I'm married with kids, my both sisters are married, one has kids, brother's married with kids, they all loved Novotel Siam Square. Entertained people visiting our Thailand plant for twenty years and they most all loved it. Plenty to see and do withing walking distance. The gash-hounds I put in the Landmark or Centerpoint Terminal 21.

People looking at cheaper hotels are going for breakfast at the Oriental or Shangri-la? Does the Centerpoint not include breakfast? Siam Siam Square is on the BTS Silom & Sukhumvit lines, one (or two) station from the airport link. Walk to Paragon, Siam Center, Siam Square One...

It's a four-day visit, with one of them spent (for whatever reason) at Chatuchak Market.

I recommend Novotel Siam Square to most people visiting Bangkok. It should be right at or below the 3K mark. I think the location just can't be beat.

I am always amused by people claiming they "know" how the markets are going to move, particularly when they are wearing cheap shoes...
