Will Trump's "war on facts" eventually catch up with him?
I don't honestly think Vance has what it takes to convince everyone to vote for him... maybe a charisma deficet there for him. But there could be others that energe in the next few years that can replace him. As for the Dems.... Harris would be a mistake, need someone new... no crazy word salads would help too.

EU civil war erupts as Italy's Giorgia Meloni explodes!
ECHR is outdated and unfit for modern time, and these judges that are making political decisions are out of order and beyond their remit, as they are unelected and biased, plus can be gotten to by Brussles. Hold a referendum about if you should leave the ECHR or not, as there is a procedure for leaving.

Will Trump's "war on facts" eventually catch up with him?
Trump probably doesn't care, as he has like 3 and a half years to do what he wants, then it's over and something new will emerge... let's hope it's someone younger from both sides, as it is needed that we have people that understand the modern world instead of nostalgic old men trying to turn the clock back.

Gaza: We are dying slowly, save us !
Picture is AI BS. Hamas has to choose between being destroyed or doing the right thing for their people, disarming, and letting the West Bank Palestinian Authorities take over Gaza... or everyone gets killed. Terrorist governments cannot be allowed to survive, as they will only fester and become insidious again over time. Give it (Gaza) all to the West Bank authorities to manage and there might be a better outcome... Hamas is finished, and rightly so.

US Imposes 19% Tariff on Thailand in Major Trade Shift
Well, Thailand can hardly grumble about it, as they slap high tariffs on many imports and it's way higher that 19%... Thailand needs to understand the two words "reciprocity" and Realpolitik.

Canada to Recognise Palestinian State, Following France and UK
It's really simple, Hamas disarms, leaves power and releases any hostages, plus gives control of the Gaza strip to the West Bank Palestinian authorities in return for security guarantees for Israel and the access of aid and help. All terrorist governments should be dismantled and Hamas fits this MO. This is the only way both sides can save face and move forward. And before the shills yap yap yap... it was Hamas that started this in the most awful way. What was Hamas expecting as a response? Everyone knows that the Israelis don't have a sense of humour when it comes to security, never have had one and rightly so. There should already be a "Palestine" as Clinton almost did it in the 90s, but Arafat said "No"... reap what you sow, I'm afraid. Always like this.

British Expat’s Roast Hunt in Thailand Goes Viral
There's little problem finding good English food in Thailand and you can easily make it yourself, as most cities have the ingedients available somewhere. However, if you are a lazy Gen Z TikToker, then doing anything for yourself or being oraganized must sound like a life-threatening situation or at the least a micro-aggression.

Border Tensions: Hun Sen's Influence Remains Strong
Hun Sen is a former Khmer Rouge district commander that flipped sides once he knew the writting was on the wall and the Vietnamese were coming for him... he literally has blood on his hands and skeletons in the closet, and has not had to answer for his misdeeds.

Thailand's Future at Risk: Education and Job Woes Loom
You raise a few good points... but one of the most significant points many teachers raise is that one of the biggest problems in classes is to get them to participate, and speaking in group or pair work and practice. Yes, there is a difference between teaching and lecturing and it's all about class size... once you get over 25 students in a class, then it's no longer teaching, and many unis and high schools have classes of like 50+. That's a lecture, as you can't monitor students and spend time with each one individually to help them progress... it's listen up and understand it or not, unless you want to ask questions, and good luck with that for most of them.

Not true... CCP progaganda to make their defence shares rise. Try looking at independent analysis.

Seven More Tragic Deaths in Gaza: Malnutrition Crisis Deepens
No, wrong again... it is your lack of comprehesion of reality as you clearly live in an arrogant bubble where someone, like your mother, taught you that you were the best, which is clearly stupid. As I said, no point us talking an more, as our differences are too far apart and no good will come of further interaction... blocked.

Seven More Tragic Deaths in Gaza: Malnutrition Crisis Deepens
Opinions are like ass-holes, everyone has one... and this topic is subjective, believe what you like. If you want to chase this, then it is you that is being arrogant and intolerant because you can't accept other's views... maybe some inflection on your part is needed as the issue clearly resonates with you, and probably when you look in the mirror as you are far too aggressive. Guess we are done here then.

Thailand's Future at Risk: Education and Job Woes Loom
Well, not a huge surprise as Thailand's education system is still stuck in the past regarding student development and methodology, and all the rest. It all goes wrong in high school as it's just 6 years of brainwashing nonsense and conditioning... and by the time they reach university, it's generally too late for most, but not all. In today's modern world, you need both hard skills and soft skills, but the focus here is always on hard skills. However, in the incoming AI influenced future, many are not being skilled properly for the oncoming change. As for soft skills, things like communication, time management, organization, responsibility and critical thinking skills are woefully neglected... and that just makes many of the graduates not fit for purpose. If you want a successful society and business environment, then you have to encourage free-thinking and innovation... not traditional dogma and conditioning so that it serves the elite. You have to make a choice and we all know which one is chosen here... you reap what you sow.

Seven More Tragic Deaths in Gaza: Malnutrition Crisis Deepens
Israel has done the world's dirty work for them because none of them have the means or gumption to do it... terrorist states should be taken out. Even the other Arab countries are now calling for Hamas to disarm and surrender control of the Gaza strip to the Palestine authorities in the West Bank, which is what should happen. What people forget (especially the naive new types) is that there should already be a "Palestine" and a two-state solution... Clinton almost did it in the 90s and the Israelis at the time under Barak agreed, just that Arafat said "No" as he couldn't let go of the hate. As far as Hamas is concerned... you reap what you sow and this is a glaring example of it.

Kamala Harris Shuns California Governor Bid, Eyes 2028 Presidential Run
Lol... the quickest way for the Dems to lose the next presidential election in 3 and a half years is to nominate her as candidate. Get ready for some really long word salads coming your way again. Ha ha!

Thailand's Gripen Fighters Make Combat Debut in Cambodia Clash
Maybe, but the Chinese kit has come up short in a few recent clashes like Israeli airstrikes in Iran and Indian strikes on Pakistan, both of which were condifently mouthing-off about their Chinese SAM's capability and numbers etc. but they failed to even work without shooting anything down. The Chinese kit is way over-hyped and the export versions are probably even worse than the ones China keeps for itself.

Thailand's Gripen Fighters Make Combat Debut in Cambodia Clash
The Gripen is a good and solid fighter by all reports, but the sentence about its capabilities in active combat are stretching it a bit, when Cambodia doesn't have an airforce or any SAMs worthy of mention... just lots of inaccurate rocket launchers from the Soviet times that are a bit of a case of point and hope/spray and pray really. Give some Gripens to Ukraine and let them put them through the paces and we'll see what the real deal is.

Border Tensions Lead to Thai Tourism Cancellations
Not sure why businesses in Korat are getting cancelations... a little paranoid and skittish to think that Cambodian missiles will start fly into places like that, as they are a long way from the border.

Ruling Party’s Future in Jeopardy: Pheu Thai Battles Public Discontent
This recent spat has all been about Thailand annoying Hun Sen's family structure with their crackdowns on scamming centers and possibly legalizing casinos/gambling, which both will hit Cambodia's revenue stream.... hence the handbags. The real question is, who actually leaked the conversation between the Thai PM and Hun Sen as it really doesn't serve either side much... they would have just made a shady deal behind closed doors as normal. No, a third party did it, and you have to wonder who might be able to listen in on any conversation anywhere in the world... well, we all know that answer (PRISM/Five-Eyes). I think it goes way deeper than most think... and strangely enough the USS Nimitz is conveniently making a port call at this exact time, and China has been made to look like it has no influence, plus Trump wades in and says "No trade deal without peace" doesn't pass the smell test imo. Go figure.
-
Re-entry permit: what's the logic behind it?
It's for people on long-stay visas, so they can leave and come back without disruption to their yearly visa... useful for those on work permits, non-Os, or retirement visas if you have to visit somewhere.

Lions Roaring in Thailand: TikToker's Pets Spark Controversy
Well, keeping lions as pets and having hybrid ligers, that shouldn't exist in nature, that just grows to a massive size, as the reason is that male lions have the growth boosting hormones but female tigers don't, so they get much bigger.... but cannot survive in nature for many reasons. This guy in the OP article is a huge case of "What could go wrong?". The authorities shouldn't letting there be a free-for-all about lions and tigers etc. and let novice breeders just go all yahoo and do what they want... bad idea and feeds the illegal wildlife trade.

Wow! Starting a thread like this on here considering the level of compassion generally shown... is, well, asking for it on the snarky front.

Why are there 10,000 topics about Trump?
You talk about frustration etc., but it wasn't much different under Biden really other than a few things like immigration, and probably won't be any different after Trump... I think it goes deeper and is more systemic than most realize, and won't be suddenly fixed if Trump disappears at some point.
