Teachers and sometimes the Police outside my sons school watching young kids on motor bikes and parents with no helmet, no action taken. Over the W.E. they have repainted the red and white crossings and put more Road markings down outside the school, no idea why as I doubt the majority of drivers don’t know what they mean.

Why You Should Get a Thai Wiil.
Jumbo1968 replied to Jumbo1968's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
If the condo complex owners find out she is not the legal owner they will take it from her. Speaking with his daughter today she wants it legally to be signed over to her, I wish her the best of luck. -
Why You Should Get a Thai Wiil.
Jumbo1968 replied to Jumbo1968's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
His family haven’t been in contact for 20 years with him, and already said no no intention of coming to Thailand and currently not going to fund anything. Their attitude I believe is the fellas girl has the Studio Apt for free and that’s it. -
A colleague passed away very suddenly last week,he didn’t have a Thai Will, some thing he was always talking about but never got round too it, tbh he appeared to be in good health, he owned a Studio Apartment which he said he would leave to his Thai partner not married of 20 years. He has a U.K. daughter and son, they won’t be coming here, they hadn’t been in contact for years, they said his Thai partner can have the Studio Apt. The Tabien Baan has no ownership name in it but there were documentation in the Apt when he bought the property. He had only a few thousand baht here not enough to cover the funeral costs, he is currently in Bangkok undergoing a post mortem, his Thai partner wants him bringing back to Pattaya for a proper cremation albeit she says she has no money although she has family who I am sure would help for the cremation. His daughter has documents to complete so as and when his body is released decisions can be made about his cremation, she was advised by The Embassy don’t send money to people here as you don’t know them. A bit long winded, the moral is get a Thai Will made, you just don’t know what’s round the corner, now it’s big mess leaving his affairs to be sorted here and in the U.K., in fact I don’t think he made a U.K. Will either.

Yes there was the very odd occasion it took a day but usually in seconds until 2 weeks ago. The frustrating thing is when you contact WISE their answer is transfers can take 1-5 days, no reason why they are not going through to BB in seconds yet they do with my Krungsri account ? -

The issue appears to be with Bangkok Bank only, my transfers to Krungsri go through in seconds, Bangkok Bank transfers are taking days. -

Huge new casino opening on Beach Road Da Nang, Chinese owned, I would think there would be a large influx of Chinese tourists. -
Short Trip BKK-Vietnam
Jumbo1968 replied to baansgr's topic in Visas and migration to other countries
We were there a couple of weeks ago, no visa required but be prepared for long queues at immigration then your baggage scanned when you leave the airport as well meaning another queue. -
Take a photo then use Google translate to find out.

Economy Vietnam Tourism Threat Looms: Could It Overtake Thailand?
Jumbo1968 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I have been to Da Nang and Hoi An for the last 3 years, no piles of garbage or rats, no idea where you were staying. Scooters do honk their horns as do car drivers to warn you, or they are approaching a junction. As far as the Police were concerned I never saw any, we were involved in a minor road accident in a taxi, no Police involved, drivers sorted it out amicably. -

China are investing in Vietnam as well, building a huge hotel/casino in Da Nang. -
Economy Vietnam Tourism Threat Looms: Could It Overtake Thailand?

Just returned from Vietnam our 3rd visit, fast developing around Da Nang Beach only downside will be the Chinese are building a huge hotel complete with a casino. Vietnam where we were Hoi An and Da Nang were both cleaner and brighter than most places in Thailand. I found most spoke English and were more approachable. I think down to the fact they haven’t as yet had the multitude of tourist Thailand has. The majority of tourists were a lot younger age group than in Thailand as well. -
I wouldn’t recommend buying from a market stall, the vision in both eyes might be different like mine is,. I use Pattaya Optical on Pattaya Klang who have an Optometrist, not the cheapest but a proper eye test.,Eye test is free if you buy spec,s great selection of frames. I have also used Euro Optics in Royal Garden Plaza, she is also an Optometrist, not a great selection of frames though.

They gave the wrong prescription, it’s a very basic eye test as well.
