  1. The next day, after the protesters had failed to prevent the certification of the election. All Trump had to do was send out a tweet calling off the attack on the Capitol. All he had to do was tell his supporters that he hadn't meant for them to actually fight their way into the Capitol and prevent Congress and Make Pence from doing their jobs. But he didn't. He waited until he was sure the coup attempt had failed before doing anything that would discourage the insurrectionists. Trump attempted to prevent the certification of the election. He attempted to prevent the peaceful transition of power for the first time in US history. He attempted to overthrow our Constitutional democracy. And you support him. As I've stated before, Trump supporters are not patriots.
  2. The civilians broke so many other laws the Justice Department is struggling to keep up with properly identifying and prosecuting all of them. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/justice-department/jan-6-probe-expands-officials-worry-doj-resources-are-breaking-point-rcna40208
  3. "Dereliction of duty is a specific offense under United States Code Title 10, Section 892, Article 92 and applies to all branches of the US military. A service member who is derelict has willfully refused to perform his duties (or follow a given order) or has incapacitated himself in such a way that he cannot perform his duties." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dereliction_of_duty The President is the Commander in Chief of the US Military, so I assume the UCMJ applies. His watching the mob storming the Capitol without lifting a finger, or sending a tweet, to stop it qualifies. After all, he swore an oath: I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. The mob was preventing Congress from performing its Constitutional duties, and he happily watched it run wild. It's amazing how many people are ok with Trump undermining the country in this manner. It's clear members of the Trump cult put Trump before country. Funny that some of them consider themselves patriots when they are obviously the opposite.
  4. No, not at all. You read some strange things into other people's posts.
  5. I am not thrilled with President Biden. I did not want him or anyone else over 70 running in the 2020 election, and I hope no one over 70 runs in the 2024 election. However President Biden is no threat to the nation, democracy, or our Constitutional government. Trump is a serious threat to all three, as he demonstrated on January 6. For that reason I'm thrilled to have anyone but Trump in the White House.
  6. I agree. The written description was more than enough for me. I will actively avoid videos or pictures of the crime.
  7. And now you desperately deny the obvious. A mob of thousands heard a speech from Trump in which he told them to march on the Capitol and told them they had to fight like hell. The mob marched on the Capitol chanting "fight for Trump" and "hang Mike Pence". Trump watched on television and did nothing. A single tweet from Trump would have called off his mob, but he did nothing. After Mike Pence called out the National Guard Trump tried to take credit for the call, but the truth is Trump did nothing. Trump did not need to call out the military, but if he had it would have at least shown he was on the side of defending Constitutional Democracy and law in the US, but he did nothing. The mob didn't need guns, they forced their way into the Capitol and forced Congress and the Vice President into hiding by overwhelming numbers, and Trump did nothing. Trump wanted to undermine democracy in America for his own benefit, and clearly you support him in this. You and all other Trump supporters who try to downplay the seriousness of January 6 are putting Trump before the country and the Constitution. You are not patriots.
  8. The mob that attacked the Capitol were attempting to prevent the certification of the 2020 election results and the peaceful transition of power at our highest level of government. I asked before if you were ok with a President who wouldn't lift a finger to help when the nation's Capitol was under attack. Apparently the answer is yes. If you are American you are no patriot. Regardless of your nationality you are no supporter of democracy.
  9. When it comes to money and Thailand I advise the Vegas rule: Never bring in more than you can afford to lose.
  10. Trump should be booed at every public appearance. It has been made indisputably clear that when he was POTUS he did nothing to help when a mob of his supporters were attacking the Capitol. He just watched the show on television. Anyone who supports him is no patriot or democrat. (Note that is a small "d" democrat, as in one who supports democracy.
  11. So you have no evidence for the above or anything else you've posted, and in your mind the absence of evidence shows it is true. As I said, really deep down the rabbit hole.
  12. All Trump had to do was tweet that the attack on the Capitol was not what he wanted and not making his case for remaining President any stronger. He could have called off the mob, but he didn't. That was a violation of his oath of office. That was a gross dereliction of duty. Are you actually ok with a President who won't lift a finger to help when the nation's Capitol is under attack?
  13. IF there had been any irregularities to report, they would have reported them in the two and a half months between the election and the inauguration. Since nothing was reported, and nothing has been reported since then, we can assume there never was anything to report.
  14. I'll remind you. You posted: "Any potential whistle-blowers, wouldn't blow their whistle whilst hes still POTUS , they would wait until Donald gets his job back as POTUS " I replied with: "Those potential whistle=blowers had more than two months between the election and Biden taking office; two months when Trump was still President. Why didn't they speak up then?" Your answer was: "Because they didn't want Joe to lose his job" I replied: "Trump's administration didn't want Biden to lose his job as President? Please explain." And now you state you didn't post that say that. Are you incapable of following a simple thread that you are participating in? You claim that potential whistleblowers won't act while Biden is still President. I pointed out that they had more than two months to act between the time of the election and Biden being sworn into office. Why didn't they act during that period? Since I'm sure you have no intelligent answer, I'll tell you. They didn't blow the whistle because there was nothing to blow the whistle on. There was no election fraud. Trump lost. Accept it.
  15. You are really deep down the rabbit hole when you take the absence of credible evidence as proof of a crime. Do you believe in Santa Claus? All evidence that he's real has been debunked, so that must mean he's real.
  16. Trump's administration didn't want Biden to lose his job as President? Please explain.
  17. Those potential whistle=blowers had more than two months between the election and Biden taking office; two months when Trump was still President. Why didn't they speak up then?
  18. There is no evidence of cheating on a scale that would come close to changing the election results. The trivial amount of cheating by mail uncovered seemed to be done more by Republicans than Democrats. https://www.foxnews.com/us/fourth-florida-the-villages-resident-accused-of-voter-fraud Of course Republicans serious about committing election fraud usually do so in more effective ways: https://news.yahoo.com/3-charged-2020-florida-ghost-153920154.html Trump didn't object to mail-in voting in Florida after it was explained to him that a lot of well-off retirees, who tend to vote Republican, do so by mail in Florida. Some do so more than once, as indicated above.
  19. "Can you give me any plausible reason why people from one party would be more likely than the people from another to vote using absentee ballots?" Because Trump claimed, repeatedly and without any proof, that voting by mail is subject to fraud. He objected to states making it easier to vote by mail during the pandemic, but not because of fraud. https://www.cnbc.com/2020/04/08/trump-slams-mail-in-voting-says-it-doesnt-work-out-well-for-republicans.html That discouraged Republicans from voting by mail. Democrats, who were taking the pandemic much more seriously than Republicans, were more likely to vote by mail to avoid crowded polling stations and lines to vote. In Pennsylvania almost three times as many Democrats voted by mail as Republicans. https://news.yahoo.com/democrats-voted-republicans-mail-nearly-021800530.html
  20. Irrelevant diversion. The union's strict enforcement of job duties has nothing to do with industries hiring contractors that ignore health and safety laws and that hire illegal immigrants. Unless you are arguing that the industries should be allowed to ignore health and safety laws and also allowed to hire illegal immigrants, which would eliminate the need for the contractors.
  21. You exhibit an extreme case of willful ignorance. Everyone knew that more Democrats than Republicans would vote using absentee ballots and everyone knew that the swing states that didn't start counting absentee ballots until after the election would not finish the count until late at night or the next day. What happened was predicted well in advance.
  22. It was a few thousand loons, whipped up by Trump's speech, chanting "Hang Mike Pence" and roaming the halls and offices of the Capitol in an attempt to prevent the certification of the Presidential election. A riot with a purpose; an insurrection.
  23. "If the GOP somehow manages to push the insurrectionist former occupant of the Oval aside will he go third-party? If so, and both DT and the GOP pick are defeated, I just might start believing in god!" I think you have identified why the GOP continues to cater to Trump. Trump wouldn't care if a third party bid was a dismal failure for him and the GOP so long as it kept his name in the news and his face on television. However it could cost the GOP the White House, many seats in both houses of Congress, and many state governments. The GOP would rather continue its deal with the devil than lose that much power.
  24. "Show me the videos of the destruction of the capital building..." Seriously? You haven't seen the videos? What kind of extreme information bubble do you live in?
  25. Wrong. Trump made a video the next day, long after VP Pence had called in the National Guard to clear the protesters. A call Trump should have made. https://news.yahoo.com/trump-video-outtakes-jan-6-hearing-election-over-ivanka-white-house-030543867.html As has been clearly established, Trump watched the Capitol assault on television without doing anything to stop it. And he was still Commander in Chief while he did this. There is absolutely no escaping the fact that, at the very least, Trump is guilty of gross dereliction of duty. He is clearly unfit for office.
