Transformers actually drove better (no weaving in & out of lanes; consistent speed; used lights at night)!!!

Maybe it's a tactful snub? (But then again, would one junta snub another because of Human Rights?!!)

........It was the 'Foreigner's' fault of course!..........
You know nothing of the accident other than what you read here. Stop spreading the urban myth that it is always the foreigner's fault here. Search the forum to see that this has been debunked here many times.
I think he was being sarcastic!

What a prat!!

Condolences to all families.
WHEN, OH WHEN, OH WHEN will these people ever learn to drive!

I have to agree, the allegations seem too unbelievable. I can’t help but think that this is the lighting of some sort of trumped up fuse to start some sort of action against teachers.
Trumped up? I know many people around the world are in jail due to trumped up charges, but to frame someone for THIS kind of thing knowing they'd probably never see the light of day again? I really dunno!!

Mac ain't gonna like this post!!!

Quis custodiet custodiens ?
Quis custodiet ipsos custodes surely? Juvenal would be spinning in his grave!!

I wonder what happen if i have my passport pages finish with no space for a new visa stamp?
Are you serious? What a bloody stupid question to ask.
A troll, methinks.

Just because you got one, doesn't necessarily mean that you'll get another (especially if not married). I would try Brisbane, Perth or Hull for a MULTI entry Non O.
PS
Dunc: Fame (Chumphon) trip to Ranong worked a teat. Thanx again!!
-
Yep. Another world-beater.

.............A consistent approach from all embassies/consulates would help.
You know that's never gonna happen!! What may work is a special section in Thaivisa dedicated to each and every consulate around the world; how they behave towards applicants in both helpfulness and documentation required and this should be updated on every application.
Just my 2 satangs worth.

H2ODunc is one of the few Chumphon residents posting.
Samui residents most likely wouldn't go through Chumphon at all.
Yes, I know, but surely Koh Tao ones would? That's why I posted on both forums. Anyway, all booked, so no probs!!
-
Thanks very much, Dunc
You know, out of 2 forums (this one & Koh Tao forum), you are the ONLY person to have answered me. Thanks again. I have booked with Fame Tours to go to Ranong on Saturday.

All arranged. Thanks for nothing everyone who looked at this topic.

Hi all up there.
Is the MaeSai / Tachilek border open as per usual (after all this nonsense in Rangoon)? If so, what is needed (ie passport photos or passport photocopies etc or $USD) for an extra 90 days on a Non O (Multi entry)?
Thanks

MONDAY 5 NOV
Hi everyone.
I'm sure this has been done to death, but I urgently need to know the following:
1. Are the Ranong/Kawthaung immigration offices open this Sunday?
2. If so, how can I get from Pak Nam Chumphon to Ranong on an organised visa run?
I am usually well planned on these things, but my wife's father has just died (in Pak Nam) and I'm going down for the funeral. I had another visa run (Bali) planned, and this obviously has had to be cancelled.
Alternatively, if someone is going that way on Sunday in their own car, I would be more than happy to pay my way for fuel.
Thanks for your time

You think corruption is rife in Thailand? It has taken years to build a simple airport link. Wait until you see what happens over the border with this rail project!!

I saw a drink distribution machine
In French it's called " un distributeur de boissons"
Now if you think your combined knowledge of Dutch, French, German or Thai is better than my English, please let me know (lets say just one of these will do)
I think he was laughing with you, not at you.
Correct. I was pointing out the fact that all a 'major hub' has is a drinks machine to satisfy passengers!!

Whats more important the news or who posts it first? Settle down now girls.
