  1. Probably more than most would like to think. The other back channel are those warehouses on the Cambodian border that are so close to the actual border that you can open a gate at the back of them and once you step through said gate, you are in the other country. They are supposed to remain locked and closed, but sounds pretty dodgy to me and way open to abuse. Corruption is buried so deep into everything and everywhere here, from crime to sales scams embezzling school meal funds for the under 5-year-olds to goodness knows what, that I really would suspect that the answer to your question is quite a lot. I would guess that's what the US is concerned about, just can't trust these sort of places with anything.
  2. Dream on... there may be a lull, but the hate and contempt between the two sides is too strong, as it's religious nutjob stuff. There will be a final reckoning in the future between these two... just a matter of when and who is involved.
  3. Truth is that everything is fake now... especially on the internet.
  4. Good, I hope this manipulated nonsense comes unstuck, and the US and others are right to consider Thailand as a currency manipulator... just ridiculous how strong it is.
  5. Anyone who quotes the Guardian is having a laugh.
  6. Dream on if you think the BBC or Guardian etc. would report this... they are probably actively trying to bury the truth on it and everything other than their narrative, which is hopelessly pro-palestine and far left, and the actual physical Guardian newspaper is good for nothing other than emergency toilet paper. If you want the real unbiased news then go read or subscribe to "Ground News" rather than the hopelessly biased MSM.
  7. The 1% also follow the mantra of "Buy borrow die" to avoid taxes.
  8. The US is probably rightly concerned about Thailand's relationship with China and the possiblility of the re-routing/origin washing of Chinese goods through Thailand. Thailand always sits on the fence and everyone knows it... probably the same reason the US won't sell advanced military equipment to Thailand either as it'll just end up in Beijing to be reversed engineered.
  9. Nice bitter comment... give you that and you can easily reverse that notion too with the new scammers ripping of everyone to get rich quick.
  10. Just makes you a target for scamming by someone... much better to keep levels of wealth secret. Also, rich people with class never talk about money... it's crass and vulgar.
  11. This whole sorry episode is a glaring example to investors of why you shouldn't invest here. One day, suddenly it's okay, then you get a new government and they do a 180 and thousands of people collectively lose billions. This encompasses everything you shouldn't do if you want to attract investment... just too risky for people (might as well just walk into the street and throw your money in the air), and that's the problem here with many things, people just don't know where the goal posts will be in the near future, and it's not just on this, goes for visas, WP, property and all sorts.
  12. This is a good example of far-lefty evil. So, it's perfectly okay for the intolerant left to attack a minority like Jews in such a brazen way, but if the boot was on the other foot, then you are instantly arrested and jailed for speech crime... go figure you effing two-tier Kiers morons. These vicious and deluded musicians should be arrested and jailed for hate crimes.... like everyone else would be. Reminds me of Putin saying that bombing Iran is out of order but it's okay for him to blow the hell out of Ukraine... FO. Strong is the duplicity with many now.
  13. A little rich coming from the Mexicans, who export thousands of their people to the US yearly only for them to remit their earnings back to Mexico, which keeps it afloat... and you are worried about a bunch of digital nomads working from their bedrooms in Mexican cities. Couldn't make it up. Fine, Mexico ban all US citizens and the US ban all Mexican citizens, reciprocity is good hey... quid pro quo, lol, good luck with that regarding who loses. So many morons mouthing off these days about nonsense.
  14. Well, depends if Vance can break free from being VP and have a personality and policies... which at least Trump does, even if polarising.
  15. There seems to be much anti-foreigner/tourist sentiment in many parts of the world now.
  16. Sorry, but two live gibbons in pet carriers... and BBK customs missed them. Sounds like a legit oversight... not. I would imagine that they would make a lot of noise etc., WTF. Customs must have been bribed to look the other way as otherwise that's just ridiculous. Next one will be a Rhino found in a shipping container from Thailand at JFK Airport US and US customs is stunned that Thai customs missed it.
  17. Sounds like a good deal, but I won't be buying a Chinese EV until the market settles down and can see which companies will achieve longevity and be around for the long term and which will fold. There are far too many EV manufacturers (over a hundred) in China and few of them will ultimately survive... as you mentioned in the title, NETA has already folded and there will be many more. Call me old fashioned or risk averse, but I don't want to get lumped with a vehicle where after-sales service and repair is problematic, and these Chinese EV car companies don't have the best rep on that front.
  18. Just do what China does, which is let the dams get full and when the next storm happens sneakily open the gates at 3 am whilst dark, give no warnings, let the cities flood, and then deny everything the next day because the dams are more important than peoples' lives or houses. Anyone who complains, just arrest and disappear them.
  19. Actually, I think the Thai casino idea is a good one as it would challenge Hun Sen and his family's hold of the gambling income stream around here that they rely on to hold power, plus would generate tax revenue for Thailand too. This is probably why Cambodia is being hostile at the moment, because it doesn't want gambling legalised in Thailand... to any extent. I say go for it, and choke off some funds flowing to the ex-Khmer Rouge district commander and his family.
  20. Why any country would let in mass amounts of uneducated muslim men with nothing to offer other than their dogmatic religious nonsense towards women is just moronic. Islam teaches that all non-muslim women are there to be prostitutes or sexually serve muslim men... how studpid are European countries?
  21. Good, split the Labour vote as the Labour party is essentually two parties together. There are those that thought with Starmer in charge they would get a Tony Blair/Gordon Brown "New" Labour 2.0 style government and the other lot, which is larger than many think, is Corbyn's hard-left Labour bankrolled by the unions. No problem with me if all the far-lefty communists coalesce into a single party and everyone can see them for what they really are, rather than hiding in plain site pretending to be mainstream Labour, as they will become irrevelent and do far less damage. Hopefully Corbyn will get all the Momentum morons to jump ship too and stop being the cancer they are in the Labour party now.
  22. Very few Thai government ideas survive contact with reality... the Ministry of Grand Plans and Lofy Ideas at it again.
  23. Well, letting in all the Indians and Russians will make that happen, as HIV is widespread in both populations... even if under reported.
