  1. The Car Rental companies got rid of their cars during Covid and now can’t get enough to supply the demand.
  2. We flew back May 2021, 777 from Schipol, less than 20 on the plane the crew outnumbered the passengers, there was a problem with the aircraft, the pilot came and addressed every one personally. On speaking to one of the cabin crew I asked why they bothered flying when there was no demand, he said they were full up with freight and made more money on freight than they did on passengers. We eventually had to change aircraft, thought no problem only 20 people nope they transferred all the freight as well, delayed for 3 hours. i might be wrong but wasn’t crude oil around $150 dollars around 2008 ?

  9. In my sons class at school 5 pupils have gone down with fever, they wear masks in the classrooms only removed when eating food. So the masks haven’t stopped the fever spreading in the class ?
  10. I agree but I copied and pasted what the article said, not OA/OX just Extension of Stay, I think if was correct there would have been a load more response.
  11. It was in an article on ASEAN News, I deleted it, the heading was Embassies won’t pay for hospital treatment or similar, I copied the wording from the article.
  12. The Thai government has announced that, with effect from 1 September 2022, yearly retirement visas (minimum age 50), issued by embassies abroad, will require US$3 million comprehensive medical insurance, but with a separate facility for self-insurance. It says issued but Embassies, don’t Immigration issue Extension of Stay ?
  13. If you go to the U.K. Gov. website there is a list of documents required, quite a few more than just the Child’s Thai Birth Certificate,
  14. You can register in the U.K. even if born in Thailand providing you have the relevant documents.
  15. I countersigned U.K. Passport forms online for a friends kids, I was emailed by the Passport Office to verify I had known the kids, from what I remember they accepted my signature for the first child, renewal but rejected it for the second one for some reason, it was his first Passport. The same friend went to VFS Global in Bangkok to get his older son a U.K. Passport, he forgot to get the photograph and form countersigned, fella in the queue signed them for him, received a Passport.

  19. If you are planning to travel in the next few months a Thai Passport, usually mailed to you after 4/5 days after applying and apply for a visa, British Passports are taking 10 weeks plus, We applied to renew my sons U.K. Passport the first week in March, still waiting for it be returned. I would wait till he was 16 years old and then he can get a 10 year U.K. Passport.
  20. My Thai partner says not all Healthcare is free for Thais at Government Hospitals apart from having a kid, I was always thought apart from the 30฿ fee they didn’t pay anything. The reason I am asking is her friend has cysts on her ovaries and said she would have to pay for treatment even at a Government Hospital ? My partner has not worked for 8 years, her House Registration is in Issan, we live in Pattaya, our son has been in hospital in the government hospital in Pattaya for a few days with chest infections when he was younger, House Registration in Issan, no cost apart from second time when the bed available was in a VIP Room which we had to pay for. Top and bottom would my partner have to pay for any healthcare or being hospitalised.
