the car and Granny chargers allow charging from a standard socket which is on the V2L cable.
  8. Currently Bidirectional Charging or V2V ( vehicle to vehicle ) is limited to some vehicles but is high on the list of improvements for ev’s. https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/bidirectional-charging-and-evs-how-does-it-work-and-which-cars-have-it/
  9. or someone could give you some electrons via the charging port .
  10. If it doubles or triples then no there will not be enough charge, but if you put yourself in that situation where you let the battery charge get down so low without covering the eventualities then you probably deserve to get stranded to teach you a lesson for the future. As an aside , the same scenario could arise in an ICE car and probably has on more than one occasion.
  11. As often stated on these threads ev’s aren’t for everyone, if your circumstances mean you don’t have easy access to a charger ( home or office) then you should consider the inconvenience you are prepared to experience if buying one ( although a weekly trip to a nearby pump or mall would be sufficient for most people). If you travel regularly long distances and are worried about excessive time spent charging or lack of chargers you should consider this also ( even though I find charging infrastructure more than adequate and after a few hours driving i am ready for a bathroom/meal break while charging ). I can charge my EV every night if i wish waking up with 100% battery and a 600 km range, paying 2.6 baht a unit/kw , i can set the timer to charge as much or as little as i like , obviously those with solar benefit even further. Some foresight is required to avoid any complications but with many ev’s having > 400km range and LFP batteries ( top up to 100% daily with no degradation) then it is only common sense to avoid leaving yourself short. If you are interested in purchasing an EV and come here for information to help you decide then welcome. If you come here to discuss the pros and cons of EV ownership to assist others decide then welcome. If you come here, despite knowing very little about the subject, and just post negative views, despite often unfounded, because that’s what you do on most threads here then you need to seek help.
  12. Seen two people in my moobahn walk their dogs on a lead (+ 1 cat ! ), one is an overweight Beagle who gets a brisk walk/jog most evenings , the owner carries bags and a bottle of water to wash down any car wheels used as a toilet. The other just uses the facilities/bushes close to his house, don’t think he picks up. Don’t get stray dogs in the moobahn but have seen a couple of turds in the road , one right outside our house this week, suspect someone’s dog escaped for a break or visitors thought it okay to let pooch relieve himself anywhere. Our neighbour had an old “ Golden “ for many years, the owners worked every day and Goldie would attempt to cover the carport floor every day, don’t know what he was eating but the stink was atrocious. I would love to have dogs but don’t think my circumstances are suitable , if I lived in the sticks i would have a handful for sure. Currently have to get my dog fix with the mil’s 5 “ outside “ dogs ( not sure where they do their business, never seen any) or walking Toby, my daughter’s dog, twice a day when i visit next month. Even in the U.K. there’s lots of offenders despite warnings of fines and abuse from passers by if you fail to pick up but the moorland area near my hometown is disgusting, a council bin reserved for dog waste rarely gets emptied causing big overflows and often see bags hanging from trees or bushes, locals reporting tired of having bags thrown over their garden walls. Thankfully ( not for the dog's sake ) Thai are not in the habit of exercising their dogs, imagine the mess if they did walk them religiously !!, I suspect the number who pick up would be very small. Only my opinion but dogs in moobahns are not practical, unless they are small like Yorkies or Frenchies or bigger breeds are exercised regularly, picking up after them of course.
  13. Take care, I hope things turn around and you can get yourself a proper place.
  14. A quick swipe down from the top of home screen should tell if is connected .
  15. Then you don’t have the latest version which includes: Browser Karaoke Manual Ability to close Daytime Running Lights AVAS button to turn off pedestrian warning sounds ( maybe other things I don’t remember ) Some software tweaks. Nothing earth shattering but maybe the tweaks are worthwhile and I think you already have AVAS ? Seems strange that they haven’t updated your car yet. When I received mine on Nov 30th it was already 2310080.1 and 14 days later I received the update to 2310180.1
  16. mine started off with a red dot on the bell icon ( top centre of info screen )as it was uploading then moved to a red dot on the car settings icon ( bottom right of screen ) when ready to download. I heard that the update numbers 2309, 2310, 2401 ( AUS ) and the previous version 2307 ? are dates of when the update was created, presumably in China. When I received my car , Nov 30th, it had this version 2310080.1 and the OTA set it to 2310180.1, a small change. So, going by that @JBChiangRai I would say you are behind, do you have the browser and karaoke ? ( swipe left from Home Screen.
  17. I would say no, 2310 seems to be the latest here, here’s mine: some differences with the FWC, Dyna and OSD software versions also but I have no idea what any of those mean !! I redacted a couple of numbers, seen others do it 😀
  18. Let us know what you think, no IMDb rating . Connor McGregor and Post Malone also in there, unfortunately no Jeff Healey .
  19. Yes !, the rollers are the ultimate test but who has those ! I suspect there will be a few AWD owners demanding answers from their dealers after the videos. Would putting it on the lift and raising a few inches not enable you to check if all wheels are being driven ??
  20. If you watch the two videos you will see that the car is only driving the rear wheels initially despite ITAC and snow mode enabled. After the update by visiting BYD techs AWD is enabled. The question now is how do you know your car is enabled ? I would suggest finding a suitable gravel incline, enabling ITAC and snow mode to test, if in doubt visit your dealer. Hopefully the dealer is aware of any such update.
  21. 2310 here also . I think down under they were late getting their first update, don’t see anything on there we haven’t had for a while.
  22. Season 2 of Outer Range, starring Josh Brolin starts May 16th. “A rancher fighting for his land and family discovers an unfathomable mystery at the edge of Wyoming's wilderness.” imdb 7.1 https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11685912/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk I thought season one was good and ended with more questions than answers, hopefully season 2 will shed some light on the mystery.
