  1. We’re any selected for a random Covid test ?
  2. If the car is registered they will know who the owner is ?
  3. I worked in Kaz, Kazakhs tend to be more different facially more so their eyes, a bit more ‘shanty’ with out being too rude.
  4. You mean Bolt, regular taxi is cheaper.
  5. Rules a bit different from Thailand but still a few hoops to jump through, https://www.solicitorsinspain.com/articles/living-spain-after-brexit
  6. An Entry Authorisation is required, ETIAS, https://www.schengenvisainfo.com/etias/who-needs-etias/
  7. The galling thing is U.K. Passports are made in Tczew, Poland I believe, the actual personal details are added in the U.K.
  8. Always use the Thai when I am with my Thai lady and son.
  9. Because you probably submitted your PP details when you cashed it in or the Pension company informed HMRC.
  10. I do my tax online, HMRC are aware how much my State Pension is and how much my private pensions are, I don’t have to inform HMRC, they issue a tax statement informing me how much tax the private pension company has to deduct from my private pension. If I have any additional investments I have to inform them by completing a tax return.
  11. No one receives more State Pension than their tax allowance, the U.K. State Pension is that poor. the equivalent of around £4/5 an hour.
  12. If you only received the State Pension with no other investments you wouldn’t pay tax on it, there will be a 10% increase this year due to the triple lock, unfortunately that decreases the amount left on your personal allowance meaning you wil pay more tax on you investments.
  13. HMRC will be aware how much State Pension you receive, your tax allowance means you should not pay tax on it albeit I don’t know where you stand if you live in Thailand permanently.
  14. If you are over 70 years of age you can use the Fast Track lanes at the airport.
  15. The whole sale gas price is at the same level or less than before the Ukraine conflict, I appreciate it takes time to filter through, will the price come down when it does.
  16. I agree, haircuts went from 80 to 100 now 150, businesses have to make money but that’s a big percentage increase.
  17. Why, are people paying an agent to arrange a Driving Test when you can do itself for free ?
  18. Do you mean an agent to ‘obtain’ a licence with out taking the test ?
  19. Crossed 3rd Road in Pattaya, earlier, lights in my favour, motor bikes ignored the red light then again how can you deduct points from a licence when the driver doesn’t have a licence ?
  20. If a driver of any motor vehicle/motor cycle etc is stopped the afore should be impounded and only be returned when the owner shows a valid driving licence.. Same with some not wearing a crash hat, they are driving illegally therefore the bike should be impounded. In the U.K. when a vehicle is impounded there is set time to recover it, if not it’s crushed.
  21. The business is currently still trading, the manager who did most of the leg work is running the business, she has been there 15 years.
  22. For some reason I am not receiving by email the daily newsletter from ASEAN Now, anyone else having an issue ?
  23. I had already booked Saturday and Sunday night at a hotel on Koh Larn a few months ago, This week I thought about adding Friday night, I contacted the hotel on Thursday, the hotel said they were full. I enquired with Agoda, yes there was a room 8000฿ for the night !
  24. You can introduce as many laws as you like but if they are never enforced what’s the point, 100% wearing of crash hats is never enforced as is mandatory insurance and driving licences. My taxi driver got hit by a scooter, substantial damage, scooter driver not insured therefore she has to claim from her own insurance company.
  25. So you would not stop and possibly run some one over, do have the same philosophy at traffic lights ?
