  1. "Putin agrees to strong security promises"... lol, are you kidding me. Putler has completely gaslit Trump on so many levels... and Trump has to agree as the FSB have dirt on Trump. So, the Kremlin is promising "guarantees" like it did when the USSR collapsed, so it could get back the nukes from Ukraine and Ukraine agreed, only to be screwed over later by Putler. Ukraine needs to be very careful of the Kremlin's forked tongue as it's always lies... and build up its defense capabilities. Putler is president for life, Trump is only president for the next 3 or so years. Putler can play the long game, assuming he lives that long (but with all the body doubles I wouldn't surpised if Putin is still in charge in 70 years). Putler will make his next move at the end of Trump's term when he can't do anything and put pressure on the new US president straight away... easy political math.
  2. Trump has made a mistake on this one regarding Putler. He has listened to, and had it stroked, his ego and desire for legacy, instead of what is right for Europe/Ukraine. Trump has done many things that are okay because that's what he said he would do... so he has followed through on many topics... but not Ukraine. Trump wants a Nobel Peace price as a legacy on his CV etc. but has failed to realise he is playing the same role as Neville Chamberlin... and will come back from Moscow in the next meeting waving a piece of paper saying "peace in our time" etc., then too look silly. Trouble is, at the end of Trump's term, or the start of the next president's term, Putin will make his move (assuming he is still alive) and go for it after the next 3-4 years of re-arming. History will judge this time of appeasement very harshy... just because Trump made a bad call on this because he admires dictators and that is no different from the CEO business top-down management. We'll all see the truth soon.
  3. Prince Andrew is clearly a liability and a complete Richard... should be totally told to go live in a new reality and vanish from the current reality.
  4. One day it soars, then next it tanks... TAT needs to get it's act together and stop doing a copy and paste of the CCP propaganda style nonsense it keeps vomiting. I guess the truth gets lost in the opaque nonsense they are told to put out.
  5. The problem is that you can't get everything from one place. I have to go to about four different places to get what I want as nowhere sells it all. Yes, I go to Big C for some things, but I also have to go elsewhere to get stuff that can't be found at Big C.
  6. Clearly Bangkok Bank is being a Richard... it just depends if such BS spreads to other banks. I personally have multiple bank accounts here, but not with Bangkok Bank as they are not really very cool for foreigners. My suggestion to everyone is to open accounts with other banks before the contagion spreads... SCB and Krungshri makes sense.
  7. Indeed. China had everything about to fall into their lap on every front... and Xi effed it up with his nonsense that harkens back to Mao. He has screwed it up so badly that most Chinese want the days of Hu Jintao to come back. Xi should have stepped down and let China quietly rise as it would be so powerful by now, but Xi screwed the pooch on it. You reap what you sow... and good for the West that this has happened as China is weakened greatly by Xi's rule.
  8. We are not talking about the British government in this thread... we are talking about the CCP etc. If you have a problem with the UK government, then start a new thread. Such trolling nonsense and off topic... can't say what I want to on such a moronic response, as I'll get suspended.
  9. A clear indication that Hun Sen's regime is a dictatorship like the CCP. Threatening to take away passports and take land from people who don't comply echos Khmer Rouge nonsense, which Hun Sen was a big part of... hopefully Hun Sen will end this mortal coil soon as he's a PoS.
  10. Pets often become more than just pets, especially if they live a long time, they become friends and party of your family. Many people get more attached to their pets than they do to humans and it is a severe loss when they go. My personal experience with this is owning a Flemish Giant rabbit (they grow big) and they are the perfect gentle friendly rabbit... they just eat a lot but are super chilled etc. It lived a long time, but when its time came, my wife and I just decided to let nature take its course, as trying to keep it alive for our own emotional reasons seemed unfair as it might cause it pain... we haven't had another as the loss was large.
  11. China denies everything on all topics (the floods in China are a good example), regardless of anything... all a lie on everything. You can't believe anything from those oppressive CCP commies... and if you say anything in China, then it's scrubbed and those posting arrested. Basically, if they shut something down and erase it on the internet, plus arrest everyone who dares to say anthing about anything, then it didn't happen and let's carry on as normal.
  12. This isn't just about buying a submarine... it's about a long-term military committment and relationship for as long as the thing stays in service. If China wants to cut Thailand off at any time, then they can and the sub either goes to the bottom of the ocean sometime or ends up in dry dock. In my opinion, you would need nerves of steel to serve on and export version of a not top-of-the-line Chinese sub... along with the Chinese military placing tracking/monitoring devices on board somewhere so that they know where it is, and a kill switch wouldn't be out of the question knowing how the CCP operate. Secondly, Chinese kit is rubbish generally and unproven in combat, especially the export versions, not the same as the one they keep for themselves. Thailand can also kiss goodbye to buying any decent western kit from now on, which is lightyears ahead of the rest of the world... but more expensive. Truth is, you can't cheap-Charlie it on defence equipment... you get what you pay for.
  13. Cambodia taking lessons from the Kremlin on casualty numbers by the look of it.
  14. It's well-known that the temple system is rotten to the core and that the monastic order is full of shady criminals and dodgy monks that hide in plain sight under the orange robes. I mean, how can you think that it's a good idea that abbots of temples are personally in charge of all the money and donations, in their private accounts, with no oversight or accountability? No way, talk about temptation and blatant corruption... and on top of that they are shagging women too. They need to clear house and wind in the lawless monks or people will just become cynical over it all. In my opinion, temple finances should be controlled and overseen by professional financiers that are not part of the monastic order... although, that doesn't guarantee everything but it's better than having greedy lustful abbots running around damaging Buddhism.
  15. "What happened to Rock n Roll music"... well, a combination of gay unmanly nonsense that has swept society with silly kids thinking people like Taylor Swift is offering an answer... may I throw up.
  16. The hypocrites on this topic won't post because they want it buried asap and "go away", as it doesn't "gel " with their warped narrative.
  17. All of them on both sides should be in jail and dismissed from politics... a new start for both sides is needed with no old men in charge.
  18. Getting to the point where you can only live here like we used to with a work permit.
  19. So, it's unelected EU judges telling elected politicians what to do. Doesn't matter who you vote for, faceless ivory-tower types that are so far disconnected from reality tell world governments what to do. Countries should start leaving the ECHR on mass and dilute it's power, as it now longer fit for purpose and outdated. It's almost as if these lofty detached judges see no harm in a tsunami of illegal immigrants with nothing to offer (other than sponge off the taxpayer), and many are criminals and a threat to society/culture or even social cohesion. Strong is the delusion of so many now on such topics as the issue will never affect them in the champagne socialist leafy suburb lifestyle locations... protest and revolution is coming as people are getting p!ssed off about it.
  20. Yes, it's been badly handled and the Thais should have realised that once the Cambodians first shot rockets and they landed, like the one that flattened the 7-11 and killed people, they should have hit back really hard and hit everything they wanted to, and fast. Why? Firstly, once the first rocket lands then the clock is ticking before some self-righteous third party jumps in and starts doing the "calm down, calm down" stuff. Secondly, if you hit them hard, as the Thai military are way stronger, they have the opportunity to show their military strength so that in the future neighbours will leave them alone or think twice about taking the p!ss. Thailand could have taken out all Cambodia's beligerent assets fast and should have done so, then can shrug its shoulders and say "fine" when the UN/China/US ect. wade in and say "enough"... too slow Thailand.
  21. This whole deal is a huge pile of foul-smelling freshly-laid steaming pile of cow manure designed to hoodwink everyone... as if you could trust Macron and Starmer, give me a break.
  22. Just ignore this nonsense, as Thai officialdom has a hard time investigating anything unless it goes viral on social media and the chances of normal foreigners being caught are next to zero, unless they specifically investigate you because you have come to their attention through misdeeeds. Just bring any money to Thailand in small amounts through Wise, bet you no-one will notice or when you travel outside Thailand, just bring some cash with you that's under the limit to what you can without declaring it... so many are poo-panty about this stuff.
  23. If it was the UK, she would probably have got probation for a couple years because of the possibility of "mental cruelty" might be experienced in a 3 star "hotel"... sorry prison.
  24. Looks like an Auschwitz victim being forced to dig his own grave... slightly inconvenient truth for the Hamas apologists. Even most of the Muslim world has rejected Hamas and told them to disarm and hand over governance of the Gaza strip to the West Bank authorities... which is an offer they should take, as it looks like the window for that sort of resolution is closing. Ultimately, Hamas has to go, just depends on how they want to meet their demise. As an aside, the silence on this thread from the usual suspects is deafening and damning.
