  1. I think the one on the right is Trump, yes?
  2. Where can you fly for 1000 baht? I don't think I have ever paid credit card fees booking a flight.
  3. Biden is trying to tax unrealized capital gains.
  4. I booked a hotel today, the cheapest I could find was just booking the hotel website. There was one booking site that was the same price, but the rest were higher,
  5. I think the phrase it the Mounties always get their man, not the US. I have also heard it "Rangers always get their man. (Texas Rangers) I have never heard the phrase "USA always gets its man".
  6. That right there is funny...
  7. How does a graph of what the public thinks about an issue like climate change support an argument one way or the other. Notice they do not ask how many people want to pay twice as much for electricity.
  8. And the whole time Biden was pandering for votes with loan forgiveness, he was told repeatedly that it was unconstitutional. Even after the court ruled against him, he keeps trying to illegally buy votes on the backs of the taxpayers. Why should people that took no student loan, or took a student loan and paid it back, have to pay for the deadbeats that are not paying down their loans? How does that make sense?
  9. Yes No No one voted on loan forgiveness. The Supreme Court should consider the popularity of a particular issue, the court's only concern should be the legality. In this case, the court rightly concluded that the President does not have to power to forgive student loans.
  10. I have not accused you of making anything up. The "evidence" was not full of lies, the data and method we sound. The articles written by "journalists" were full of lies. That's what I thought I have read and understood enough to know that most of what is written for the public is nonsense. Mechanical, I worked in mostly manufacturing, still do a bit of consulting. My sister is civil, she worked in water resources, distribution at first and later wastewater treatment. She just retired this year, My dad was electrical.
  11. Saw "Hellhound" Hellhound (2024) - IMDb action/crime/thriller. I think this is a Thai movie made for export. It was mostly in English, but takes place mostly in Thailand which made it kind of fun. That said, the acting was mostly terrible and the story lame. 4/10
  12. Saw "The Exorcism" https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11240348/ Horror/Fantasy with Russell Crowe, who I generally like. I thought it was pretty good for what it was, if a bit silly at times. Could have been longer and explained more. 5/10
  13. My Asus had a charging issue that turned out to be the motherboard. It took a couple weeks to get the board because I bought the laptop in the US and it was not supported in Thailand. Did you buy it in Thailand?
  14. Of course. How? Yet here you are. Wikipedia? I do not remember the study, it came out (I think) over ten years ago and the 93% was quoted for years. Do you have one more recent? I know of people that think otherwise, but I don't know anyone. Of course. Long on rhetoric, short on data. When I said: "I don't accept anything I am unable to review", your response was: "...- well, in that case you've got a bit of reading to do. Probably enough for the rest of your life if you spend 16 hours a day at it." Does that not imply that one should take studies at face value? I am an engineer.
  15. Video evidence is not admissible when leftist protestors are involved.
  16. How much have they risen on average?
  17. There is a nice Asus repair center in Lat Krabang, I had a laptop repaired there, great service, a bit on the pricy side as I remember.
  18. Someone claimed earlier in the thread that "...in central Bangkok you can find a nice 2 bedroom place for 30,000 baht per month." which was what I was responding to. I think we agree. I'm not in another province, I rent the apartment for my boy that goes to school in Salaya. We rented a two bedroom for when we visit.
  19. It's the laptop that's broken. He also wants to sue for lost revenue.
