  1. Not really what? You clearly think it's sensible for South Korea and Japan to have nuclear weapons. That alone is proliferation. How about Taiwan? Vietnam? Philippines? Thailand? The list goes on. Once one US ally acquires nuclear weapons the incentive grows for others to acquire them as well. The more countries there are that have the weapons, the greater the chance of mistakes, miscommunications, corruption (I'm sure a nuclear weapon would bring a nice price in certain markets) and good old-fashioned paranoid over-reaction. That's why proliferation is a bad thing. Possibly civilization ending bad. You also grossly under-estimate the importance of the President's words. As I've already posted, just by speculating on South Korea acquiring nuclear weapons and acting nonchalant about it Trump had the South Korea people calling for their government to acquire such weapons. South Korea has settled down now that we have a sane person in the White House, but Trump did serious long-term damage to the trust the rest of the world has in the United States. Re-electing him would do further irreparable damage. Many people understand that Trump is an idiot and shouldn't be taken seriously. Many other don't. Look at all the people who believed the stolen election lie. Trump is a threat that should never have been President and should never again be President.
  2. Wow! You actually don't understand why nuclear proliferation is a bad thing. Clearly I over-estimated your intelligence.
  3. Trump never had respect for US institutions, but during his first Presidency he didn't know how to undermine and bypass them. He'll be much better at it if given another chance.
  4. Maybe our institutions are strong enough to survive having a grumpy ex-President with no respect for institutions re-elected, but I don't want to find out.
  5. That's all you expect from a US President? I have higher standards. I want someone who understands what the nuclear triad is and why we have it, what nuclear treaties are in place with Russia, why nuclear non-proliferation has been the policy of the US since the end of World War 2 and should remain so. Trump talked so nonchalantly about east Asian countries acquiring nuclear weapons that the South Korean public lost faith in the US defending them from North Korea and started pushing for South Korea to acquire such weapons. President Biden had to reassure South Korea that it was unnecessary for the country to acquire them. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/donald-trump-japan-south-korea-might-need-nuclear-weapons/ https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-65404805 South Korea seems satisfied for now, but if Trump is re-elected I suspect they may feel they need their own nuclear arsenal. After all, Trump approaches allies and agreements with a "what's in it for me" attitude, and he apparently doesn't see any benefit in assuring our Asian and European allies that the US's nuclear umbrella covers them also. Do I need to explain to you why we don't want nuclear proliferation, or do you accept that in that essential area Trump was, and still is, completely unqualified to be POTUS?
  6. He is a threat because he is blatantly unqualified to be President and many people don't recognize that or the danger of having an unqualified President.
  7. Actually Trump and his lawyers are very good at delay, and justice delayed is justice denied. In that regard there is a real chance he might "win", either by dying before being convicted or, God help us, getting re-elected. Reporting on this is legitimate news. Trump should be convicted of many crimes, but....
  8. Can you give some examples of this "scaremongering" from news sources? Not pundits or opinion pieces, but actual news reports?
  9. Four years of letting McConnell take care of all domestic politics while Trump limited himself to alienating allies, encouraging dictators and revealing classified information. The only reason nothing blew up was Trump didn't know how to do anything. We got lucky the first time, I wouldn't count on that luck lasting. Care to give examples of President Biden harming the country with rash policies? Do you object to infrastructure, limiting technology transfers to China, agreements with nations that restrict China's advances in the Pacific, strengthening NATO, supporting a country that doesn't want to be colonized by Russia, or some other rash policy?
  10. Do you know of evidence to support his claims, or do you think he's too honest to lie?
  11. Try to understand: The President of the United States has very real, serious responsibilities. Responsibilities that can seriously harm the country and the world if not handled correctly. Responsibilities that require knowledge and experience in law, government, politics and world affairs. Electing a flamboyant, incompetent businessman (to use the term loosely) as President because you think he symbolizes something is idiotic.
  12. You think Russia is going to build new stuff even though it can't maintain what it has now? Russia lost its best soldiers and equipment at the start of the war and is now getting old stuff out of storage and going to North Korea to beg for munitions, yet you have them building new and better stuff. How do you think that is going to happen?
  13. Idiotic from start to finish. Biden has no interest in having another war start anywhere, and I find it amusing that conspiracy theorists conclude that everyone who doesn't share their paranoid beliefs is brainwashed.
  14. You think the President should be setting car insurance rates?
  15. And now you can't refute my post so you edit out the substance. As already noted, the inflation you are so upset about began under Trump because the supply chain disruptions that caused it began under Trump. Biden inherited the mess. Why aren't you blaming Trump?
  16. In other words, neither you nor Mike Rowe can give examples of your gender studies major expecting student loan debt relief. Still a fiction.
  17. Unfortunately there are tens of millions of irrational people who believe anything he tells them.
  18. That's a nice fiction. Can you give real examples of these people?
  19. Have you seen recent interviews of Henry Kissinger? 100 years old, limited mobility, definitely not a dynamic speaker, yet still sought out be leading journalists, academics and world leaders because of his expertise and knowledge. I didn't vote for Biden because I wanted an entertaining speaker, I wanted someone with the experience to bring rationality and stability to government. I'm happy with what I got.
  20. When asked for a source you don't point in a general direction, you give a specific source. Like this one: https://www.statista.com/statistics/1351276/wage-growth-vs-inflation-us/ It shows inflation taking off at the end of the Trump administration, wages lagging initially as they always do, and wage now exceeding inflation. That's how it generally works; people don't know how high inflation is until after it happens, so negotiate wages for the future without knowing what future inflation will be.
  21. Are you the new troll from Conspiracy-Theories-R-US? "Amazing how many people on this forum really don't understand what is happening here." If you would actually provide specific acts of illegal activities credible facts to support your claims you might convince some people.
